- Kansas Pacific (1951) - Full Length Classic Western Movie
In the days preceding the Civil War, Southerners try to sabotage the building of a railroad. Sterling Hayden stars. Watch full length westerns free online at www.westernmani.... Western Mania is also available on Roku and Apple TV.
I see a lot of negative comments about detail of this movie. In 1951 the budgets for the hundreds of westerns wanted by the general public were minuscule. They pooped out western after western using same sets , locations , etc. ..... why ? ..... budget constraints ..I love these old " B " westerns and always liked Sterling Hayden as a Lead. A good story and preamble to the start of the Civil War. Thank you , Western Mania , for posting this very good western !
The point about budget restraints, among other nefarious taints of the 1950s, also applies to many of the horror and noir genre films that proliferated as costs came down when the prices of the tools used by the majors became affordable. The same goes for musical instruments and recording tech which allowed for mutant mixes like that devil's noise, rock and roll. And hip-hop and punk.
@@billsadler3 I was ready to agree until you said " devil's noise " on rock and roll. I would hazard a guess that you must be from the Deep South. I love rock and roll.
What passes for education now.. full stop.
Common Sense isn't so common.😊
B movie or not, I thought it was fine. Great wholesome entertainment, thanks we need more like it.
Correct, the Public enjoyed Movies for entertainment, nearly every town with 3,000+ people had Movie Theatres. There was no TV yet, Radio Shows and Movies.
... and Corporations haven't changed, (other than what they were forced to do.)
The focus is and always will be "Profits and Profit Margin".
⭐ (They did and will write budgets below the expected performances.)
Reuse of "Sets and Props" is most understandable, using guns that weren't accurate to a particular year is reasonable, they are Movies, ie: fiction, not Documentaries.
The areas that deserved larger budgets were the: Writers, Strangers and Composers of Music, Production Staff, and various Actors. Wage increases in those positions factored to costs to the Profit Margin, and the Owners were/are unbelievably greedy.
Thus the Screen Actors Guild aka SAG, and other Unions, necessary to get reasonable hours and pay.
People who aren't familiar with the era can assume, accuse, and be as judgemental as they want to be, their Lower Mind is just that and they are so accustomed to their learned attitudes and chronic complaining that it will just take time for them to discover: Adult is merely Physical Age, but the Mind requires Maturing through choices and practice.
They can read a book, listen to a worthy speaker, or stay where they are in their negative thoughts and expectations ...
The point is, the "Universal Law of Attraction" is Absolute. We all are creating our own reality.
The desires are received through Positive Energies and Frequencies.
Until they trip over the facts ...
In the meantime, just got to wish them well.
A WESTERN AND 1951.....ALL I NEED TO KNOW TO SAY IT IS GOOD!!!
1953's production and NOT 1951
I enjoyed the movie....great acting and good scenery....thanks for the upload.
Great movies I love them all
In the days preceding the civil war, southerners try to sabotage the building of a railroad. Sterling Hayden stars as a federal officer sent from Washington to pose as a construction engineer to see that the railroad must go as scheduled! There are some battles and killings that threaten the safety of the people building it0-finally there is a resolution to the trouble and the railroad goes on at the end of the flick! Sterling Hayden was a good actor in other movies like suddenly and Dr Strangelove but he was erratic in his behavior and that may have cost him some roles-he shines in the film 🎥 good western to watch! 😊😊😊😊😊😊
This is the first download of this video that the audio and video stayed in sync through the whole video.
Great movie! Thanks a lot! Made my day!
No one ever seems to mention the music score by Albert Sendry, but it is a fine one nontheless.
In the 'with list', note the names, Reed Hadley, Myron Healey, and Clayton Moore. Hadley, with his memorable deep voice, narrated various documentaries and movies. Healey was in hundreds of movies and TV appearances. Moore was the TV's 'Lone Ranger'.
Love the wagon wheel against a tree. Bottom-right side. Will watch and comment later. Dave
Thankyou so much for good movie 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Just watch the movie and enjoy or get out no body cares about your complaints it's a good movie 🍿

