i am unable to find set rcs flag option in activity launcher realme x2 pro Android 10

Thank you for this. I had this on my previous samsung note 10 but updated to note 20 ultra (love it) and download messager by Google but I didn't have RCS. Looked at this video and realized that I didn't have the carrier services installed on my phone. Downloaded it and it can Immediately thanks so much

@@parthoomphy7214 I've reset my phone a couple of days ago and I'm on latest beta too. Let's see hows the battery now and I've also installed accubattery before when I reset. I thought it would drain my battery a lot. Should I install it anyway now?? After resetting?
Karan Preet it doesn't drain your battery like other similar battery apps. You can check in settings about its battery consumption. It's a nice app to know exactly what tour battery performance and health status is.
I am really confused because when I opened the launcher it never showed a rcs option for me
I opened it launcher and I didn't see RCS
I also followed the instructions perfectly on my note 9 and there are no rcs options

So I have the S10+ with AT&T. I followed the steps and it works good. The only thing was after I did all the steps and you go to settings in the messages app. On the top where it says, “ status ” it was connecting. To the right of that it said Retry. So when I hit retry it's asked me to put my number in and it took about 1 minute, and it changed from connecting to connected. Thanks Saki

@@7295shane I'm pretty sure it has been active on Telstra for over a year. I had it before I switched to Optus on a Pixel 2XL without having to do any trickery.

First of all why is it necessary to download the launcher and do all those other steps??? And second, this dude literally had the RCS letters in front of him and still got them wrong!

Thanks for putting this video together. I was trying to use this but I could not get put the chat features settings. Joining the beta program worked. I did not install the activity launcher, works so far on T-Mobile.
Same here. Join beta program, chat enabled like every other phone. Still preferred an official update though
@@arjl880, for some reason my chat features went back to "carrier does not support..", I had to clear the storage & cache again. Yes, an official update would be good.

Note 10+ with Verizon. Worked instantly. But do have a question-whats the process if I want to go back to before these steps? Just delete the downloaded apps ? What's that look like or will it cause problems? The little warning when adding that one app made me a bit nervous
Thanks Saki. The only thing my phone didn't let me do was the Flag RCS direction from the Activity Launcher. Everything else seemed to work and I even got the same messages at the end saying chat features were upgraded. Should I be concerned?

Can you do a iMessage vs Google Messages, I’m debating on changing over to Android but I’ve yet to see a video of a full comparison of the both
Here's a work around. Download messages beta from December 3rd or prior. Should be version 5.3 or so. And follow the same steps. The beauty of this is you're still able to update to the latest version after you got the hack working and it doesn't break.
Its work now. But it will gone the RCS? if we uninstall activity launcher?

Download an earlier version of messages up from apk mirror. December 4th and sooner works. The beauty here is you can still update the app after

Open up the activity launcher click on google messages but when I scroll down the list didn't see RCS flags
After I update messages, set RCS flags no longer appears in activity launcher. I tried without updating it, it shows but does nothing
I went through this process with my Note 10+ on AT&T and got it to turn on, but as soon as I sent a message it seems to clear itself out and I need to set up again. Thoughts?
Samsung messages also has RCS..but I would like to know which one does everybody prefer?

Yea same just get the messages app by Google and then it will come w an update. I didn't have to Update anything.

There’s an extra step needed for Note10+ in Singapore where the carrier needs to verify the phone number for dual sim enabled
When I got to the 'set rcs flag' portion, the 'pattern' option never sets. I go back in and it's in the default setting. And I guess that's why when I open the 'messages' app chat settings said it's unavailable. Probably doesn't help that I have a Samsung S8+. But I saved your video for my next phone upgrade to add this eventually.

RCS flags isn't there
Everything is okay with me I followed all your steps but the only problem is when the app asking me for verification after I put my phone number I didn't receive any code with 6 digit

With my note 10+, plus I simply downloaded the program and it sent me to all of the proper parameters. I did not have to go through all of the details. At the end it showed it is properly connected

Do you need wifi to send messages using the rcs?
Google already announced that all US users with the Message app will have this feature installed soon and it's already rolling out to several devices. No need to do all of these extra steps. Just download the latest version of the app and turn on the feature. Bam. Just that easy it's done.

Whats the use of an sms app when they cant seperate spam messages and normal messages like an inbox...supersms is just incredible and it saves me a lot of time instead of me looking at spam and deleting them every time...i think google should implement this feature

If you have a Stylo phone from boost Mobile you automatically come with rcs messaging and not LG default messages!

Mine works but says it's setting up the connection but never does. Google pixel 4xl att.
Will - same phone, same result. Instructions forgot the step of turning off WiFi. Once that's done, go through the steps again (don't reinstall anything) and it'll work.

The telco must offer RCS. Most do nowadays

The RCS settings are not there in the app. Is it possible that the new OPPO A9 (2020) with Android 9 doesn't support it?

Clear the cache from carrier services and messages again then force stop messages. It worked for me!
i use public mobile canada. it doesnt work on my s8. tried following your instruction but if i click set RCS flag a message comes up saying Starting activity: com.google.android.apps.messaging/.ui.appsettings.rcs.overide.OverideFlagActivity and it doesnt take me there. i even downloaded an older messages version as suggested by some users and finally completed the steps but the chat features says its not available on my device. any idea how to fix this?

Dears, for all stuck on verify, install latest messages beta and it'll work.
Try to clear cache, data for Messages and reactivate it over cellular connection.
I had to do a re-start after pretty much every step to get it to work...
