“Am I even relevant? That depends how you measure it. Take a measurement then bag it up and give me the evidence.” To me, it refers to his slow and steady exposure to the main stream. Yes, he has a ton of fans, but not a lot of “big name” artists know who he is. He’s relevant to those who know who he is.
did you notice that twice he popped a balloon? the bars immediately before the balloon pop was something he had struggled with and had changed so popping the balloon was symbolic of him overcoming.
We here! The album is called, "The Search." Nate is searching to find his true self and answers to his mental health struggles from childhood trauma. We originally found out a little about the black balloons when NF released the single before this track, "Why" (the same video with him sitting on the bench at the end). However, this track was confirmation for the fans that the black balloons do represent his burdens. The cage in the background was in the "Perception" album on the "Outcast" track. You got that right. The shopping cart represents his mental prison, an extension of the cage he opened the door to with the keys to his mind in "Outcast." He's mobile now, but still carries his burdens in his mind (shopping cart mental prison with burdens attached). I believe this was filmed in Iceland or New Zealand. The vast desolation of the landscape and the dark grading of the video also represents the landscape of NF's mind; dark and vast to overcome. The people in white will come into play in the next video, "Leave Me Alone." I'll give you my take in that when you drop that video next. Good job man!
I was about to go into detail about everything. Lol I just found donvon over the weekend (new sub here) NF is seriously my hero. His music has saved my life and it's something I can listen to with my kids. He's amazing and a damn genius. So inspiring. I love how his videos and music all come together like a puzzle. @DonVon keep em coming Bro!
Also, notice how he says “it’s probably gonna be a long journey, but hey, it’s worth it though.” I believe this refers to the NF journey that you and many others have taken. And it’s always worth it.
“i can be critical, never typical, intricate with every syllable, i’m a criminal, intimate but never political, pretty visual, even if you hate it i make you feel like you in it though, you call me what you want, but never call me forgettable, leave you deep in thought i could never swim in the kiddy pool, wait that i been thinking that cinematic is beautiful MAN I DONT KNOW IF IM MAKIN MOVIES OR MUSIC VIDEOS” bro’s LITERALLY making movies fr. fav artist of all time
@@Mr.DerekReese it would make sense but they don't sound that similar they don't even have the same number of syllables, he also got a few other words wrong, he saw it for what he wanted it to be and not for what it was, he even acknowledged the fact he might be wrong but stuck with it anyway because he liked it better, I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, he just could have listened a to the lyrics a bit more
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥....this was 1st song I ever heard NF on, while watching a Knox Hill reaction. Jaw dropped, went and listed to more of his music, and an hour later, owned his discography. Song pure FLAMEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the pure genius of NF. All songs tie together and same with the videos....the lyrics are real, relevant, intelligent, and helpful...they artistically give therapy and entertain all the while keeping it real. The videos are cinatic genius with no wasted moment or visual. Pure genius.
I am so f****** excited that you have made it to this leg of the journey. Get ready to have your mind blown song after song. By far this is my favorite album of all time. I don't think there's a song that should be skipped on it! Let's f****** go
Isn't it crazy when you look at the imagery and lyrics within in his song, the burdens are balloons and not actually in the cart that he drives. The burdens that he stresses about are light enough to fly away but its hard for him to cut the line because of thoughts in your head or situations in his life. 100% the type of artist that keeps his heart transparent and on his sleeve for the world to see. We can all relate to this, our burdens are easy to get rid of, but at the same time they are not that easy to get rid of because we have to fight against ourselves to find the strength to release them.
This video was filmed in Iceland! That's pretty awesome! Also, I saw him in concert last Sept and this song was so lit! Hell, the whole concert was badass!
This song, video, delivery, and bars are a masterpiece. And you know what? This song and story continue on the next song Leave Me Alone. And it might be an even better song believe it or not. The whole album is a piece of art.
out of all the lyricists, i am so glad i found NF, i cant wait for the next album he releases. If the search blew your mind wait til you hear the mixtape next
You may notice this song along with Clouds has many of the same characteristics of the Intro's because they are. Nate has said all the Intro s are still in each album but he stopped calling them Intros. All of the Intro s do not have chorus, and have orchestrational movie beats, hard beat drops, and haunting choirs which are all part of The Search, Clouds, and all 3 previous Intros.
