  • AEMC PowerPad III Alarm Hysteresis
In this brief video, we examine the concept of hysteresis and how it applies when configuring alarms on AEMC PowerPad III instruments. These instruments also allow you to create alarms to capture measurements that fall outside user-defined thresholds.
Alarm configuration includes setting a parameter known as hysteresis. This prevents multiple alarms being recorded each time the measurement fluctuates slightly above and below the triggering threshold. By adjusting hysteresis, users can control the sensitivity of the alarm trigger.
