Thanks so much for speaking so clearly. I have the feeling to be able to understand every single word. That - unfortenutely - doesn't happen in many explanation videos I watch!
If I understand this correctly, what he's actually saying, is leave the Default styles as a base, then create a customized version of that default to use for your projects, along with a transparent version of the customized version when desired.
Yes, I guess I should clarify with this type of statement. "Don't use the Defaults as your default style. Create a child style and reserve the Default style as a control for certain global attributes (or properties as they call them)."
@@recipehacker9752 Gee, that's a bummer. I'm a Filemaker Pro lifer myself so I know the pain of which you speak. I use it to track my daily life so it's pretty straightforward at this point, but I am on Mac, which has to be better. What could be "one ridiculous flaw?" Anything going wrong after some upgrades has to be a coding error.
@@recipehacker9752 I feel your pain. But it does seem like "windows issues" which is out of my jurisdiction. I would think talking to Filemaker Pro during their open office hours would be pretty painless. They are good with install issues and such.

@@recipehacker9752 I don't think so, not yet. I believe he's updating it. It's been old for a while now. 😇 Looking forward to a new release actually.
@@recipehacker9752 What's your Filemaker Pro story?
