    Killer cassette collection Steve. It’s awesome that you still have those cassettes for so many years. A lot of people get rid of them especially when CDs became a thing of the 90s. Cheers my friend

    Dangerous Toys: the singer is Jason McMaster (also of Watchtower). The debut was 1989, that sophomore album Hellacious Acres was 1991

    The Years of Decay is still my all time favorite Overkill album. Gustafson's guitar work was just killer to me. I love their new stuff too, but they lost some magic after this album when he left. Great video.

    • @stevesekora
      @stevesekora  2 месяца назад

      I agree with that. The Years of Decay is a beast. I like the new stuff as well but it does not compare to the 80s stuff or Horrorscope. Thank you for watching.

      @stevesekora  2 месяца назад

      That is killer, I had that Beyond The Gates on cassette originally but only have it on wax. Hallows Eve I didn't know about until the 90s so mine is a 2nd press.

    I used to have the first three Black n Blue albums. Their second album, Without Love, is one of my favourites in the melodic hard rock / glam metal genre. But it’s produced by Bruce Fairbairn, so very polished and professional.

    Trick Or Treat is a frigging classic! I am so annoyed that "Trick 'R Treat" got popular; while it is a good movie, I hate having to specify which movie I am talking about. I wish I still had my "Behold the Beginning" cassette...I'm pretty sure there are different mixes on there and I would like to compare. Cool trip down memory lane, cheers Steve!

    I’ve never seen that Seventh Star cover. My cassette had Iommi standing there in black. It was supposed to be a solo album but the label wanted another Black Sabbath album.
    So Far, So Good… So What? is a really good album!
    I have that Anthrax B-Side! Some funny stuff on there.
    Your collection is quite similar to mine. But I sold all my metal cassettes to a girlfriend’s brother around 1991.

    • @stevesekora

      @@stevesekora I’ve often thought after seeing tornado damage, “How many album collections, baseball card collections, comic collections, etc. just got thrown all over Oklahoma?” You were hit by the Joplin tornado? Aw, man. Words cannot express how badly that sucks.

    I saw Trick or Treat in the theater back then.
    I had that Dangerous Toys album. I remember the lyrics, “Sportin’ a woody / when you’re walkin’ by / Sportin’ a woody / When I see your titties fly”. Hilarious!
    My friend was really into Keel.
    Ray Gillan. Yeah, I had Eternal Idol on cassette. But I’ve never felt like getting it on CD. I should listen to that title track though.

      That's right! Ray Gillan from Badlands. The title track on that album is spectacular.
