Bruh if you pay attention to the vid it's telling u being rich don't make u happy rich kyle didn't smyle once in this video but Grinding kyle was smyling the whole time. Made me love the vid x10 more
the pizza guys life is the first few minutes of the song. the rest is a guy who has always had everything but still isnt happy with his life, actually a pretty deep song.
From what I got from the video. He is just surveying his life from the changes that happened. Before he was successful, he was enjoyin the simple life of just working a day to day job, no issues.... he could just rap without needing to please people. Fast forward to the future, he is successful, not working at a pizza place, he is getting paid to rap now. Though with this success he feels more far away from the person he used to be, dealing with pleasing people on the daily rather than just being able to rap and living a life with no worries. The mirror look was him review himself, noticing he wasn't the happy/no worries guy he used to be...
The way I perceive the video is that he starts out as a normal person in the struggle of becoming rich working as a pizza delivery man. Then later in the song when he made it big he realized that he wasn't himself and the money changed him. When he saw himself as the pizza guy he knew things had to change and he was gonna go back to his old lifestyle... Like so others can see
Not trying to be "Captain Obvious" but I'll explain the music video for anyone who doesn't get it. There's nothing wrong with not getting it. Ok, here we go: There's clearly two Kyles in the video, one pizza man and one successful rapper. Pizza man Kyle is joyful Kyle. Even though Pizza man Kyle doesn't make much money, he's content, humble, and happy. He's smiling through the whole video. Rapper Kyle is a depressed soul. Rapper Kyle doesn't even smile once during the entire video. Even though this video was put out before Kyle's "View From Hollywood" video, this goes hand in hand with his song, "View From Hollywood". In View From Hollywood's first verse, Kyle raps about how he's feeling blessed, which can line up with Pizza man Kyle's excellent mood. In the second verse of View From Hollywood, Kyle goes into detail about how he's lonely, how he doesn't get the chance to see his real friends anymore, and how he's began to "drink that shit (alcohol) by the case again". The second verse describes Rapper Kyle's perspective, Pizza man Kyle = 1st verse of View From Hollywood. Rapper Kyle = 2nd verse from View From Hollywood. Listen to that song and it'll make more sense. Now that we got that part out of the way, why does Rapper Kyle look so pissed at the house party? Well, up to 2:06, he looks bored, but after seeing his girl smoking weed with that other guy at 2:03, he becomes pissed. At 2:06, Kyle is looking out of the window at them. Remember, Kyle doesn't smoke weed. When he sees his girl chilling with another guy, he assumes that she's messing around. When Pizza man Kyle and Rapper Kyle sees each other at 2:34, that really happened. It's not a result of Rapper Kyle being too drunk. I guess they're in some sort of alternate universe because both of them exists simultaneously. Either or, fast-forwarding to 3:04, Rapper Kyle is still pissed at the girl so he points her out the door without a hug or any other action of affection. Rapper Kyle's alone now. Fast-forwarding to the mirror scene.. Why did Rapper Kyle cry? Well, to put it plainly, that's all that he could do. When he looked in the mirror and saw his Pizza man Kyle reflection, he realized that, back when he didn't have "success", he was legitimately happy and now he's depressed and lonely. With the realization that he did, in fact, change (emotionally), he sheds a tear. He misses how things used to be but he knows that there's no going back.
powerpro2013 Just to clarify the scene with the two Kyles seeing each other. It was metaphorical. When Rapper Kyle saw the pizza man all happy go lucky and whatnot it reminded him of who he once was, the pizza man looked like him not physically but in likeness i.e. "he saw himself in him." When the pizza man saw Kyle answer the door and the banging party inside, usually synonymous with the rich/famous he saw where he would like to be, heck possibly even recognised rapper kyle from his music as the pizza man hopes to make it as a rapper hence his pull back but nothing deep or resonating with him hence he was able to just dismiss and move on. Rapper Kyle on the other hand could not as it brought back to the forefront the core of his being/ the essence of he really was that had been corrupted and buried by his newfound fame. Kyle missed his old life and more importantly and more so his old SELF. Hence the tears, he is not pleased with the man he has become, he has changed for the worse. The pizza man does not actually look like Kyle, it is not an alternate reality. He didnt dismiss her because she was smoking, they "made up" after, he dismissed her because she represented aspects of his new life that werent part of the principles he believed in that were shaken up when the pizza man stopped by.
Mr Prodigy i thought that too. it could also be Kyle reminissing on how he used to be happy when he didn't have all the fame etc. that's just how i viewed it anyway. powerpro2013 cheers man, the explanation was well written and really helpful! people like you who take time out of their day to help other people understand are amazing!

This is coming from someone who was raised on and dearly loves rap/hip hop.....if you miss old school music so much then go ahead and listen to old rap/hip hop.
Whether we like to face it or not the world is evolving, and so is music, along with it rap/hip hop. Instead of sounding eerily like your parents when they say "we had real music back in my day"
Try to embrace the change, or you don't have to.....stick to old school.....but please, STOP with comments about how this isn't real hip hop, cause to compare music from then and now is completely unfair.....and kinda stupid....so yea...
Already been written
try to be original bro, not everyyday take credit for someones words
That copy and paste...
Well man even though the music industry is evolving music is getting way more negative
