The way she smiles the second Ramin starts singing...I FELT that.
I love her acting for Christine. I feel like a lot of actresses don't give her much personality or make her seem a bit airheaded. But Sierra manages to pull off fear but total entrancement at the same time and I think it works for the character
@@seansilence2697 Yeah no doubt she can act this part so well. And Ramin is so good as the Phantom
Sierra and Ramin have a perfect chemistry on stage for Phantom. They've definitely been rehearsing a countless of hours. And seeing they were cast for the roles at the anniversary show at Royal Albert Hall made me so happy!
I absolutely love the RAH anniversary performance, I consider the recording of it to be the official movie version (no one I know speaks of the Gerard Butler version), and I agree they were both perfectly cast! I like Ramin's mix of operatic sounds with more emotional singing, and I can't imagine a better Christine than Sierra.
@@DarthRayj And that final "I love you"...omg...the most beautiful way saying/singing it I've heard.
Sierra had a cold during this performance, which just makes it even more impressive to me. That's also why she pronounces things a certain way and inhales sharply here. The Royal Albert Hall performance is her when she isn't sick (again as Christine), and has Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom again.
Ironically she sings better here IMO
I feel like when actors have a cold they need to go on unless they have a fever, sore throat, or an injury. My friend has been on with a head cold, another with a wrist injury (good thing she didn’t need to do anything with it). I think if you have a sore throat you have a danger of ruining your voice, and with a head cold you can ruin your movements, actors usually need to unless it’s serious, and she can sound like this, is amazing. I know very few people who can do this
No she always pronounces calls to me and dreams like that..watch literally any other video..
Though she might have a cold in this one..I don't know..there was one performance where she had a cold..I don't remember which..which exactly shows how good a singer she is..
But sorry 😅 her pronunciation has always been like this..I sorta like it
In the beginning it definitely sounds like the sound is completely taken out of her nose, especially at "my name"
but it still sounds awesome.
Ramin’s voice is insane, always gets me.
Love Sierra and Ramin! I believe this is the performance where Sierra was either sick or just getting over an illness, which makes it even more impressive.
She was sick
Ramin and Sierra are the best for these roles
Beth, the Phantom in this video is Ramin Karimloo...look up his portrayal of Valjean, Enjolras...also his version of Music of the Night is amazing.
Mark Aronson I think she’s aware to be fair
If you haven't watched the 25th anniversary live taping, DO IT! It's so amazing! The day after I saw it, I went and bought it. I also bought the cd recording lol
Also, could you react to any of Avi Kaplan's new stuff? He's so beautiful!
Possibly the best full version of PotO ever recorded! I basically consider it the official version lol
Yes Ramin did an AMAZING version of the phantom 🥰🥰🥰
Ramin Karimloo is a dynamo on Broadway! The Iranian Canadian that is taking over everything! I saw him in Toronto as Jean ValJean in Les Miserables on opening night and was blown away! Also his final "Christine, I love you" in Phantom breaks my heart EVERY SINGLE TIME.
The buildup, the excitement, the music always give me goosebumps. I just love these two!
Phantom Of the Opera is my favorite musical, it came to a Brazilian production last year, in São Paulo, and it was Amazing. Here our Christine was Lina Mendes and our Phantom, Thiago Arancam, both Brazilian opera singers who srudied in Milan! But My favorite Christine is brazilian as well, her name is Giulia Nadruz.
I really love Sierra Bogges, i met the Phantom watching this version and Ramin is unique, nobody is like him!!! Great react, you're wonderful
Lucas Fernandes Fomos assistir quatro vezes 🥰
Giulia Nadruz is fantastic!
Finally!!!! I remember i suggested this duet many months ago, and now you finally done it. This is beautiful duet, so full of emotions, colors,,atmospheric and theatrical. Thank you very much.
Ramin's voice is LIFE

Best phantom ever Ramin is phenomenal sierra is just fantastic too they are the best would love to have seen them do the show live
I Fell in love with Sierra and Ramin when this was happening! Love the revisit!❤
Ramin is the best phantom ever.
