I have been using an older version from over 2 years ago, with 3 Type A ports output, a Type C power input, and a HDMI 2.0 output. Still alive and kicking.

Why you didn’t show how off screen button works? You’ve explained it, but didn’t show on the video. That’s very a killer feature for teachers during presentations

Hi, did I get that right, that you can simply plug this single USB-C cable into a MacBook and connect the adapter to two displays via HDMI, LAN and power cable? That would be perfect for my daily switch between office and home office. If I only have to plug a single cable into the laptop. 🙂

These docks do not need an external power supply, you plug em in to USB c and all ports are active. If you want to charge the laptop through this dock, just plug in a USB c cable and you are good. I have not tried it with a MacBook so I am not entirely sure, but I read on a seller page that this could not "Expand" the display on macOS, so external displays would be mirrored. I have used em with Windows OS though and I can get extended display on all external monitors. So, total 3 different screens including my laptop display. I had used a similar USB C dock with 2 HDMI, 1 DP and I got total 4 extended (different) screens including my laptop.

      @@saadraaz Thanks for your reply.
Meanwhile I tested this dock. And you're absolutely right. Sadly, the one thing I really wished to be working is the display situation. It seems to be a macOS limitation that you can not extend multiple displays via a single USB-C port. I wanted to have the cleanest possible setup with only one cable to plugin the MacBook. But that's not possible with this adapter. I need to buy an adapter with a dual USB-C connector to get it the way I want it.

@fredfies hi, finally, which solution did you find to connect 2 displays at the same time? I have the MacBook air m3 2024

@@andresfelipeachury3285 There seems to be no way to get more than one external display to work when plugged into a single USB C port on the MacBook. At home I ended up with a Baseus dongle similar to the ones in this video. With the second port I use a cable with power delivery connected to the second external display.
In my office I am using a dongle with a dual split cable. I don't know how to describe properly. There is one cable on the dongle but it end into dual USB-C ports. This dongle is capable of serving to displays and even offering power delivery. That's the cleanest way I found. At German Amazon you can find one if you look for "MOKiN 12 in 2 Thunderbolt 3 USB C Adapter für MacBook Pro"

Could it be used to backup hotos from SD cards to SSD disk without PC, by plugging it into Android phone (i.e. backup while travelling)?

I tried it with my Galaxy s22 Ultra and I was able to access the SD card port, 2 externals SSDs and was able to transfer the data. At the same time, I was using a wireless keyboard and mouse with unifying Bluetooth adapter. An external monitor was also connected to the dock. All these devices connected to the dock and dock connected to phone with USB port (was using Dex), Worked like a charm. You may have to format the disks to android compatible file format, NTFS does not work. I have also tried plugging in only an SD card, an external SSD without any external monitors and file transfer worked perfectly.
