The rifle arrived today and I dialed in the scope just a couple hours ago ruclips.net/user/postUgkxQt2uORDRfFOVSrO4idv4B90ThT6EOnEL . I haven’t shot with a scope in probably 25 years. The X on the left was my target. (the shot almost in the bullseye on the right X was my father in laws first shot after I made adjustments) The two shots circled are my first 2 shots. Then I brought it down - shot once. Then brought it over to the left. From there zeroed it in to dead center. This all was from 25 yards out. Follow instructions carefully when mounting the scope. So far I'm very happy with the purchase.
I bought an original 45 (diana) in 1982 in.177 and it was bang on 12ft lbs and incredible accuracy but for some reason the hw80 stole the show. I still have my 45 and it is as good as anything today. This k98 reminds me of an airsporter stutzen and as i know first hand the quality of diana i will not miss this opportunity to buy one of these for use and a future investment.
I have full power U.S. versions of the Diana Mauser K98 in both calibers. The rifles are heavy and well made but do have a weakness. A pin in the cocking mechanism has broken in both rifles. My Diana 430 underlever with the same cocking mechanism suffered the same failure. All three rifles were repaired under warranty by UmarexUSA.
It's a beautiful rifle very impressive I am looking into the .22 version. I own a 1960's Diana but it's beat up I got it used for 80 bucks. the sights are busted and someone carved in grooves for a rail but looks like a hack job. What I have learned from that beat up old rifle is that Diana makes impressive airguns and the quality is excellent.
I Love this Rifle..It Shoots well and certainly packs a punch But the Spring needed Dampening down to reduce 'Twang 'and the 'Iron Sights ' could be made out of Metal rather than plastic for such a quality Rifle!
Interesting Video cheers I have got this Rifle in .22 and the Spring it has in it when I got it was terrible and below the standard of the rest of the Rifle which is excellent and definitely great fun to shoot with just the open Iron Sights!.The locking mechanism for the cocking lever needs some looking at though as its not overly secure and can come loose if knocked
First let me say that this is clearly a well made, beautiful rifle. I really don't mean to sound "nit picky", but I just can't understand why the company Diana chose not incorporate a bolt into this rifle being it's supposed to be a military replica of the k98. The bolt could have even been strictly cosmetic without any function. I guess with all the internals it just couldn't be engineered into the gun I'm guessing. Believe me, if this had a some type of bolt, I would have purchased this already. I'm just just a bit disappointed that this rifle couldn't remain faithful to the original design. In my humble opinion, you can't call this a K98 replica when it doesn't have some type of bolt action. Yeah..and after all my ramblings, I'll more than likely purchase it anyway.
Why do I get the feeling this guy has someone tied up and gagged that he's shooting at? :) Anyway..as predicted, I did make the purchase and it was indeed money well spent. Just a beautiful, and splendid rifle. I purchased the 22. cal version being I didn't own one as of yet. I'm not going to offer up an opinion on the accuracy of this rifle as of yet because I haven't really put through it's paces. but I will say it isn't accurate out of the box, and mine did need some tweaking, which I'm still trying to get right.. but this is my first quality air rifle purchase and i'm just loving this rifle.
I will stand corrected...whilst i got a leaflet with my 98, the reference was for the N_TEC gas-ram made for certain break barrel models. I will have to make do with a good old spring.
if only Diana had put a rotary magazine to chamber the pallets with a bolt on the side then the imitation wouldve been complete. there are some springers that come with a magazine so this wouldve been great.
I've been trying to get this Diana Mauser 98 in .22 via my RFD and he cannot get hold of one from Edgar Brothers for love nor money. Who distributes for Diana in the UK now? Please?
Without the bolt action it becomes a fairly generic looking wooden stock semi-automatic rifle. The bolt assembly is one of the key features which makes a Mauser a Mauser, and not a Springfield or Lee Enfield.
Hello, I bought a Dina k98 (.22) i finaly shot it last week but, it shoots to the left up to 15 cm ! (+-30 meter distance) Is this "normal" ??? #Diana quality :/
a very detailed review but the reviewers delivery has about as much personality as an 80's dot matrix printer. His totally flat and mono tone presentation would be better suited as some sought of sedative rather than a purchase inspiring video. YAWN!!!!
I had mine stripped, cleaned and lubed within a week of purchase !!! I don't see how doing this would effect the guarantee. Mods yes, lube - no. Use a light even coat of 'suitable' non - dieseling grease such as Abbey Moly. Apply with a 1/4 inch brush to access the inside of the coils. Then add a coat to the white spring guide. Another tip - Remove the transfer port seal, there's a small washer with a 2mm hole underneath. This will be to deduce the size from the optimum 3mm to restrict the air flow. Remove the washer and replace the seal. I chrono'd my rifle at 9.8 ft lbs from the box, it's now running 11 ft lbs with JSB Exact 15.9 gn pellets. Note, US and other full power export models probably don't have this washer.

