@@2stroketyson79 lol YES, I mean you don’t have to play to a crowd that’s not there. But Ryan Williams little outbursts of hype in the bmx best truck events definitely helped it be way more of an entertaining watch

I don't know whose idea it was to run these events in the middle of nowhere, but they should be fired because these guys feed off of a good crowd
Not the x games we once knew… I was the only person in my family that was into moto x, but when the x games rolled around the whole family would sit around and love the energy that the staples center crowds would bring. Now I’m sitting in my room watching a boring competition on my phone with no energy and no passion for the sport from the riders… sad stuff

No audience members no cheering no excitement and the annoying drone flying around the commentating sucked this was probably the worst X Games video I've ever seen even the track sucked
I was on vacation with my friends family back in 2006. Totally normal family except their son and I were both skaters. When Moto best trick came on. The whole vacation stopped so we could watch Travis Pastrana land the first double back flip. Those were the days.
the reason that this sport is dead is just because it's just a case of "who can spin the most?". There is no personality, no rivalry, no progression.
And i'm not talking about progression in terms of tricks because I know the dangers of this sport and I know how close they are to dying each time they take a jump; I'm talking about different kinds of progression, the kind that got us involve in the first place all those years ago. The mystic of the riders, rivalries (Who can forget Brian Deegan and Travis Pastrana or Nate Adams and Travis Pastrana), real competition, innovation, etc...
Today all I see is riders not taking the second run who are in second place, like Josh Sheehan. They are all friendly to each other, they do not seem to care if they win or lose. Am I watching a competition???? Or just a group of friends riding around???
Saddly Moto X is not fun anymore! The only thing I ask the riders is to get us involved again! Make it a real competition because we fans will come back for that! Because as it stands right now, you really are better of riding in the desert by yourselfes.

100% man, used to be advertised for weeks, fans could walk the pits in person meet people, a medal actually ment something. Every summer all these great athletes would travel to one spot to compete. Actual rivalries and risk were present....now its a traveling show no different than Nitro Circus tour.
Pro’s saving it for Nitro world games.

@@jasontaylor4799 there not air bag landings. Do ur research. One guy permanently paralyzed from landing. But the landing does have a small layer of foam. Nitro world games took over the x games. Last year postponed from Covid

I think back when my buddies and I were hitting dirtpiles on our BMX bikes we had more people watching on the sidelines than these guys who are risking their lives with every jump....and it was just my grandma and neighbor spectating

I miss the Pastrana and Twitch years. It was always something new & exciting to watch, but now it’s so boring. Every year is the same. Frontflip, and some double back variation. Laaaame
Agreed they just keep doing the same tricks that the OG’s like pastrana and them created with a small variation and calling it a new trick
Man they need to bring back the excitement for these kind of events. No fans, boring commentating, same ramps, same tricks... zzzzz.. Nitro world games does it better
The tricks have got harder an becoming more difficult to pull off. From back in the day you would be mad to even attempt this on a motorbike. Crazy 😜 tricks.

Moto X Best Trick used to be one of the most exciting events of X Games and now it’s one of the worst. So boring.
Nitro world games took over the x-games. Real pro’s saving the big tricks for Nitro World Games.
Last year got canceled due to covid. But back open in October
I couldn't even finish watching. Commentators need to be fired up and keep us fired up...most of the time they sound like they're callin out numbers at senior bingo. Meanwhile buddy on the bike is changing a spark plug hanging upside down mid way through a double back flip.
Commentator: "Meh, the double back was solid but he could have at least gapped the plug."....lol 😂

I wonder if anyone is going to ever figure out the TP Roll and send it. Missing the innovation Pastrana brought to X Games. Very rarely do we see new tricks. Everyone is doing the same stunts for the past half decade at best with the exception of 1 or two guys now and then.
Maybe next year X Games should try some new setups like nitro does. Bigger ramps and a safer landing so the guys can push themselves harder and minimize the risk. This sport is getting stale at this point. Something is going to have to change.

Try it with 9+.
Bruh what happened to FMX. 6 people on the board so everyone but 3 people gets a medal, plus the format feels really strange..

I don't follow this stuff, I'm relatively new. But as far as the first tricks, why did Adelberg's trick do so much better than Vanstippen's? Vanstippen's looked a lot more difficult, and it felt like a cleaner landing.
I may be crazy but how does the best trick winner win with just a front flip? thought some of the backflips were a little more technical
Front flips are harder and more dangerous to pull off.
When doing a front flip, you are going completely against the original momentum of the bike. It's a whole lot easier to pull up on the handles than down. It's also much harder to guadge where you are in the air due to the first wheel that hits the ground is (hopefully) the back one, when you're still looking at sky.
But idk, i just like watching dirt bikes go weeeee
"monster Girls" concept is ridiculous! 2023 felas, don't want to see that kind of things on such a competition.

Please replace the Australian guy/commentator who underplays rider’s amazing performances.
How did Taka's first run get such a high score? Both tricks following his run were way more difficult and scored lower than his. A perfect double backflip with any variation should always beat a single with a basic variation.
My only answer to that is... Maybe preference for being a Monster Energy Athlete, i believe Monster Energy is big Xgames Sponsor, plus Luke is Red Bull rider so i guess....
Because it was a sick trick, letting go of the bike completely while you're upside down and it's above you is absolutely gnarly. Didn't see anyone else try it did you? Compared to a double backflip with a tiny leg shuffle it just looks better and scarier. Variations count for more than you understand, I think.
Well, he lost while doing that trick to other tricks that I mentioned, so... I didn't say his trick wasn't sick either. He's been one of my favorite dudes for over 10 years. That trick has been around longer than the double backflip, and for good reason. It's not as difficult. Most guys can do the trick Taka did. Most guys can't do a double. The variation with a single does matter, but it doesn't elevate it past a perfect double. Regardless of the messed up variation.
Taka’s trick is more complex. He is only one out about 3 people in the world to do that trick.

Only bad part about this event is its PRIVATE so it kinda makes the riders look real stupid when the play to the crowd & there is NO CROWD!

I know Taka has said he doesn't want to learn double backs, but if he did he would be unstoppable.
He did learn double backflips and did one at the x games Australia event a few years ago, just doesn’t feel like taking the risk of doing it anymore

Because it's harder to do?

X games motocross has not evolved since 2016. Same tricks but kids working them out on technology to better perform tricks. Momentum is gone. They are great but repeating innovation

X Games is DEAD; hasn't been good since the late 90's/early 00's. Red bull X-Fighters is 10x better/more exciting.

The umbrella/trophy girls is a pretty embarrassing part of motocross. As if flipping dirt bikes in the air is not "masculine" enough for you we also have women in swimwear to hold a umbrella 😂