Best phantom duo ever
Finally! I've been waiting for you to react to Sierra!😍
6:07 I love how the caress across her chest is also played as musical threatre. The phantom is afraid of touching her (his angel of music), but cant resist. You can actually see Ramin's hand shaking. Then after the initial movement, he moves his hand back across her chest with more confidence and touch. Literal character arc in 10 seconds. Amazing acting
And you can see from Beth's sub-conscious smile that she's imagining being caressed just like that
Since you did a title song react, I'd love to watch a Music of The Night reaction too.
Please? Do it for us!!!!
Love this. Saw it in San Francisco at a beautiful opera house. Magical!
Sierra and Ramin are my favorite Christine and Phantom pairing... but this particular performance irritates me so much because the echo is sooooo huge and it sounds like the singers are just behind the beat because of it. It just bothers me to no end. But these two are amazing. Ramin is the BEST Phantom.
Ramin is so good, what a powerful voice
Beneath a moonless sky from Love never dies pls
With this same duo
Oh my God pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee
We don't talk about love never dies
@@b.d6642 pls the story itself sucked but the songs are bops
Sierra was actually sick during the performance. Her breaths arent usually loud like that
Sierra e Ramin sao os melhores intérpretes de Christine e Phantom. Cantam com mto sentimento e vozes perfeitas. 👏👏
Please react to "Freddy Mercury & Montserrat - The Golden boy'' ... that's Rock, opera & gospel all at once at top level! Right into your alley!
Sierra used to play Miss Rosalie Mullins at School of Rock! She was AMAZING there as well.
Nice song, i love this song and im enjoying it on my thirtysixth birthday
Hi Beth, i have been trying to reach you for a long time 👀 Can you make a voice analysis of Şebnem Ferah? She is Queen Of Turkish Rock and She has nearly 4 octaves vocal range. Can you look at her Delgeç performance in 2007 Bostancı Live Concert.
Would love to see you react to Benjamin Clementine sometime! The guy is such a special singer and completely self-taught
Had the privilege of seeing Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and it was great
“Empty Chairs and Empty Tables”....Michael Ball.....10th anniversary of Les Mis. Please! 😊
and Philip Quast - Stars, and Lea Salonga - On My Own, and Ruthie Henshall - I Dreamed a Dream, and... my god that 10th anniversary show is awesome!
Per Gunsarfs it was the best! My absolute favourite!
Oh my goodness. I love this song.
Bring him home by Alfie Boe from the 25th anniversary, you're welcome
Saw this live back in 96. SO much fun.
Please react to HIM/Ville Valo! Specifically their older live stuff like For You(Intro) I think he has incredible range!
Sierra, reminds me of Mario Lanza. When he sang, you could understand the words to the music he sang to. Same with Sierra! Excellent
Please check out, Floor Jansen & Henk Poort - Phantom Of The Opera | Beste Zangers 2019
You absolutely won't be disappointed.
Beth did not like that version as she explained in another Floor video. I believe it had to do with how she felt Phantom should be done and was not done by Floor/Henk. Maybe Henk's growling put her off or Floor using some pop-techniques? Or maybe she thought Floor did not go high enough at the end?
Actually I would like to see that reaction, but I think Beth does not want to be negative on Floor. I can respect that because of all the negativity she would get.
You’ve just watched how that song should be done. Enough said.
Floor can’t touch Sierra or any other actress who’s played Christine.
Beautiful reaction! Please react yo Sarah Brightman's version. This piece was created originally for her singing patterns. She's fabolous!
It’s actually Ramin that does the fast breath intake. I have noticed it in his other roles
“More pop-py” you’re so cute! I loved watching this 💜
Glad you liked it!!
Absolute favorite Phantom and Christine 😍
Wasn’t sure we were gonna make it through 😅😂
Now react to past the point of no return from 25th anniversary with Sierra and Ramin!!
Hey Beth,
First time among your videos, loving the feedback and song choices!
2 things from me.. 1, great song, wrong version for me.. 25th Albert hall displays the vocals so much better. Any chance of a version on this?
Secondly I've had a look through your videos and can't see a reaction to Marc Martel. He does Queen songs can you please do a reaction to this? You and the viewers will not be disappointed. Start with Bohemian Rhapsody and then Killer Queen second! :)
Good work!
