↓ LYRICS ↓
Once upon a time
Science opened up the door
We would feed the hungry fields
Till they couldn't eat no more
But the potions that we made
Touched the creatures down below
And they grew up in a way
That we'd never seen before
Supernature, supernature
Supernature, supernature
Supernature, supernature
Supernature, supernature
They were angry with the man
'Cause he changed their way of life
And they take their sweet revenge
As they trample through the night
For a hundred miles or more
You can hear the people cry
But there's nothing you can do
Even God is on their side
Supernature, supernature
Supernature, supernature
Supernature, supernature
Supernature, supernature
How can I explain?
Things are different today
Darkness all around
And nobody makes a sound
Such a sad affair
No one seems to care
Supernature, better watch out!
Look at you now, better watch out!
Look at you now!
Supernature
Watch out
There's no way to stop it now
You can't escape, it's too late
Look what you've done:
There's no place that you can run
The monsters made, we must pray
Supernature, better watch out!
Look at you now!
Supernature, better watch out!
Supernature!
Look at you now!
Better watch out
There's no way to stop it now
You can't escape, it's too late
Look what you've done
There's no place that you can run
The monster's made, we must pray
Maybe nature has a plan
To control the ways of man
He must start from scratch again
Many battles he must win
Till he earns his place on earth
Like the other creatures do
Will there be a happy end?
Now that all depends on you

In 1978 i was 17 & i'm now 62years old..It still sounds great 45 years later on.
Stessa età
I’m 59 now, 60 in April, still going, 👍 😃 how I’m still alive, after three heart attacks, a bleed to the brain, was recovering from that then was hit with bacterial meningitis all at the same time, I’ll never know how I survived all that, was a fast one, glad I’m my age now though and I’m still kicking thank god 🙏🏻
Agreed on the years , same age here , I’ll be 63 April 2024 ! I want to go back 😅
И мне 62😂
im born in 1975....48 today... i love this song.
If you're listening to this golden oldie, I consider you a friend :)
We gotta bring these vibes back
Awesome tune! I never get tired of this track!
hello friend
Gracias friendo.......
Thank you, i am in need !
This track and I Feel Love were way ahead of their time and are indeed timeless
I agree, you can play both songs in a club and everyone would run to the dancefloor, both hypnotic masterpieces.
Defintely right !! Timeless flawless and unique !!💎💙💎💙
You’re right 👌
Amen to that.
100%
Cerrone man, WHAT a gem that could play a mean synthesizer, he’s most certainly NOT the normal disco artist… While he’s much more known in the USA for his more mainstream soul based disco music, he’s had a HELL of a much bigger impact with his more synth driven disco songs, such as his signature song, the one and only Supernature… His albums are dynamic too, rotating frequently from synth and soul so people on both types of disco can listen time and time again! Cerrone, you are a real one!
Heureux de posséder cet album magnifique . Surpris qu'il soit présent pour les J O. Cerrone, précurseur de la musique electro. 🙏
Supris? C'est génial, non?
@@TheGreatGuigui32 bien sur que oui s'est génial, mais je suis surpris.🙏
Late summer 1978. I was 8 and I really loved it! Now I love it even more!
I was about 6 and I think I vaguely remember this song because when I heard again just yesterday it triggered some weird nostalgia or sense of dejavu
Similar to Kraftwerk.
I was probably 1 month old by then. Never heard of this before. Just found it via an old episode of the Kenny Everett show 👍
@@Housephonestimes4 - not even remotely close to Kraftwerk. lmao
I was 7months old... Just awoke on the sofa with this playing on the TV music channel.. Like others people it fired me up... Like a war cry or something.. Must have heard it play when I was still in the womb - 💕💕💕💕
No. 1 U.S. Dance Hit in 1978, but surprisingly stalled at just No. 70 on the actual Hot 100. Great song. Love this one!
Way ahead of its time.... 2020 who is listening to this classic ?
Heard it on that movie An Evening With Beverly Luff Linn and fell in love with it. It kinda reminds me of the Coast To Coast AM theme song, like, it reminds me of it a lot.
Moi !
And why not! Timeless!!!
@@warrenfinch8034 Yes! SUPER-NATURE !
Me, for the last 43 years...
Classic song.
Will never hear music this good again.