Yeah, the sales can rise Doesn't mean much though when your health declines See, we've all got somethin' that we trapped inside That we try to suffocate, you know, hopin' it dies Try to hold it underwater but it always survives Then it comes up out of nowhere like an evil surprise Then it hovers over you to tell you millions of lies You don't relate to that? Must not be as crazy as I am The point I'm makin' is the mind is a powerful place And what you feed it can affect you in a powerful way. He's the BEST EVER! SO RELATABLE!
Everyone usually reacts to this song 1st but this is really something you need to eat the listen to later on in the journey or come back and revisit because like you Ve caught on it's all correlating back to everything that hes said. I hopped on the nf train with this song but I can't imagine the hype of being an OG fan listening to this when it first dropped
The reason he said, “Call me what u wanna but never called me forgettable” is cuz he saw a highly viewed video of college students reacting to him and one of them called him forgettable. And I’m pretty sure this was after his most popular song, “Let You Down”, had already come out.
This is his intro song to search album. He does an intro to each album. Like clouds is for clouds mixtape. (I know you already know some of this) He said the album is done being written. He teased a hint on his new merch today! Each intro will always have no hooks and heavy orchestral sounds to it. He hides eggs in almost all videos. This was filmed in iceland. He co directs and co produces his videos. He is walking away from cage from outcast single which represents his mind. The cart is a more portable version to me. Balloons are his burdens. The cart and balloons were introduced in why single a year before this came out. Leave me alone connects to this. He paid homage to Kanye West in this too. From kanyes cant tell me nothing song and he put his hands on his head like kanye did in that video. We assume that is his mom who passed on swing from his how could you leave us single .
So many reactors get introduced to NF with this song...which sux. Real glad you got to go through the journey before this track...it just hits different!!
9:10 "I can be critical, never typical Intricate with every syllable, I'm a criminal Intimate, but never political, pretty visual Even if you hate it, I'll make it feel like you're in it, though You call me what you wanna, but never call me forgettable Leave you deep in thought, I could never swim in the kiddie pool Way that I been thinkin' is cinematic, it's beautiful Man, I don't know if I'm makin' movies or music videos." So you can really appreciate what he said there. 15:40 At the start of the song he says he's leaving his burdens behind. Then he says well I'm keeping a few. Then into frame came all white dressed "people" holding 1 or 2 balloons while he's in all back. Then as he's walking along he comes to a bench swing. As you pointed out that's from a past video where he sat alone. When he came to that swing he took some of his balloons and gave it to the "person" in all white. In my opinion these were representations of who he used to be and him leaving behind those burdens with his "past" self. I believe adding that bench swing scene was purely to bring a physical representation of that along with the music. Then at the end the guy walking up giving him the all white uniform. Imo was a to represent him leaving behind the burdens that he's "searching" for the answers to. This is all just my perspective on it. tho. :D.
(LA Leakers Ray Vaughn) is one reaction you should put on the top of your list.. The Bars won't stop and his energy is unmatched. Ray Vaughn is straight 🔥🔥🔥. I promise you won't be disappointed doing this reaction. PEACE ✌️....
The people in the white has long been discussed, with all kinds of interpretations. Welcome to the conversation! 🤣 #NF P.S. Filmed in Iceland. Nate wanted it at the windiest place on Earth.
I believe the vomit line is to go with Eminem. He is related I believe to Eminem. In Eminem's song "cleaning out my closet" one of his lines he talks about Nf. I love both of them and I love ur video ❤️
Bro this song still gives me chills. By far a banger. I recommend listening to nate and time. Both pretty deep but time is a little more up beat beat wise. Both are real deep though
You spoke more than the artist you're reacting to. You're other reactions didn't so let him roll dude. He spits bars and you can't stop the song on every one.
Someone probably said this but the ahopping carts may be in relation to moving through and iut if the system as a child and being transient.... Always mobile
“Am I even relevant? That depends how you measure it. Take a measurement then bag it up and give me the evidence.” To me, it refers to his slow and steady exposure to the main stream. 🫡 well done. Thank you
Well said👏
My favorite line is "I'm a gentleman, depending on the fact that you're genuine"
I'm a gentleman, depending on if I think you're genuine.

