I really enjoyed this video. It's kinda mind-blowing to me, when I think about all the steps we've taken, all the choices we've made, all the people we've met, and all the chance encounters we've experienced that all have lead to us both becoming animators. I feel like a lot of it for me was good timing, not just choices I made and studying it did. And if I'd had different teachers, or didn't go to a particular animation studio open house (out of shyness or because I felt tired), my life would have had a different result from missing those moments.
I don't think I've ever told you this before, but I discovered Welcome to Hell when a page of the comic you made appeared as a Daily Deviantion on Deviantart. If I didn't spot it and click on that thumbnail, I wouldn't be here listening to your amazing videos. :)

I'm currently after finishing my first year of Animation in college. I'm finding it really interesting and I did want to do anime style animation when I was younger, but I changed my mind. Which then progressed into wanting to my own independent animations. So I'm happy that I can relate to you in animation with certain parts XD.

I'm going to KCAI this fall and thank you for the insight on what that college is like. I'm working a full time job so I could pay for this college and I've had my doubts if I actually chose the right college. I've been working my ass off in 3 different jobs since I graduated from high school last year, and every time I hear good stuff about this college it helps me get through it.

Eariler today I was contemplating whether or not I wanted to stay at the current college I'm enrolled at. I am pursuing a BFA in animation, however I don't think my school is teaching me skills that will lead me to a successful career. I've had this video on my watch later playlist for a while. But to hear your story at this time makes me feel more confident in a decision to go ahead and transfer schools. Thank you! In case you are reading this Erica I've been a fan since 2015!

I love animation too! I started animating ever since Christmas when I got an iPad and it’s already been 5 months but I’m still not any good at it. I guess I just need some practice.

Aaaaa this was just really nice to watch and listen to! I love when artists do videos like this.
Any recommendation for a good program for animation for someone who's just starting out? I've wanted to try my hands at it for a looooong time, and I'm having a bit of trouble finding a good starting point (I actually do have OpenToonz, but my mac has a very hard time running it and it crashes a lot, so i haven't gotten to play around much), and having already graduated college with no hope of ever going back, it's a bit overwhelming!
Oh my gosh, Erica, when u were talking about how u got into animation, u were literally speaking about my life. I love drawing and always have, as well as watching cartoons and anime(dispite me almost being in highschool). Which is why, once I graduate highschool, I want to become a full time animator and make my own cartoon show(maybe adult stuff or maybe older kids stuff, IDK). And watching your animations gives me even more inspiration to follow my dreams. Thank you for that.😊 Also, what Art school did you go to? I'm just curious.(and if u said it already, I'm sorry for asking...)😅

Hey I don't want to be annoying or anything, but when you say you're working on Welcome to Hell, do you mean a sequel? And if so, do you have a rough idea of what month it will be ready? I'm sorry, I don't want to rush you or anything, but Welcome to Hell was just so amazing (the characters' personalities and designs, the storyline and the how it was all put together) and I'm really excited for more of it
