Pretty sharp old Ford dump! Don't see those on the road every day anymore. I was pulling for you brother and at the same time PRAYING that you didn't bend that bumper...I know how much they cost! I knew you were good the first time that the old girl got her right steer tire up. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that!
NICE 9000. Got to ramp it before it'll move. Been there a BUNCH with dumpers and mixers and all matters of other stuff. Shame the load wouldn't shove you out but the front was down too much. Good job getting out. Nothing broke and just clay on the tires.
Good job driver nice work getting that out of that hole. Nice work with the video too. I think you won't forget a shovel next time.. lol it's nice to see you didn't tear anything up on the truck
Liked your approach, slow and easy, use the shovel instead of beat up the truck, yes you probably spend couple of hours with the shovel, but not having to call a heavy wrecker probably save you $300 so that's not bad time with a shovel. So many guys when they get something big stuck start putting the power to it and digging them self in worse. Good job,
At 137 when the front end came up a bit put a piece behind the the tire and backup on to it then in front keep repeating until you have it up high enough if he had latched the tailgate and stood the box up it would have helped rsise the front end and been easier on the clutch next time spend less money trying to look like a peterbilt and more on a shovel
Best way to handle this problem is to jack up the front axle and put some dirt and wood boards under the tires. Moving back and forth only made the situation worse. Best thing would be to dump dirt before dropping the front axle over the concrete edge. Or at least back to the edge and dump a portion of the load right at the concrete edge. Then back over this hump. Better get the alignment checked on the front axle after this abuse or plan on wearing out steering tread prematurely.
@@veteranheavyequipmechanic4990 Ok, I did miss that. Thanks for shedding light on the situation. I got my dump truck stuck yesterday and it was my fault because I didn't get out of the truck and walk the site first. That's what happens when I don't check things out.
@@davidmorse8432 it's easy to do. During the winter off season I've been running triaxle when they need me. Even with someone there to tell me where to dump I've sunk and gotten stuck. I hope everything worked out for you. All you can do is try to learn from it.
@@veteranheavyequipmechanic4990 Yep, everything worked out. Luckily my wife was home. She came and picked me up. I went back home, got my other truck, trailer and rubber tired backhoe, hauled it to the site, pulled out the stuck truck and spread the gravel, hauled the machine back home, then went back to pickup the dump truck. What a pain! My wife was a real help. I am glad she quit her job.
Thats what i said no shovel..Lol..I used to drive a ford triaxle just like this old truck..Had a scraper in between the cab but no shovel...So im not going to agravate.. Roll Tide
Nix on the Dog... I backed into the bosses yard with his Granite. The left rear tandems sunk almost as deep as the hubs as soon as I stop moving. The right side sunk but not near as deep. I took a chance and started to dump some of it came off but it started leaning too far so I got it back down on the frame. In the granny gear just starting to let out the clutch and there was a horrendous Bang!! So much for not being able to lock in your power dividers. If they were all locked in that axle would not have broken. They don't build the dogs like they used to. :-( Nice looking 9000 Ford you got there.
@@barrysimmons5489 I would be willing to bet your Granite was air ride suspension. Stick with Camelback if you want to do offroading with a dump truck. The Camelback suspension is a rougher ride but will come with Mack differentials and these are the strongest in the industry.
@@davidmorse8432 No, as a matter of fact, third axle was airbag. Several months later we had to dump some asphalt off due the weight restrictions in a gated community subdivision. The boss decided he was going to drive it in to the site. He got in the seat, moving on an incline he slammed it into 2nd gear, Bang! There went another one, so much for Wannabe truck drivers... We dumped 18 tons of hotrocks on their maintainence parking lot. Spread it with their skid steer. They don't make them Dogs like they used to... Crying shame.
@@barrysimmons5489 Unfortunately you are right, I have always been a Mack fan and still am to a lesser degree. Mack is now owned by Volvo. So, the true Mack is no more. I have a 08' Mack CHU with a MP 13 in it, Mack 18 sp. trans 44k camel back dump truck. I know the engine is basically a Volvo engine even though the MP is supposed to stand for "Mack Power". The old Mack engines are no longer available in new trucks thanks to Tier 4 EPA regs. I still like my truck it goes real fast and has gobs of power compared to my old R model and DM models which I still have and use.
There are a few reasons for a black reek like that and UN burnt fuel is one as air to fuel ratio isn't correct, dirty air filters and of-course in older engines. the new CAT DEF system deals with this for Europe anyway.
Pepe La pew lmao. No it is not dude. This truck is very old. Regent systems didn’t start appearing on trucks until 2007. Even so, during a regen there is no smoke. That’s the whole idea of the system
I kept screaming “DONT F UP THAT BUMPER!” Hurts my eyes to see an old fixed up truck get hurt! She’s a beauty

