Trevor Knight is not a good QB, but he's still one of the most kind and motivating people at OU. It's no wonder why he's the team captain despite being on the second string.

Nothing against the guy personally. Seems like a good guy, and will be successful at whatever he does, but he is not a very good quarterback.

+Ryley Leseberg While I will agree that Mike Stoops should have not laid off so much late, sometimes it's very effective to rush three. Many times OU has been able to get pressure while rushing just three or four. And when you can do this you are very solid in coverage, and can cause many turnovers. The problem for OU's defense this game was that the offense could not sustain a drive in the second half and that starts to take a toll on your defense. And give tcu credit. They're still a very good football team. At the end of the day the Sooners beat a top 20 football team. Boomer! Sooner!
Yes haha still glad for the victory. But more times than not they complete a pass on rush 3's. OU can put pressure because Walker and Tapper are monsters, but they can't play like that that consistently without getting worn out. They eventually got pretty worn out later on. Thanks for posting this though!
+hambone694 Exactly. Not only does the defense get worn down, but the opposing OC has a better idea of where to exploit. Plus, once they took at their 2nd stringer and put in that 3rd stringer they got the ball moving. I have a feeling that if they had started that 3rd guy the game might have gone a bit differently. But of course if Mayfield hadn't gotten knocked out you could say the same.
Thanks once again Hambone! I will say this much: I agree that Knight was not effective. But, I will throw this up for thought. When was the last time he saw significant playing time? Also, TCU has a pretty good defense. That was Patterson's bread and butter. But on the flip side, Knights biggest problem has always been that he never got a good feel for the rest of the WR corps, just Shepperd.
