Woody you do some great demo's but I have been programming a Juno-Stage for the last couple of years and I have some pads that will knock ya sox off as huge or bigger than this, it has 128 note poly so you can really go to town on combining layers, also I like that it only has an arpeggio it makes you really play the parts as you can say have a transposing bass down the bottom a chord/solo up top and rhythm part with it all in sync I do this on the Juno-Stage and it has made me a better player not as lazy as I used to be.

Ver 3.0 firmware did indeed add a menu item for sequencing, just like you're used to.

This pad sound sold it for me. The horses are out of the barn and off to the races. Gonna have to cop this synth.

Very powerful indeed. But what hits the home base for me, is the sound that you get at 6:27 ...oh my goodness!! It brings me straight into a DREAM or a VISION !!

The sounds of the models of the new Jupiter X/Xm are great and all the controls on the panel were what I wanted when the Jupiter-80/50 came out. However, As a long time Roland user (30 years) the Xm's user interface is a nightmare for a synth produced in 2020. I returned it the day I got it.

There is a 64-step sequencer in the XM. You can recover the last 5-6 arpeggiations from the i-arp (they automatically stay in memory) or step-sequence on the keyboard on via screen. It's all here: ruclips.net/video/OS38pWjdaEA/видео.html

The JUPITER-Xm would be an excellent little performance synthesizer if it had the keybed with channel aftertouch from the JD-XA. But, I guess if one wants a performance synthesizer, one can get the JD-XA.

If I'm not mistaken, you can play your sequence and the i-Arpeggio will record it and play it next time you turn the i-Arpeggio on ( save the scene ). I'm two weeks in and I have still sooo many things to discover on the Xm.

@@WoodyPianoShack So far I've only done step recording and that's about it. Look at this, Woody: ruclips.net/video/5ygeChThLxQ/видео.html

..you need a couple expression pedals - they are your friends.. no need to reach for cutoff, volume etc..
Jupiter Xm only has one input probably already mapped to cutoff or volume on 99% of patches.

Video in to 8.19 layering so many sounds in my opinion is too much. fat sound but too much 9,15 much better. 11.25 too much again. I think the main reason to own one of these is to get the range of sounds from one synth. Very good for live gigs. I keep watching videos on the Xm and the X to see if purchasing one is worth wile.
