Got a catering order tonight for a high end restaurant (right after I dropped off a shop/pay)... it said "$24.95 for 5.3 miles - catering order". At the end at drop off... it changed (had the strike thru /real tip)... total was actually $33.00 for 5.3 miles... and I was at 9% AR. 😂❤
I agree. Started in October, got to platinum and dropped to 51% with all those low ball offers.... struggled to dash at 51%...... Very slight increase in better offers once back to Platinum, my area is an oversaturated area for sure! I hope the overall ratings platform takes over soon!
I made a "Short" about this a lil over a week ago, I get orders tagged with catering probably AT LEAST once a week, at the end of the day the app will choose the person most likely to take the order. SO, "Pick up the order, drop it off " 😋
My problem is keeping Platinum because of "100 deliveries in last 30 days". For me this is a part time gig. If I wanted a 40 hour work week, I would get that type job. I have done 7589 deliveries in 5 years, guess that does not matter!
With the new rating system you don’t have to do 100 deliveries for platinum anymore. But then again everybody and their grandmother will be platinum once it finally rolls out.
Does anyone know how to show the breakdown of the payout per order. When I click "complete order" it just shows the total amount made. But when he clicks "complete order" it shows how much doordash pays, the peak pay, and the tip separately
Here's my question how do you tell the difference between a shop and deliver order and one where the store has already got the things together and will be waiting for you
couple things, Platinum is just priority, buddies who usually are platinum still see them when they drop below platinum its just less frequent. other thing is they DO NOT ask for pictures of bags anymore. I don't think you need it at all which is weird, but you can call support and ask to verify with them you have a catering bag, they should send email, email them the picture, but that was like a year ago i don't know if they even do this anymore. might be worth a try if you don't hate talking to support too much. I'd just hangout near Belle Milanos more if i was you, or whereever else you see a group of restaurants that drops them
You gotta be lucky and be in the right place at the right time to get a large order meaning $100 subtotal on the order and it's that simple! I got a large order when I was 48% so it's possible but don't expect it to happen very often because it won't!
i wish i can share my screenshots of all the catering orders i've got while hanging around 25% AR. i've talked to a few dashers in my area, they all claim they are plat, and they've never seen a catering order. It's simple statistics man. if your plat, or even doing EBT, and your delivering 2-6 dollar orders your creating a customer base of no tippers. do you really think these no tippers are not going to cheap out and order a catering order? no... if you pick a customer base that generous, you will be adding them to your statistics. you will be prioritize to deliver for them and they will continue to tip you generously. stop entertaining these clown customers that don't tip.
also if you see that door dash is having a promo. minus that promo amount from the total and ask your self would i took this order if there wasn't a promo. same goes with stacked orders would you take these orders if doordash didn't mixed it up for you.
I get those with less than 10%. Ive been screwed by them too. The fact is in most situations proximity is more important than dasher status. The game is fake....stop believing it and it loses all its power
This is why I love this channel. DT doesn't sugar coat anything and keeps it real. 💯

That's crazy
Well DT u know me I wholeheartedly agree. None of them so called platinum perks are worth it to try to appease dd.
In my area, if you dont have platinum, youll be sitting with crickets A LOT. of course, my area is way oversaturated.
THIS has been my experience
Did you actually put the order in the catering bag when you arrived at the customer's house? It sure sounded like that with all the zipping going on.

The offer will have the word “Retail” meaning that the order is ready for pickup
