you probably dont give a shit but if you are bored like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend recently xD
You obviously haven't heard Pat Martino's version. Dont get me wrong this is great but you really can't top Pat Martino. ruclips.net/video/noVYh8JQ-Ho/видео.html&ab_channel=PatMartino-Topic
Awesome!!...I'm getting switched on to this gurlz playing!!!...It's great to see female jazz guitarists following in the footsteps of Emily Remler and yet playing in their own style too!!! My hat is also off to the rest of the band!!...Some lovely piano from Donald Vega!!! A+++
She's not a female jazz guitarist. She is a jazz guitarist, who just happens to be a women. And because she's a women it does not mean just because the fact that Emily Remler is a women, it does not mean that jazz guitarist who happen to be women follow in the footsteps of Emily Remler. Other than that she plays amazing.
I honestly don't agree with this. Well, GB picking technique (at least coined to him) is evident to see, and also has a dramatic impact on the wholeness of the tone..many jazz guitar players favor this style. Although Martino is huge and there is a dramatic influence in lots of players, I think you're not deeply listening to Sheryl's version. When you listen Along Came Betty you're still associating it to Pat's version, great version too, therefore the bias. But I think without any comparison this is very authentic tone and playfulness. I love the eloquence of the lines, moving shapes and the sudden comping too. She is great and really rocks! In my opinion, it sounds like Her. That's all. Best
@@Delalumiere666 Nah, her solo was definitely heavily influenced by Pat Martino. Not a single doubt about it, as I'm trying to learn Pat Martino's style myself, and have listened to him over 1,000 times. She consistently plays lines in his style throughout her solo
oh man you're right! I mean wrong: it's Sheryl Bailey's picking technique, Sheryl Bailey's lines, wTF is a woman's touch are you from the 40s???. Magical is the only part you got on point there peace
Aw man, this stupid time limit!!! I really wanted to hear the ending, but I'm sure it was quite well done. Nice groove, band, and playing Ms Bailey. Thoroughly enjoyable. :)
The Sheryl Bailey 3 DVD was VERY nice. God I wish there were more players like her in my area! Anyway, I don't think this performance is available on a DVD (to answer my own question, thought I searched for a while to try and find it). Good ole' Amazon came through on the Sheryl Bailey 3 DVD.
If it's possibe to improve an already great player ,you are sounding the best I ever heard you play- this is by far the most creative and outstanding work I have ever heard from you-- RS
this the the most flating solo I herd. this Mike Stern is not a wizzard or pat metheyeney has probely pat Martino as his main source. took mee 30 yerars to admit that this is my only reason to burn all brigdes and go for it. i bought a Emely Remler record wich went all day for years. But in the end, it sould be elecrical bass, and so. this musican chanched eveything about me and the guitar.
SUPERB guitarist. The piano solo is out of this world. WOW
Awesome
Superb! Great feel and timing. I didn't hear her play the same thing twice, very fresh creative improvisation.

Excellent playing! Lots of ideas, beautifully executed. I love the occasional chordal interjections.
I agree...this is an excellent example of tasteful playing...and the rhythm section likewise ... provides beautiful support.
This is just beautiful Miss Bailey.
On top go being a great musician she is also very humble and a nice person!
It's Benson's picking technique with Pat Martino's lines, WITH A WOMEN'S TOUCH=totally magical. You rock.
callouscallus yes i agree!
I honestly don't agree with this.

@kungfuaxe Great solo! Your sense of timing is impeccable! Any pointers that you wish to share?
God, why did I never learn to play with a pick?
Interesting choice of tempo - rather faster than usual. Very nice playing.
Is this available on DVD, kungfuaxe? Thanks for posting.
Since I heard its Carenia coposition, I'm Attonished!
amazing where can I buy her music lol
Awesome. How do I get lessons from her?
Too short!! Why did it have to end so abruptly? They really milked out all the nuances.
kungfuguy - please let us know the names of the bass player and whacker! They deserve some love too.
truth
David Enos on double bass
Steve Barnes on drums.

@diz52nd
You should try a Guild X500...
Fine, but I'm not hearing much of Along Came Betty.
Nice tone. That's why people play 335's.
Sounds like Wes on a good day without being derivative...if you know what I mean.
dy/dx ?
@@koalabear4964 No no, I think he meant without her being derivative, as in stealing his style
Sounds great! Pat-ism's (Metheny); even has similar right hand tech; I dig it! Great tune!!
I think it's George Benson's picking
