The S2 Pro is supposed to have regenerative braking and it's also supposed to regenerate when going downhill, correct? When applying the E-Brake, I see yellow bars. That means it's regenerating? If so, why don't I see that when going downhill?
Ty for the video, got one after seeing this video in May. Ended up going with the s2 pro due to range because I'm using it to get out of the house and just joy ride around town. It also isn't much more than the S2 anymore. S2 pro is only $399 on amazon either on sale or via coupon almost all the time now. Broke my wrist after only 2 weeks, not the scooters fault, very small pot hole and I was going full speed on an area I hadn't been on before had a bike helmet on atleast. Just got my cast of and while It looks like over kill but now I ride wiith a full face helmet, elbow guards that go down the fore arm and knee guards that go down to the shows. Only takes 2 minutes to gear up, also not a gopro but another brand action camera on top of the helm. So much but you can do a lot of damage at just 19mph! I flew over the bars for 10+ feet breaking both the radius and ulna. ironically it was in an urgrent cars parking lot aprol..they were closed -_-
Is there also any weight difference between the two? With a small battery, the S2 should be lighter. I owned the S2 Pro and had a hard time lifting it before it got stolen, I am considering the S2 now, if that is lighter than the Pro model...?
How do I get another S2 pro man?I still have mine. It's working perfectly, but the tires have reached their peak. The motor same thing wisdom.Diesel needs to do a test on these things.Man.I've been hit by too many damn care and it still goes
@@DIYReidI know almost all electric scooters have them. Question is, how to access it, if it’s even accessible. I’d assume you can bypass it by finding out which wire is feeding the info to the controller if need be.
Question for you. I’m 6’8. Thinking the S2 Pro would work, but do you know if HiBoy has one that is even taller? I’ve yet to google that, down the RUclips rabbit hole researching all the reviews. Got a local dealer of this brand but haven’t done a test ride yet
Loved your videos!! I'm just low on budget, so I'm planning to get the s2 pro refurbished one. Do you think it will run like the new one? And there will be no compromise on performance?? Thanks
I really didn't learn anything from this video, it would have been more helpful to hear more about how the scooters perform and how they stand up over time
@@marcellusrobinson1465 They advertise up to 19 miles, but my scooter always gave out under 13 miles and I only weight 185 pounds. I returned it for this reason.
i like hiboy company because it selfbalanceing scooter some other compnay out there there scooter sux not self balanceing and it dangerous that why you have to used gear
Thanks for the review. I just bought the S2 and it works great for me as it is my first time on an e-scooter.
just bought the s2 pro this video really helped me thx alot
I just bought 2 S2 Pro scooters for $350 for both from a new dealer new me. Super excited
That’s a sweet deal
That is a steal of a deal! I'm jelly!
Thank you for the comparison between the two. I appreciate that.
Thanks for the kind words.

Both S2 and S2 Pro have regenerated braking.
@@DIYReid I don't think you read my comment carefully..... 😓
@@jbug1979Lol😂
@@jbug1979 they both have regenerative braking.
I think the answer to my question is that the yellow bars do not indicate the battery regenerating.

That’s not good. Sorry to hear that. They are fun but respect them for what they are as they can hurt you.

I heard another difference. You can remove the speed limiter on the Pro version? Do you know anything about that?
I don’t. I haven’t seen any actual evidence of that.

Not sure. I know they have some higher end models for sure.
@@DIYReid thanks. I did see some of the higher end ones but I don’t need one super fancy.
I hear ya.
Which should I get s2 pro or s2r plus?
Plus I believe just had a bigger batter. Maybe a little larger.
Thanks for the review

Yes. The S2 Pro here is actually a refurbished model
So did you go refurbished? Does it seem as good as new? Is the battery warrantied?
I really didn't learn anything from this video, it would have been more helpful to hear more about how the scooters perform and how they stand up over time
I got the pro. Lovin it
Can you change it from mph to km?
Yes. In the app you can.
i have the s2 and I am 120lb 5’6 and I can go full speed easily
You said you're 225 pounds. I know the specs say the weight limit is 220. I guess you can go over their limit, but i wonder by how much.
I’ve had people ride it as much as 275. I’m sure it takes more battery life with more weight.
I got my S2 Pro from HiBoy for $380 plus tax with free shipping. Can't argue.
How long does the s2 last before it dies
17 mikes
@@DIYReidI think my battery is giving out way quicker. Could it be because my weight? I’m 205.
@marcellusrobinson1465 what do you mean way quicker?
@@DIYReid it’s only lasting a little under a hour

Can a 4"8 10 year old ride the s2
Yes. My nephew and niece have ridden it and they are about that tall.
check local laws, most states require kids to be 16+ ... I know they don't seemed enforced though
Can that height ride the max pro? @@DIYReid
Not sure. I’m assuming the handle bar height is very similar.
Surprisingly I go 20 mph on my s2 and am 6’0 140 15
