I've never been a fan of D-Koy's whistle combos (no hate, just not my style) but I was truly surprised he didn't win this. I felt like his rounds were just overall better. Crazy battle!
i actually i like d koy cause he blend his whistle really good unlike other beatboxers who use same whistle combo , but i respect your opinion i also dont like colaps vocal scratch and reverse sounds , it doesnt even sound like reverse to me
fair point, but yea I be likin' how he uses it. he doesn't rely on the sound/highly varied combo at all though, he's got a whole kit and a half even without it, which is so prevalent here.
Have to comment… this battle is insane but I have a question. I understand that Inertia has a huge WOW factor with his inward bass and power. But are judges not judging cleanliness and timing anymore? Inertia has a good 45 seconds per round before he’s just all over the place with timing. Hard to vibe with him. Neither beatboxers had a good structure this battle but I felt D-Koy had amazing rounds with timing, placements, and even a wow factor. Both are amazing beatboxers who have mastered their styles, I just have noticed timing being such an issue with Inertia….
This was a very close one, Inertia's second round was messy and not as well structured as his first one. D-Koy popped off with the second round but overall I can see why Inertia took it.

As much as i love K.I but i just dont comprehend the result of this battle. Inertia's 2nd round was a trainwreck, legit spammed every sound he knew. D-koy's rounds highly technical and composed. D-koy should have won this

Getting tired of seeing Inertia win battles based entirely off of "OMG inward bass" because D-Koy SMOKED him. Inertia's putting some new sounds in here and there, but they're underdeveloped and don't change the structure of routines he's been doing for literal years at this point.

that point, and then, he had times where the sound ain't come out: and timing issues with him trying to do too much: and structure issues on that same token. the judges are fucked for this, except Gene.

Because people don't want to admit that Inertia has plateaued. Putting a couple of new underdeveloped sounds in routines that all have similar structure isn't enough to win battles imho.

Inertia's first round was well structured and just pure power while D-Koy was all over the place and pulling out some crazy combos in between

@@snoopyr1953 I understand his style plenty, recycle the same beats with some powerful inward bass and throw in stuff he's learning before it's polished. The reason everyone says the same thing is because he keeps doing the same thing. Every battle I watch eventually has his High Middle Low routine and the vocalized scratch zippers, plus his timing suffers the longer the round goes.
I don't care how powerful it is. It's old, repetitive, and he keeps skating by on biased judging panels and hype from things he came up with months ago. D-Koy is cleaner, more structured, counters better, and had more interesting rounds.
I'm not trashing on him, he's fun to listen to and top-tier but not as malleable or dynamic as most other battlers right now. I want to see him succeed but he didn't win this one.

Really disappointing to see when ppl say " *I am tired of ppl complaining about the judge decision* 😣", since when did genuine criticism and scrutiny become a problem? I ain't hating on them, i genuinely want to know what was the thinking behind that decision, if the judges actually have a plausible explanation then i would be happy to understand and change my opinions but sadly there is no transparency in the judging system

I don't even understand that much beatbox and even on hard drugs I would easily chose the real winner here. Inertia has one of the sickest textures on the scene but D-Koy threw a practicaly perfect (including Intertia's textures) performance.

Why did…dkoy not get this? I fucking love KI but he got rofl stomped here. Dkoy was a MONSTER and so much cleaner. KI round two gets really messy and his timing is inconsistent across both. Great sounds but Dkoy was so much stronger in this one.

K.I is winning based on hype on this one I think... at least to me DKoy had the better, more consistent rounds. Don't get me wrong. K.I is a beast, but I was infinitely more wowed by DKoy on this one. When K.I gets more technical, he will be unstoppable. He gets a little better every time I see him battle, so it won't be long. He will be DLow level before long.

I’d give Dkoy the win by a landslide. Inertia gotta retire routines on pace with the rest of the competitors regardless if the bass hits heavy or not. Just can’t keep spamming them every tournament hoping to win by changing little fillers. Gotta go develop some new routines and bass variations in my opinion.
