- Enjoy this gentle chair pilates routine for the lower body. Improve posture, strengthen your lower back, core, glutes, thighs and calf muscles, stretch your legs, mobilise your hips and ankles and improve your posture. All done with focus and attention to detail to ensure you get the best out of this session. I recommend you do this session two times a week to build strength and increase flexibility in the back, hips and ankles. All of which will leave you feeling stronger in your legs and with less tension in the hips and lower back.

Wonderful! I have severe osteoarthritis in my knees. I need to strengthen my thighs, hips to help reduce the load on my knees. I would greatly appreciate more of these seated exercises to do just that. Thank you so very much!

I'm 37 and I did this workout sitting on the side of my bed on a day when my lower back was feeling twingey from a day of weeding. It was lovely to get the lower back and core muscles engaged and gently stretched!
Just the right length of class and very good feeling except can't do the one where you put your ankle on your your other knee. I will do this one often. Thank you so much, Rachel.
Rachael I love all your videos particularly as there are so many to choose from I can pick a different one every day and don’t get bored of exercising. As someone mentioned in your live programme last week I choose by the outfit you have on! As you said these exercises don’t make you hurt just feel wonderful in yourself and really help with Arthritis pain. Sandra
Even though I do your senior and intermediate, this is a good short workout. No excuses next time I am stuck in a waiting room.

Thank You, the chair exercise was needed, I have been having a few issues with getting on the floor. I have not given up on floor exercises, I am an advanced senior and it takes a little more effort.

Yes it strecthed my back at the side of my right hip.

6 weeks post prolapse repairs & hysterectomy. This is a gradual return to core and pelvic floor strengthening.

I’ve had both knees replaced since September 2019.
These exercises reminded me that I need to get moving again! The knees have gotten stiff!
