they are very cool to find and with a little TLC you can bring them back to their glory days but I am sure people who collect these see it as coin collectors see cleaning a coin.
Like this one. Excellent video. This last week we went to an "artifact museum" in eastern NC. My wife didn't believe me you could walk along and find these if you knew what you were looking for. Thanks for having my back man. Three episodes I'd love to see: 1) "All the Slaw" - Wherein you show a bad dig where it is mostly nothing but junk. Live dig some trash! 2) "The Hooverettes" - Take the kids out and let them beep that history. 3) "Subscriber Support" - Here you take a subscriber out to one of your not terribly secret locations and have a day. Maybe make it a raffle or something with the proceeds going to an organization that gets kids out in nature, or something else near and dear to y'all's hearts. Throw some fishing in on top of it and I'm going to be first in line.
Watched yesterday on my lunch break and didn't have time to comment. I noticed some of the arrow heads Brad was finding look similar in shape as the goldfish snacks I was eating! Love the arrow head hunting videos! LFOD!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Been artifact hunting back in Missouri. Found quite a few arrow heads, but the find of the day was a tomahawk head that was in perfect condition. It was great getting some video from Brad, and totally agree it would be great to see the gang back together.
almost looks like a british celtic iron age axe head....that sandstone beige coloured piece you and paul held,,,that you spotted from a ways is awesome.... great vlog guys
Neat finds! My dad once found a round stone ball when he looked back behind the tractor working the field. I found an obsidian pendant one time sitting on a sandbar in a little creek!
Definitely enjoy all of you Hoover Boys and like seeing every one of you in the videos. Do miss Brad, Bill, Bob and Leo though no doubt and hope you are all doing well.
What the heck? B-rad on the dang video! Now we need the bob, the skinny (billy)boy! Now the muck the Kurt what a nice surprise! Looking forward to some river videos please...
Congrats Paul on the GW find. I don't know enough about this subject to make an educated comment on stone type, names, process, etc.. but these specimens are very cool and very old. Amazing to find the ones that are intact after being exposed to the elements for such a long time period.
I loved this video! One of my favorite treasure hunting finds is a Native American arrowhead. And I like your friend’s hat. We need a Nugget Noggin’ & Hoover Boys collusion!
It could be a type of Adze, or a bi face platter. Bi face platters were carried back from a quarry site where they would find there material to make tools and or points. They would flake them out rough like that so the wouldn’t have to carry so much heavy stone back with them.
Love y'alls videos and glad to see a native hunt! I hunt on the VA eastern shore. We have some awesome beach and marsh spots loaded with native. Found some real smokers over there. Roadtrip?!...
Some amazing finds. I love going to the fields and looking for points and pieces. What's insane is I can basically hold a piece and move it in my fingers and tell if a piece is worked or not. I can easily tell the difference in worked flake being an actual piece of a point vs a flake that has just been knocked off and not worked. It always amazes people how easily I can just feel the piece and be like (Yes that is a piece of a point or No thats just a flake from working on a piece but not worked itself).
My friends Dad and him use to fill up 5 gal buckets of points in PA after they drained a reservoir near their home he has hundreds mounted on boards in his home...
Good show guys! Saved some nice pieces there for sure. Especially like those quartz points! Love seeing artifacts from different parts of the country so thanks for sharing! Just found your channel and gave you a Sub!
Arrowhead hunting is great to do I am sure it's fun, but sure look forward to the Hoover nation metal detecting especially sence most fields are planted and cant get out as much , I need my Weds fix lol........
Axxwound is right on his assessment. We find a lot of those here in the Midwest. Hand scrapers and preforms. A lot of those smaller crude pieces get used, damaged and reworked until there’s just a small point and base left, then discarded. They probably started out much larger.
I so enjoy all of the adventures The Hoover Boys take us on, you know we're going to have fun! B-Rad's intro...over the top hilarious. But Kurt...you posted this way after Mother's Day...did he make it? 😂🤣
I have to agree with Rockhunter62. The large piece would be a hoe, chopping tool etc. The drill piece was pretty cool! My first thought was it was used for punching holes in skins so they could be stitched together. Fun times! Good to see B-rad back in the field!
Nice artifact hunt guys. That “Skull Cracker” is a Hammer-stone use to make tools and arrowheads. The large piece could be anything from an unfinished tool, to Hand Chopper, to Hoe Blade and eventually a Knife👍🏻
I was thinking hand chopper. What little I remember of my Archeology/Anthropology classes in college you'd put a piece of leather between your hand and the stone and butcher/chop away. When it got dull you'd turn it around and keep working. Kinda like a modern double bit ax. I was thinking the same thing about the "Skull Cracker".
It's funny that over here in the UK I found bronze age arrowhead. Around 5000 years old. The native Americans and the bronze age people were world's apart but still had a similar idea on tools.
15:00 Imagine if that GW button had been holed for someone to use as a spinner??!? Good thing the person had no idea the eventual scarcity, eh?? BTW, every time you said "massive tool", I kept expecting you to show a still of Brad. 🤣😉🤣
@@threefortytwo23 🤣. To clarify, it's not that I think that burn is warranted, Brad, but that Kurt would find himself unable to resist utilizing that moment in some fashion. 😎
kal·seh·duh·nee. Thank God for Google because I didn't know how to pronounce it either. Chalcedony. Also rookie rockhounding on RUclips find beautiful specimens of it. Nice finds Hooverboy's
Great finds fellas!! Curt you might want to investigate that broken triangle point. Without being able to touch it, it looks like it could possibly be an early archaic to possible transitional paleo point. So a 10500 to 9000 B.P.!! Enjoyed both hunts, congrats and good luck on the next!!
We need more triple B's. Brad, Bob, and Billy.......great stuff as always!
Happy Father's Day
Glad we got to see you Brad
P.A. Pirate Paul would have been as happy as a pig in the sunshine to have been arrowhead hunting with you boy's
Absolutely loved it great show Paul is an awesome guy.
Awesome! Love to see you guys branching out in the history department! Loved that big old preform!
Great to see Brad back and a nice arrow head under the cat..
Awesome to see Brad! Great finds everyone, Paul congratulations on your GW buttons! Happy Hunting
Good kitty, nice kitty, nice Hoover Boys hunt
I loved and agreed with Brads philosophy about needing more... in the opening of the video. Thanks again!!
The Hoover Boys definitely needs more Brad 😂
Brad or anyone else. They need more coils out in the field.
Absolutely needs more Bob, Brad and Leo!
I like the arrowhead hunts. You guys should do more of these!
The Hoover Boys and Quarter Hoarder are my favs Great collab
Can't wait to see all the OG's back together on this channel .
It would be so cool to find an arrowhead. Just to look down and find one, would be outstanding. Thanks for the arrowhead lessons.
they are very cool to find and with a little TLC you can bring them back to their glory days but I am sure people who collect these see it as coin collectors see cleaning a coin.
Amazing artifacts. So glad to see Brad, it’s been a while.
Thank you for doing an artifact video!!! I like hunting artifacts just as much as metal detecting.
Good to see Bradley, Mark's feet and Paul.
Congrats on the great GW button
Agreed, it nice to have the more of the gang on. I just love how you guys interact, it is so much fun. My wife won't mind more Brad either, lol.
My grandpa had a whole collection of arrowheads he found! Great Video!!!
Very cool!
Nice arrowheads. I kept waiting for the quarter hoarder to show up. Great field P A Pirate Paul.
What an AWESOME video. Those artifacts & arrowheads are amazing!
Loved this episode. Well done Paul fab find👍🇮🇪
That’s a beauty
Love the new buddy y'all picked up!
Large tool is a early stage preform. they would take flakes off as needed and eventually form into a point.
So far G-2,G3 tops ,it's all good. Never miss Wed. Hoover boys. Y'all are my favorite.