I love the phantom of the opera so much it's amazing ❤❤
If you like this would be great to see some reactions to Anthony Warlow
You should have a look at Robert Smith of The Cure!
Thank you again Beth! Really insightful
I have this movie and I love it so much
Hey Beth :) If you want a quick treat, here's something out of the ordinary "The Hobbit - Misty Mountain //The Danish National Symphony Orchestra (LIVE)"
The hing I like about this performance v. some of the other performances I have heard from UK singers, particularly Sarah Brightman is that they are managing to not slip into the habit of adding the R between the vowel at the end of a word and the beginning of a word in a sentence. In this case, sounding like "The Phantom of the Operar Ris There..." as it goes. I know you have heard it many a time. :)
TI would love to SEE you react to Hadestown «Hey little songbird» with Patrick page
I need to know if other people enjoy singing this song even if they can't make it sound pretty at all because just working up through all those notes and vibrating your face cartillage just feels really great? idk maybe thats weird but I will sit at home when I know my neighbours are out and just do the climb over and over bc it feels so nice
Sierra is a goddess, and Ramin is brilliant too, although my fave phantom is John Owen Jones
Actually Ramin used to be the one breathing that hissing sound between his teeth--Sierra did a sharp inhale through her nose on the other hand, very noticeable. Ramin's now back playing Erik in Italy. Would be interesting to see how his technique has changed over time.
love these. i hope you get around doing diamanda galas, scott walker, benjamin clementine, anna calvi, king krule or show me the body some time in the future
You must do Dolores from The Cranberries! 🖤
Seems like they have lag in their audio feedback because they're all singing behind the beat which is a bit jarring to me. But fantastic vocals otherwise.
I love the energy in your videos and how you explain things!
I would love to see you react to Mamie Parris singing the reprise of Memory in 2016 Cats because I swear I cannot understand how she breathes (or doesn't) through that crescendo, it's amazing.
The best version is the Nightwish
Great react!
I do opera. And this is not opera but more like a musical which it is, this makes way for opera, so if you can sing this song, even in low notes, you can do opera. I might suggest to try to actually do opera, you will know the difference between the two. Edit: that was a year ago, I still listen to this musical performance. I love doing opera, soprano opera. I don't mean to sound harsh but definitely doing opera throat exercises you can tell the difference. I can tell you this, I can do the vocalization from the phatom of the opera song now with more ease. So doing opera does help. Oh by the way, I suggest to watch The Most Happy Fella musical which is also very operatic.
Neither of these two are opera singers. Meghan Picerno, who played Christine both in Love Never Dies and Phantom Broadway is an opera singer, though. Along with Rebecca Caine, who.. honestly is the finest vocalist to ever portray Christine in terms of sheer technique and talent.
@@blissinchains definitely can learn from their singing
@@purplebec9112 It's a crying shame how badly this show treated Rebecca Caine from start to finish. I'm so glad she's enjoyed much deserved success across many another show.
@@blissinchains she deserves so much credit
I would say it kind of a mix of opera and musical. I'm no music expert and I also don't know if you're talking about the whole show but if you are think of me is more on the opera side. But the song phantom of the opera and music of the night definitely has some musical sounds. Phantom of the opera (the song) I would say has a little bit more opera sounds then Music of the night which is directly after the song Phantom of the opera. As I said and will say again IM NO MUSIC EXPERT!!
Hi beth, I really like this video.
I am so sorry for bothering today but I was wondering if you could react to Mr. John Frusciante. He is red hot chili peppers guitarist. You can hear songs like "carvel" or "for emily whenever i may find her", I noticed he sings with a weird but melodic high tone and by watching your videos noticed he have a natural vibrato that is kind of warm. Just wanted to share about him and I really would like to hear a pro criteria about him. Have a nice day 😅.
Devin Townsend Project Stormbending official video
6:44 yeah, because she couldn't catch her breath properly because of running nose. she was so ill back then, I think they both felt a little off with the song there because of her illness
She was sick but it's Ramin who breathes through his teeth. He does it all throughout the RAH 25th anniversary show.
Please do The Drug In Me Is Reimagined by Falling In Reverse sometime soon!!!