You really worked hard. I am glad you got out without breaking anything.
Those old Fords are good trucks. My dad bought a Ford 9000 LT 10 wheeler dump straight from the factory in 1973 and it cost $23,000 new.

Dump truck fun hobby! C70 366. 5 over 2 loved that truck.
In Australia olde mate is known as a star trucker 🎉. Good song from local talent 👍👍👍
Gotta love when the home owner stands on top of you
It's even better when they offer suggestions

Beautiful truck!! Ford man one hell of a heavy-duty truck...Probably on par with a Mack dump truck.

They really moved too.,....alot of power....
I like that truck. nice. I love older trucks
Son that's a bad ASS L9 ... I MUST SAY I LOVE IT..!!!
Nice louie👌😍😍😍🇦🇺
That's a nice L8000 👌
Nice Truck, Thumbs Up and wishing you a good weekend.
Obviously someone with a brain & has been stuck before.. LOL Been there my friend, Good job. Nice truck.
Get the truck back as far as possible and fill in the hole at the front tire using the dirt and a shovel. Make a ramp. Up and out.
I agree, one can look around the site and find some wood like 2 x 4's or whatever. Place them lengthwise along the concrete edge. That works too.
You done real good! Nice looking truck.
How in gods name do you have a dump truck with no shovel. Nice job getting her out though
Nice truck . Good job getting it out. Listen what cab visor is that? Need 1 for my ltl9000.
YOU'RE FIRED!!!
Raise the bed with the gate locked, let all the weight bring the front up then putter in 5th gear and pop the clutch
GOOD JOB MAN PLUS SHE IS A SUPER BEAUTY
That’s a very nice truck man
Good job, nice truck
Sweet truck!!

Concrete in that driveway looked about as thin as I've ever seen.
Who did the grill? Stock surround but the grill is sweet! Bumper and visor too. Sweet old Ford 9000 done up right!
Sweet looking truck 👍
Great job Great truck enough said. 👍

This is where all wheel drive like on some cement mixers comes in handy. If that front axle was powered you would of probably had no problem at all.
Should have taken some of the dirt, and filled the hole the front tire was in, little by little, till you walked it out, I got a dumptruck as well
hell its light now, drive forward, especially with the bed up
Put the dirt in front of the front wheel, you know make a ramp
Good looking Louisville, has it got the twin stick 5&4
Nice looking ford I know where 2 of them at with the Cummins engine
are the grill insert and visor custom fabricated? would love to get them for our trucks
That KTM tag is what caused you to get stuck! :)
love those trucks nice truck
At least you ain't stuck now.

OH WHAT'S THE SPECS ON HER
didnt watch the whole thing but did he even lock his dividers ? sure seems like any truck wouldve walked right out with a flip of a switch.

Good deal, thats why workin men dont go to tha gym. Made me tired for you. But you made it happen without costing a bunch of money.

Not much of a driver dude back up the two feet it moves and fill the hole in with dirt drive out
Like watching paint dry!
Jesus look at the unburnt fuel , toooo much reeek mate.