Very good movie
Very. Good. One. 🎉🎉🎉🎉👌👍💢💥💫
👋 🤠 👌 🐴 👌
Clayton Moore! The only reason I watched.
I saw Clayton Moore's name listed further down in the 'cast' credits. But I couldn't make out which character he was, or who's 'side' his character was on. Was his character for the Union, or the Confederacy?
Excelente gran pelicula gracias, saludos desde Venezuela 30-10-19.
between 1860 and 1869. The Spencer repeating rifle was adopted by the Union Army, especially by the cavalry, during the American Civil War but did not replace the standard issue muzzle-loading rifled muskets in use at the time. Among the early users was George Armstrong Custer.
UMA OTIMA HISTORIA SOBRE A FERROVIA JA COM INTENÇOES PARA A GUERRA CIVEL AMERICANA MUTO BEM FEITO MUITO BOM O LONGA
loove this movie
That was very good!
if you go to Victoria Kansas out on the west edge of town past the bridge that crosses over the North Fork of Big Creek you'll find a grave site where 9 men who were building the Kansas Pacific railroad were killed by Indians in 1868 as the rail was being pushed through at the time.
Good
Born in 1951. The Southerners - Confederates - were determined to destroy this Great Country and not all Southerners were "Disloyal" to the Jacksonian Democratic Ideals of the Constitution. They were not "Separatists" and/or Traitors against the Constitution. One of the deciding factors that contributed to the eventual US Federal Government's success in the War was the completion of Continental Railroad. Turning out to be a decent flick. Thanks.
FIGHT WITH FISTS NOT GUNS AND LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY!
Love the Fist Fight. Kept me watching.
I’m real proud of the workers who stood up to the Rebels.
Read a really good book on how there was a Civil War within the Civil War Separatist from Deep South State of Alabama. Loyalist from the North were formed into the First Alabama Cavalry, U.S.A. Silent Cavalry by Howell Raines - 2023. Alabama born - Hill country - Winston. A little redundant on documenting how the "Just Cause" ideology would alter not only their state history but influenced influential historians in Cornell University to teach their justification for being traitors against the Constitution of the United States. This led to the KKK and Jim Crow Laws for continued Racism and Bigotry in the USA for over 100 years after the end of the Civil War. Not bad for the side that allegedly Lost the War. Book is tedious but authentic in its presentation.
Never touch's that coffee at 28:21
They were lucky when they get two cameras to work with
If the Kansas Pacific is a military project, THEN the Army should send troops to protect the train and right of way. WTF !!!
Is this reminiscence on what is going on today?

Time travel in the 1860s; That's a 1940s era loco pulling that train...
Nobody cares, just watch the movie.
@@claudemaassen2963 some do; it’s called a “meme.” And back at you.
What is this? One kiss at the end?
No Sex? 😮🧐 Oh, I forget, this was filmed in 1951!😂😊 Thoroughly enjoyable! 👍😎

Păi scuzați, dar dacă sînt traduse unde e traducerea ??
De ce sînt traduse in 100 de limbi și doar româna lipseste???
What today's folks don't realize is that back in 1860 the Kansas prairie looked much like the Sierras in California. Then the sodbusters came along and leveled the whole state. Twas good plantin' soil after that.
Really? I didn't know that praries had mountains. 😄
Goof: The establishing shot of the U.S. Capitol building dome showed early in the movie was, in fact, completely under construction between 1855 and 1866; it was covered in scaffolding during tthe time of "Bleeding Kansas".

Not a bad little movie. Too bad they had to throw a hokey romance into it, but otherwise, not too bad. It was good to see Myron Healey again too.
yeah they've ruined a bunch of good movies by throwing in the 'love interest' one big one that comes to mind is 'Heat' with DiNero and Pacino that fouled up a good flick.
But conventional wisdom is ya gotta have 'em so the ladies'll come and not get bored....
Romance is nice. It’s how you got here.
@@therusfosterson238 Maybe he's a product of rape?
I already watched this.
Thanks for letting us know.
NOTICE THE CAPITOL IS COMPLETE! NOT SO IN THE TIME PERIOD OF THIS STORY!
I saw that as well.
Time Travel was tooo expencive for the film company.
And models are mot all that convincing
Dynamite wasn't invited until 1867 and Winchester rifles after that.
The Union army used the Henry rifle 1860 during the civil war.
Confederates called the Henry "that damned Yankee rifle that they load on Sunday and shoot all week!
The union used the Henry rifle during the CW.
First Model of the Winchester repeating rifle was in service in 1866. Cal 44 Henry
Nitro was used for construction demolition. Surprised the writers and editors did not pick up on this.
It's still a decent movie though. I love the 1950's westerns that were filmed in this era.

RUclips的自動翻譯大部分是簡體中文,繁體中文翻譯正在減少中。
很多影片都只有翻譯簡體中文。選翻譯繁體中文,沒有,只有一片空白。
Is Taiwan’s Google RUclips already manufactured by a Chinese manufacturer?

Most of RUclips's automatic translations are in Simplified Chinese, and the number of Traditional Chinese translations is decreasing.
Many videos are only translated into Simplified Chinese. When I choose to translate Traditional Chinese, there is nothing, just a blank.

Kansas does not border on the Pacific but, maybe after the earthquake, it will.

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, [even] to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Just like the Bible says in the last days that knowledge shall increase. And look how many times it's increased since we just got the railways.

the reason why winfield scott was not not appointed to lead the north, was, he was too fat to board a horse, yet this scott is average...hmmmm
The landscape shown around 7:45 does not look like any parts of Kansas I've seen
lcar4000 It's even worse at the 1 hour mark.
Funny. It's still a good movie, enjoyable and all.
Kansas is a big place. Get out and explore. You might enjoy it.
Boring as a old fraze 4 movie cheaply made
Good ol Katy railway....😮😊
Beautiful movie, beautiful story, thank you for sharing this wonderful movie…..how I love the old westerns, NO CGI or AI whacky stuff in them, including NO sexual overtones and lewd language in them….just pure entertainment enjoyment, good actors/actresses, etc., something lacking much in the quality of today’s films and society. It’s more about profit, and not enough about the quality in them. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🎬🎥🤔
Good movie.