Gorgeous rifle! I just ordered a 48, now I wish I ordered this! Great video!
Truly, when you’ve got such a nice rifle like that, keep it original! Truglo is allowed, only just 😊 (no scope!)
The Mauser logo on the top of the action is sweet👍 And you folks who want a fake bolt put on....get over it🤣
MC one of finest airgun marksmen in the kingdom.

Looks beautiful, picking mine up on the 2ndJune.
Beautiful rifle ❤
I didn’t know Lord Grantham was so keen on pellet guns ;)
Nice review Mark
I have one 16joules 4.5mm

Why couldn't they have made a pcp rifle and given it a nice big FUNCTIONAL bolt?
This is a successfully failed product design.
dont forget the plastic sights and trigger guard, its disappointing for 450 $
mrtrek64 agree
@@AKESEBA No plastic sights on mine. trigger guard yes but thats it .
How much ?? Again shame no bolt ?? I wonder whether you could attach / weld one on ?
You can get one with the bolt attached. It's the pcp version

Would this be accurate enough for 54 yard shots on a field target . Is there any way you could make a video showing the accuracy at 54 yards .
Beautiful
This is mine in a different dimension where they are clever enough to encorporate a bolt
Do they still sell these somewhere? Because i searched and i couldn't find any site selling them.
Great review.
I'm sold
I might get one, get the action tuned by Tony at Sandwell and try to find a period style scope for it with the German recticle.....
would be Nice if they made it like Mosin-Nagant M1944 CO2 Air Rifle
NallePu83 There will be a K98 and SMLE available in July in a similar vein to the Mosin, but using real wood stocks..
They should have put a bolt on it to make it look at least a tiny bit real
if only Diana had put a rotary magazine to chamber the pallets with a bolt on the side then the imitation wouldve been complete. there are some springers that come with a magazine so this wouldve been great.
Where i can buy this gun?
Im saving for one
Great Model, Thanks a lot #DIANA

Hello what is the reference of your telescope
Nice, I need how much price it
I want one!
Diana 💞lovers, 22 ,177👌👌
Mark, do you know which Diana 'action' is used on this model?
I'm thinking Diana Mod50
The Diana 460.
@@armandogonzales9304 Thank you Armando. hahaha! I laugh because apparently Mark NEVER answers questions, but he does expect to have subscribers!
What's the range
How much Mauser k98 airgun
cool replica.
I've been trying to get this Diana Mauser 98 in .22 via my RFD and he cannot get hold of one from Edgar Brothers for love nor money. Who distributes for Diana in the UK now? Please?
Simon Atack Try Sportsguns.co.uk they also deliver as their drivers are registered RFDs.
Thank you very much for the link Kevin. I'll contact them this weekend and order the rifle forthwith. I like the look of their other guns too.
where can I buy this
sky 085 Most RFDs that sell airguns.. Depends on where you live.

The whole point would be the bolt action capability
Hello,
I bought a Dina k98 (.22)
i finaly shot it last week but, it shoots to the left up to 15 cm ! (+-30 meter distance)
Is this "normal" ???
#Diana quality :/
Have you adjusted the sights to compensate?
Gun Mart TV the thing is.. the sights are nearly all the way to the left.. and they were like that when i bought it.
I would get someone else (another set of eyes) to look it over and have a go. If no luck then take it back to the store and see what they say.
Yeah, sounds like a good idea..
Still, i hope i don't need to.
Thanks foto the respons
Good luck, hope you get it sorted.
Gun Mart review the K98 as a gas ram too...God i'm confused. I won't invalidate the guarantee by stripping it though.
beautiful and I want one But I think you will find it gas ram and I can hear no twang
stephen hanson None of them are Gas Ram, that was an advertising mistake..
$ ?
If it had a fake bolt I would buy it.
No Bolt no buy.
Then buy a real K98
Is it not a HW77 with nice woodwork?
I brought one of these in 2016 it's ok and very well made but I have found my HW80 a lot better for rats and other shit that harms my free range hens.
Can this be fitted with a bayonet?
Now I've stopped laughing, no it can't and why on earth would you want to?! 😂
nice video, great looking gun, a bolt would be cool also a gas piston , still a beauty i added it to my wishlist on pyramydair.com

What? That doesn't make sense.
Maybe on your council estate it makes sense. But those with an education; you're talking shit. Dumbass.
such a pity you are not half the marksman or have even a smidge of the knowledge and respect mark cammocio has in the UK airgun world.
Most of all , I like German Girls.
can u supply this beast to india........i want to buye it frm u
Londoner
Очень интересно!Но ничё не понятно....
Could you hunt rabbits with this?
Yes
@@ianmangham4570 Cheers
Gas-ram and not Spring-piston as stated!
I stripped and lubed mine yesterday....definitely a springer. No twangs now after a coat of Abbey moly spring grease.
Many thanks for verifying that. I will look in to lubing mine too when the guarantee ends.

No bolt action, not qualified enough to be named as Mauser K98.
Too late. The Mauser logo is placed on top of the action. It's a sweet rifle👍