You need to react to Nicole scherzinger singing this song.
Have you done Floor's take on this?
Ew
Finally something interesting instead of all the eilishes and dimashes and such.
hmm... What about Mika - Grace Kelly (mabye the sinfonie live version?)
Beth did you visit the paris opera during you bday visit to Paris?
She's no Sarah Brightman, but her version is also en chante
In my opinion Sierra is better then Sarah. Also in this performance sierra had a cold so she pronounced words differently
Since you've already reacted to Nightwish and you love Phantom of the Opera, can you react to Nightwish - Phantom of the Opera from the End of an Era DVD (Marco sings Phantom, their original singer Tarja sings Christine) and then of course Floor Jansen (current Nightwish singer) singing this duet with Henk Poort (the original Dutch Phantom singer/performer) on Beste Zangers? I think it would be interesting comparison-wise and really enjoyable for you as well. :)
BTW I love Sierra and Ramin together in this, I've only recently watched the 25th anniversary Royal Albert Hall show and loved it, thank you for this video!
I think Beth has noted that she's not a fan of the rock covers. I far prefer Rierra to Floor, personally. No hate, just... you need to reach that note, and she can't. Tarja sounds great, though. I just don't much like the rock arrangement behind her, either. It'd be interesting to hear her sing it opposite a tenor or baritone who's played Erik professionally, like Ramin or JOJ.
@@blissinchains Well, the point of a good cover is to give a song your own twist, not to imitate someone else singing it, even if it's Sierra. And if someone decides to sing the last bit a note lower to have a fuller sound, I don't mind that at all. My personal preference. I always like to hear a different version that brings a new vibe and different emotions to me rather than compare who sang the last note best/could or couldn't reach it.
Can you do a performance from Zero Mostel doing If I Were A Rich Man from Fiddler On The Roof. I feel he has a different delivery then other performers of it and hes the original Tevye
So?.. how can I say it without being a creep? That you are my angel of music ?
React to babymetal headbanger live PLEASE!!
Please listen to code orange-sulphur surrounding
Could you answer why they breath the way they do? Why do they shhhhhhhhh into the mic every time they breath
In terms of musical theatre, aside from Les Miserables, this is the most singlemost demanding score on the voice out there. It takes a lot of air to do what's demanded of these actors.
maybe you should react to the German band "AnnenMayKantereit". the lead singer has probably one of the most unique voices in the music industry
Oo oo Hooverphonic Mad About You 🤗
Wonder what she’d make of Beth Gibbons
Hi makes more videos reacting that girl Daneliya Tuleshova singing Rihanna's song love on the brain ❤❤
Please react to filipino singer katrina velarde cover singing " whenever you call ". Thanks
That is a lovely accent where's it from Beth 🦁
She’s my favorite but even she’s not perfect. I noticed on different video, she lengthens her neck to hit certain high notes. She’s got my favorite soprano voice tho.
May I ask? Have you ever had any premolar teeth extracted and/or retractive orthodontic treatment? I notice you look somewhat limited in dropping your jaw. I only ask because I did, and it has narrowed my tongue space and given me problems with both breathing and my TMJ. When I started learning about vocal technique and anatomy, mouth function and occlusion is so important to not only singing, but our overall health.
Can u react to the Spanish version by Carlos Marin and Innocence?
Hi coach Beth pls react to:
Marcelito Pomoy sings Heal The Worid by M.j. on marcelito pomoy channel &
Gary Valenciano sing Take Me Out of the Dark. Live & Raw.
live wire-motley crue
Have you not reacted to Floor Jansen and Henk Poorts version of Phantom from Beste Zangers? If not, do so, it's a good one 😀
Chris Innes No one cares.
@@blissinchains Right
👍👍
Any song by Johnny Cash
React B'z love Phantom Live gym 95 😁😁😁😁😁
Was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber as a wedding gift for his wife
You looks like Amira Willighagen... are you her sister?
Sierra tends to nose breathe a lot. That said, I believe she had a cold when this was performed.
She did have a cold in this!!
Please reaction new single isyana sarasvati - unlock the key..
I’m playing Christine in the phantom of the opera concert at my new house on Saturday 2 of September