2 turtle back scrapers! Kool Beans!!
Thanks!
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Awesome finds guys. I remember when I found a 3 hole piece of slate, I'm glad I kept it. My wife thought it was garbage, it appraised for over $300.
Thats awesome! Thanks
Enjoyed the hunts as always, guys. Appreciate the work put into producing an enjoyable video 👊

Nice stuff
The large tool looks like a hide scraper or a preform. I'm still learning all of the tool types.
The large tools that don't look like a point are definitely scrapers. I have even found several in my back yard in Montana.
I agree... hide scraper
I was about to comment the same thing. Hide scraper.
Exactly what I signed on to suggest: hide scraper.
Sure does!!! Definitely an Indian artifact!!
I love going on walks and finding native American artifacts I have a little baggie or arrow heads from over the years and a few hatchet heads.
Great to see you out Brad hope you didn't get grounded on Mothers Day. I hate it when that happens. Great finds all around. Take Care
Nice to see B-Rad, and I agree that looks like a hide scraper.
AWESOMENESS and CONGRATULATIONS Paul for a Spectacular Find!!
This video really got me pumped up!! I need to get out before the corn gets to high😬🤘🏼
I immediately liked this video because of the cat. 😎
The rest of the video was OK
Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Hahaha!
That large one is a bifacial preform. trader would carry them from camp to camp and the local knapper would work them down to the style they needed
100%!
Good to see B rad
Good to see you too.
Definitely enjoy all of you Hoover Boys and like seeing every one of you in the videos. Do miss Brad, Bill, Bob and Leo though no doubt and hope you are all doing well.

Between broke arrowheads and slick coins you have all the luck lol. Thanks for the video!
Haha! Yet I'll always enjoy it
Thank you, Brad, for recognizing the need for more Bill on this channel. Bill likes pointy rocks too.
Creeping up on that 100k 💪💪💪
Y'all kick butt on metal detecting. Leave native American artifacts to us country boys and girls. Love your channel.

Exactly correct calling it a biface.
Awesome video! I love points and tools almost as much as I love Civil War relics! Great job!

Hoover Boys need Bob & Brad. True.

Love those arrowheads! I hope I don't see Brad on the side of a milk carton! Thanks!

Native American artifacts always amaze me. AWESOME!

Brad looked like Ryan Reynolds
I think he looks like one of the crashed space ship astronauts from The Original Planet Of The Apes
😂
I'll look like whoever you want, just let me know.
did a little google image search, it looks like it could be a digging tool for planting crops. but yay for wednesdays!