This is an amazing track for its time. Considered underground disco.
Well thank Lene Lovich, first thing she ever wrote, though uncredited. Her rock version is even better.
Love this song shame it doesn’t get played on the radio much nowadays 😢
djs still spin it , always hear it in cool gay bars in the east village nyc
Marc Cerrone, tu peux pas test. Ce qu'il a fait en son temps est juste incroyable.
One of the best disco records ever made, next to Donna Summer's I Feel Love.
X E. Born.
I absolutely agree ❤️
Couldn't have said it better or agreed more.
@@markjoshua62 agreed!
Georgia moroder, chase up there with the best aswell in my opinion
Unbelievable tune. Way ahead of its time.
My father died on February 20th, 2020 of cancer at the age of 63 and I have a lot of records from him and Cerrone 3 Supernature is a masterpiece that connects us beyond death. music can do that ♥
Supernature is not wean my cher Thomas indestructible c'est la vie....!
My deepest condolences Thomas. 😔
Sorry for your loss.
My word your dad had this amazing record in his collection.
Cool dad.
Thomas Huber if he is you're father shout out to you for being born from him a musician that I thought I wouldn't like
I'm 59yrs old my sister was into his music and as I was , he had fantastic music, and of this day I love hearing his 🎶 music
Jesus Christ I've been searching for this song for 27 years... finally i can listen to it!
When I first bought the album when it first came out 43 years ago I never thought that it would be so relevant in 2021 even more so today. Strange times we are living in. It's not nice to mess with Mother Nature ❤🙏❤
Nature, to be commanded, must be obeyed.
You will eat the bugs and live in the pod, while the big boys drive their Rolls in the desert for fun 😎 But for real, the message is indeed as strong as ever now and most probably even more in the decades to unfold.
If we'd inadvertently create a mutant species that adapted to live and thrive off human pollution,it'd definitely be so.
Damn right!
This song is literally just as good as anything coming out. Amazing.
Remember hearing this from back in the day, and as much as it pains me to say, I'd forgotten it and rediscovered it again, absolutely brilliant!
Unforgettable song with a perfect melody.. such a wonderful song !! Love dancing it !!!
SAME
What an absolute belter of a TOOOON.
Probably one of the best I've heard this year...
I'm looking for the one it's remix and adapted songs really good, how are you?
My Hot Woman 😢 I want you and your sweet ❤️ 😂 I am not going out with you
Сколько лет уже слушаю и не надоедает ..!!!этот хит на века!!!
I've never heard this song before today, it is amazing and way ahead of it's time - now added to my playlist!
Still amazing.... Even after 43 Years. Pure Genius and even without modern-day technology. Today a lot of technology and no talent.
It’s out there, go find it.
Boomer points gained 1000...
It was modern technology digital mixing, René Steichen, RTLuxembourg ;)
Is true
@@Zincink No, it should find us. And it ain't out there, there is nothing but a perpetual dead zone.
Le meilleur du disco des années 1977 ! Tout est parfait dans cette musique géniale ! Du très , très grand Cerrone au sommet de son art de compositeur et interprète !
One of the best disco songs in the 70s.
True words
Absolutely!! I used to confuse him to Giorgio Moroder, his song from Here To Eternity was the genre genre. Just fantastic!!!!!
Absolute banger ! Even now ! Just listen to it !
wish they made music like this today...TIMELESS. I vibe out EVERYTIME!
Superb .Amazing ,incredible song from 1978 .remember it Really well .
Les seventies sont les meilleures années musicales
We are not looking for old songs, we are looking for the old memories they hold
No we are looking for old songs besides the memories, todays music can never compare
@@daveg3887today's music sucks ..... everyone going ga-ga over Taylor Swift and hip hop crap SMH 😅😅😅
Wow they were well ahead of the times with this song! Love it!
As a teenager used to really look forward to this track when the top 40 was being played on Radio 1 back in 1978. Loved it then still love it. An all time classic.
Forgot all about this gem. I was watching reruns of The Kenny Everett Video Show last night. It featured twice, once with Hot Gossip dancing to it, and the play out at the end of the show . So good.
COLLECTOR !!! ... FRENCH TOUCH BABY !!! ... BIG RESPECT !!! ... DISCO FOREVER ...
i was a punk in the late 70s but couldn't ignore this stuff. brilliant! reminds me of the kenny everett tv show, genius.