That's just where the name of the "journey" originated from. It was around this album that people started to catch on to nate specifically this song
“i can be critical, never typical, intricate with every syllable, i’m a criminal, intimate but never political, pretty visual, even if you hate it i make you feel like you in it though, you call me what you want, but never call me forgettable, leave you deep in thought i could never swim in the kiddy pool, wait that i been thinking that cinematic is beautiful MAN I DONT KNOW IF IM MAKIN MOVIES OR MUSIC VIDEOS” bro’s LITERALLY making movies fr. fav artist of all time
Bro thought he said killing ever sailable I'm a criminal 😂.
Yeah but honestly that would make sense. Killing = Criminal@@Young-mind.TheMillion

I still can’t believe I was chosen to be alive at the same time as NF. I believe this video was recorded in Iceland
It was Iceland

NF is a lyrical genius, one of the best lyricists of our time
The Search is fantastic song 🎶 and so is the album but NF is a true artist! Looking forward to seeing your react to this!

Can’t wait for “RETURNS”!!! One of the greatest songs
Love it!

'looking for the map to Hope' stands out now! Loved watching your NF journey 🔥
Did you catch the bar I'm looking for the map to hope 🙏🏻 NF Is the G.O.A.T

This is why you HAVE to go in ORDER! It ALL connects! 😏✌️❤️🔥🔥🔥🎶🎶🎶🎶💯🤗
Man you're really gonna love this album haha.
Awesome reaction! "Leave me alone" is the video that picks up from the Search.
The reason he said, “Call me what u wanna but never called me forgettable” is cuz he saw a highly viewed video of college students reacting to him and one of them called him forgettable. And I’m pretty sure this was after his most popular song, “Let You Down”, had already come out.
This is his best album 💿 but he has always 1 upped each album can’t even imagine the new one about to drop soon I hope
I'm ready! 🔥🔥🔥
The suit at the end will tell u what it kinda is in the song “Leave me alone” while everyone is wearing a white suit.
He says “had a taste of fame had to pump my stomach wipe off my face clean off my vomit”…..not about ‘Em about being famous.
This is the BIG one! The concept… the environment… the BARS! Let's GO!!
NF (Lyrical genius) + Tommee Profitt (Production) = Def Masterpiece Thanx so much, Peace
This is his intro song to search album. He does an intro to each album. Like clouds is for clouds mixtape. (I know you already know some of this)

I ran it back just like you my first time 😄 Wanted to soak up all the layers 😉❣️
Yes, The album is called The Search. Notice the cage in the background?? That is from his song OUTCAST, he left the cage and went on his SEARCH
Wait till you hear leave me alone
Great reaction! I think you'll enjoy the rest of The Search album and beyond.
Love the reaction🫶🏼. But I need me some RUN THAT BACK merch😮💨😮💨

Extremely thoughtful reaction.

People in back will make little more sense when u watch leave me alone which is like a part two to the search

Definitely one of the best reactions to this song!!!!
That’s huge! Thank you 🖤
Loved writing this album with Nate!

You got to do “leave me alone” next
You’ll get the answer to the people in white in video for “Leave me alone” song
Intricate with every syllable
You should listen to “Leave Me Alone” next. Tells a little more to his story.

You should listen to leave me alone next cos that shows why the people in the white are there
You should try Watsky next!

Someone probably said this but the ahopping carts may be in relation to moving through and iut if the system as a child and being transient.... Always mobile
People it is just rap music! There are more important things!
