Painterly Ornaments in Blender 3D with Grease Pencil

Hey Everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Created this last minute piece in Blender yesterday and because of that, decided to make this video a time lapse! This was really fun to make - I was experimenting with an older shader I made earlier this year to get this watercolor look. If you want want to find out more about that shader, you check out my Cake Tutorial (link below) where I walk through a similar set it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to record the grease pencil portions. But I ended up reusing some assets from past pieces. I wanted this to feel bright and warm and really liked how it turned out!

Thank you so much! The glass shader has the same foundation as the ornaments except I've added a few nodes like a Transparent BSDF and Fresnel to make it see through. I'll see if I can do a tutorial on it sometime in the future!

They’re cylinders with cuts that have been rotated + a subdivision surface modifier. Hope that helps!