What makes this song even more amazing is that Cerrone himself is playing that drum track. Nowadays that beat would be coming from a machine, or computer.
One could argue it's an inconvenience. Why play it when a machine does it perfectly?
@@kyachdistent1301 Depends on your definition of perfect.
@@HoratioFitzbastard No it really doesn't. His is OK but the original artist realised it better.
@@kyachdistent1301 Cerrone is the original artist.

Oh my goodness .Great tune I remember like it was released ,and in the charts ,a couple a week's ago .Pure euro pop at its most brilliant
Le meilleur il a était connu au États-Unis avant d'être connu en France 😮😢🎉
Many years ago France was the leading force in Euro-Disco music.Cerrone was the most talented and famous french disco artist , ''Supernature'' is a brilliant electro-disco, a true classic. Number 1 in US disco charts along with ''Give Me Love'' and ''Love Is Here'',number 8 in Uk ,#70 in US hot 100 and #72 in US r&b charts.Turn down the lights, turn up the amp and enjoy...
Amazing Disco track and an inspiration for the house revolution to come
This glitzy track still sounds like the future!
More than the melody, more then the theme, this song is more than that because of it's incredible mood.
Eric bring anyone else here ?
Haha, I just added it to a Spotify playlist then Eric told me to come here next..
We looked online and here we are! Thanks to Eric !
My first thought was Moloko/Roisin Murphy lol.
Yep- song brought back memories, couldn’t remember seeing a video of it
Yes but I think this isn’t the version they play on Eric - think it’s the long version which has more of an electronic feel - here: ruclips.net/video/0BwcI1O-EHQ/видео.htmlsi=ICgwI-o28CCI7Tr7
I was a child when I first heard this and loved it. It doesn't change.
Nice disturbing video too.
Perfect
Just looked this one up after watching Hot Gossip on Kenny Everett Video Show - still catchy in 2022 and reminds me of Dad and me watching it on tv when we only had 3 channels 😀
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I saw this clip once when I was around ten years old and I was fascinated by the theme ("the island of Doctor Moreau") from the same era, and especially by the music. I found the LP much later and I recognized this clip. I am still so fascinated today.
Such a great musician. Could dance for hours to this. Thanks so much
Found the album at a flea market, hooked ever since 😍 It’s got Give Me Love too. Merci Cerrone pour ta contribution au disco! Grand class!
People need to understand and recognise how current this song is….
Reflections of todays world!
I m absolutely agree... Musician are often prophets . Yesterday morr than today
I remember both these tracks growing up. I have often thought that this and Hazel O'Connor's 'Eighth Day' are somehow two sides of the same coin, different takes on the same scenario... this talking about how humans harming our planet and nature will be our downfall, the other about how our reliance on electronics and computers will be our downfall ! x
Love that Rolls Royce on an offroad. It was ridiculous back then and is now. I heard Cerrone saying that buying it at the very start of his international career was a regretable mistake in regards of spending, but I see from his recent videos that guy is still doing good. He is certainly well situated and he deserves it. Good legacy of musical compositions and nice personality.

Peace!
This song bought me so much Happiness mainly from "The Kenny Everett video show"... Good times
Haha, that's me, just been watching the re-runs of Kenny Everett. I thought I was Scissors Sisters but it was on a show recorded in 1979 when I was 9, so not them 😯. What a total tune 👌
This amazing track is my NO1 of all time.GOAT!
Techno in 1977... Cerrone: The Best!!!!
*ESSA MÚSICA É ENIGMÁTICA E TALVEZ EXPRESSA ALGUMA VERDADE ESCONDIDA DA HUMANIDADE. ISSO EM 1977. CERRONE É UM VISIONÁRIO.*
Amazing music, best disco that i have ever listened. Its vintage bassline is amazing.Pls one song more like this
Disco music the father of all night club music 🕺🏻
Thanks TK Maxx for bringing this back.
