St Thomas Tourism Development Plan

Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, has announced a development plan, for the eastern parish of St. Thomas, to be unveiled in the coming months.
So far the Plan includes 51 projects for implementation over the next decade to 2030, of which 40 projects will be led by the Ministry of Tourism. The ministry has noted that the parish has numerous attractions and locations suitable for the development of various types of tourist accommodations, and its proximity to Kingston, particularly the Norman Manley International Airport, suggests that significant tourism development is possible, which will serve as a catalyst for the parish's overall social and economic development.
