It's been a long time :') I've gotten a lot of requests from people asking about Inuyasha and Kagome's ending for years, so I've put together a collection of scenes that confirm their marriage. Sadly, this is all we get from the anime as they never actually show the wedding. But they did get married nevertheless, so yay! DO NOT WATCH IF YOU DON'T LIKE SPOILERS.

Edit: Also to clarify the confusion in the comment section about Kagome’s outfit: She’s not copying Kikyo. Her outfit is the traditional priestess outfit of Japan of that time period. It is the same outfit worn by many other priestesses in the series such as Hitomiko, Kaede, etc. It is also seen in other anime such as Red Data Girl and Kaze no Stigma. Rumiko had her wear it to symbolize that she became an official priestess. It again has nothing to do with Kikyo 😇

I have to admit, although I loved that Kagome and Inuyasha ended up together, I was upset Kagome was unable to ever return home.
I know, as happy as I am for them, I still feel like it was one big loss in the end. Makes me wish there was some kind of continuation and the well would open up somehow for the sake of Kagome's yearning that her WHOLE family be together. :(

I’m glad that Inuyasha and Kagome are together but I wish we could have seen the moment Inuyasha finally told Kagome he loves her. It would have made it much more satisfying. It would have been nice to see their wedding too

For clarity: *1. Inuyasha and Kagome got married* after she graduated from highschool. *2. Sessho x Rin confirmed.* Kaede took her to grow up with humans "for a while" (she's a child), however, *once she gets older they'll let her decide* who she wants to live with (Kaede or Sesshomaru). Confirm it @1:03
*3. Sesshomaru is pleased with his sister-in-law* I don't think he hated being called brother. He had a very tsundere (typical Vegeta / Seto Kaiba) reaction to it. When the toad called her disrespectful, he told his minion to shut up or he'll kill him. This shows he'll be very protective towards Kagome in the future. Confirm it @1:25

I absolutely love this anime. It's what got me into anime 10 years ago...I remember waiting forever for the final act to come out, how irritated I was...now that it's over it's almost depressing not getting to see how they're life is continuing on. I've rewatching this anime so many times...ending still makes me feel the same, happy and sad. Inuyasha and kagome will continue to be my favourite anime couple. (Other then Kira and Lacus from Gundam seed destiny ^^)

I just take it that her relationships in the present were all played as a joke. All people’s reactions to her excuses and oddities were absurd. The fact that her mother didn’t immediately freak out when Inuyasha first showed up unannounced is testament to that.

This was the first ever anime i became addicted to. Addicted sooo bad that id right i love inuyasha every night way back 5th/6th grade(2011-2012). My goodness. Today ive decided to go back listening to anime songs i used to watch as a child. Nostalgic. Makes me cry. Takes me back to the past and to moments. Inuyasha was my first ever crush to the point i really was inlove with him and looking at him made my heart flutter so much more than any human being HAHAHAHA. Maybe that's why im not the type to easily fall for someone hahahahah

Other than that this actually shows there love! My favorite parts in this episode were when Kagome saves Inuyasha, and the end!!! While I don’t like how rushed this final season was or the fact they skipped the chapter with Sesshoumaru’s mom, the ending was really well done. I wish Naruku’s goons got a better send off especially Kagura. But I’m happy with this ending. Took forever to get there and I enjoyed this series. Still my overall favorite - sorry Sailor Moon. Lol
the manga was the same after inuyasha learned the spiky attack, it sped up like crazy

It is really funny, that Sesshy always tells his enemies that he does not see Inuyasha as a brother, but when he talks with Inuyasha he always make statesments like "your big brother" 😅 sometimes I really thought he just wants brother love :P

Oh im excited for Yashahime Princess Half-Demon (inuyasha's sequel). It will follow the journey of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's daughters. And what I'm really curious about is the plot that Moroha (inuyasha's daughter) lived by herself for most of her life and knows very little about her parents. So what happened to Kagome and Inuyasha?! I don't wanna think their dead 😭
