    I feel NZ need to learn about Jesse and the way shes playing in the AFLW .Im from NZ and my boys play Afl in brisbane and we followed Jesse because we saw she had a maori tattoo.We are always telling people back home about this awesome maori athlete that plays aflw.Unfortunately afl isnt big in NZ but I feel a peice on Jesses story aired back home would be great to try and grow the sport there.

    The AFL ran ads that said Gender Equality is Equal Pay on and off the Field. So why is there a huge Gender Pay Gap in the AFL?

    Clubs like St Kilda have all received tens of millions of dollars in government Women in Sport Grants to upgrade their training and administration facilities. While the hardworking players like Jesse Wardlaw struggle to survive on the tiny payments the Club who is profiting off their Labor is benefitting from.

    Women get equal pay in Tennis, Soccer, and at the Olympics. Why is there still such a huge gender pay gap in the AFL?

      AFLW is so good

      Not enough backing and support compared to the mens. It's kind of better that it's this small as well. Means ticket prices are lower, and many games let kids watch for free. More of a family atmosphere. But sports stars are just overpaid in general