Huh I just heard this in a Vince Clark set. Great song! I especially love the basslines from the late 70s
Who's listening from lockdown now? From Italy, so hard here.. Let music help me and the lyrics are quite prophetical
I hope you are okay. I’ve always relied on music to get me through the hardest times. Much Cerrone lockdown love to you from California 💕
@@starryeyedtarot8876 Disco in lockdown 😏 Actually from yesterday we entered step 2 in Italy. Restrictions started to loose, infections are falling significally.. Much love to you, hope you're ok there. 😘
A DD That is excellent to hear, love!!! Where are you in Italy, if you don’t mind me asking? I traveled a lot there as a teen/in my 20’s...such good memories!!
I live in a town just north of San Francisco in Marin County, and our city went into partial re-opening yesterday. We’ve really been good about flattening the curve, shockingly, given the amount of homeless individuals throughout not just the SF Bay Area, but the entire state of California in general. While I just CANNOT with my president (and as much as I HATE calling him that, I’m still a US citizen so...ugh...I miss Obama), I’m really happy with how Governor Newsome has handled everything. He *really* stepped up to the plate amazingly.
I just don’t know how this country will recover...I’m blessed to have been born in England to an Irish father, so I have 3 passports. I had been spending a lot of time in Europe last year and, scarily, right up until January 31st when I flew back to San Francisco from Berlin. I saw ONE ☝🏻 basic sized sheet of paper posted in the SUPER OVERCROWDED line for security screening at the airport in Newark where I transferred, JUST ONE. My partner picked me up from SFO that night and asked me if they had mandatorily taken my temperature when I got off of the plane...I had no clue what the hell he was talking about, other than that one sheet of paper on January 31st at one of the most crowded airports in the country. I’m still in shock at how badly this got in such a short amount of time.
I pray for your country every night...I have a little list. Let disco guide us through this dark night of the soul 💃🏻!!!
@@starryeyedtarot8876 I 'm from Rome, have a house there and work, but long ago I decided to live in a small town called Tarquinia, my heaven on earth. Anyway all that happened so fast and so big I think we still don' t realize the whole picture, we're shocked. Here is really tough now for People losing their Jobs, and I'm scared of the bad bad politicians that are going to lucrate from this tragedy here. Our actual government is really good, they managed all in the best possible way, but it's a temporary government, and extremists are rising and well accepted by scared People. So happy to hear the situation is so under control in your area 😍
I pray God restore normalcy, u all safe !
The beat is one of the greatest of all time of any genre of music,Never gets old!
J'adore.. et vive le 94, mon Val de Marne adoré (immatriculation de la caisse) 🌟🌟🌟
This looks and sounds like a modern production in many ways. I think it’s great.
Yes and no. Everything forever modern is brilliant and timeless, yet everything now-the so-called modern age, is shit.
It just randomly appeared in my brain! Strange- used to love dancing to it back in the day. Nice to know there are others out there who still love it.
1978 what a year for music!! Charts then were so diverse!!!

Lene Lovich wrote this, as well as 'Give Me Love' and 'Love Is Here.'
What a classic tune. Never gets any airplay. Especially with all the dross that gets played now
The special thing of Super Nature is not that it is a cool late 70s disco track but it's got this mysterious touch.
Eye of the tiger 80's your crazy, were you there , because I was and it was a major hit
@@freddiedejoint9932 He's not saying bad things about the song, actually, he's saying is cool and mysterious. And I agree.
Always liked this song since I first heard in the '90s----first time seeing this video though.
Well if it didn't have those lyrics, it would be rather weak. 70s disco wasn't known for lyrical finesse, never mind darkness and worse.
I only found out about this song in 1998, fantastique! C’est magnifique!
Love this song sweet memories 💟
I'm normally not in to 70's stuff, but this is a tune

Oh man 70s was a hell of a decade for music. You should look into Lonnie Smith - It's changed, look into Keith Mansfield (that guy is a MAD MAN). Grant Green and Hubert Laws - Creature, Ryo Kawawasaki -Hawaiian Caravan (Another man way ahead of his time. Check out Julius Brockington. Pool Pah - Sour Soul. Anything from Supertramp, Fleetwood Mac - Hypnotized. Brian Bennett - Solstice, Chakachas - Stories.
Then of course the bigs, Grateful Dead, Credence Clearwater Revival, Steely Dan, ZZ TOP, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Heart, Foreigner, well you get the idea.
An awesome Eurodisco song with excellent lyrics!
