My son and his GF went to France in April and loved it. They didn't want to go back to southern California where we all live. It's funny how you get use to the place you've lived all your life and don't realize it's a pretty nice place to live.

Marie, it sucks to see you have to leave America, but I understand that it has to happen at this point in your life. I was actually surprised to hear you say that you wouldn't want to actually live in the US and that you're only interested in visiting. I suppose that makes sense in a way, although it is my opinion that America would be better with you in it, and considering your love of living in the mountains, it would be a crime for you to return to the States and NOT visit Denver and Boulder, Colorado. The mountains in the Rockies aren't as big as the ones in the Alps, but they aren't bad either and certainly give you the same feeling. If you ever decide to visit Washington State, please do not hesitate to reach out to me about incredible places to see and experience. I no longer live there, but know that State like the back of my hand. Thank you for this awesome video series and I look forward to seeing where you find yourself next! Keep Smiling Marie!

A little late to the comments, I just discovered you with this video. I'm really proud that you had a great time at the Safari Park (that will be my next video). It's in my home town (Escondido, CA) and it's a huge mark of pride for us. The animals live such amazing lives in the absolutely beautiful enclosures. They have interactive family friendly exhibits. A must for anyone traveling in the San Diego area.

I really enjoyed following your adventures in my home town! 😀 San Diego is such a beautiful place with so much to do, we often take for granted just how much we have here, so it's good to see it from the perspective of a visitor to help us appreciate it a little more.
Should you find your way back here some day, a few things you might want to add to your list of things to see and do: Along the waterfront near downtown you should visit the Maritime Museum where they have on display a number of boats and ships (including US and Russian submarines!), with the star attraction being the "Star of India" tall ship... one of the oldest iron hull sailing ships still around and seaworthy. A little farther south, past the cruise ship terminal, is the USS Midway museum... a retired aircraft carrier with a lot of aircraft on display that once flew off its deck. Another favorite place is La Jolla Cove (especially the Ellen Browning Scripps Park area). With steep craggy cliffs, rock outcrops shaped by the surf, it's a great place to relax listening to the surf crashing on the cliffs, and watch a sunset. Quite a number of fine restaurants and bars around the area as well.
Watching the low flying jets coming into Lindbergh Field (one of the few major airports that's still located right next to the Downtown area) is something that always stuns visitors, but I guess in the course of my almost 72 years, I've become accustomed to it.

Hi Marie!!! I'm sorry I'm late again 😔! I have never taken so many notes on any video . . . yours just touched my heart the whole time ❤. Seaworld is a really interesting and fun visit (I love your hat and heart earrings 😊), and I have been in both San Diego and San Antonio 😊. It was a very nice day, and you showed the cool eels, the smooth fish you touched, and you passed the Chicken Snack Shack 😂and the Dolphin area on your way to the seals and Orca. I loved the signs "Journey to Atlantis" and "Wild Arctic" ! That white Beluga whale was soooo beautiful 🐳🐳 and fun to watch above and below water level 🤗. Then we saw the sleepy brown seal, the black one swimming, and the speckled one rotating in place 😮, followed by the HUGE walrus climbing up out of the water - WOW!! Mantas or Stingrays are SO fascinating too, among the big, different colored turtles 🐢(that was a cool view from beneath the swimming turtle) and the varied colorful schools of fish 🐟swimming by (so many kinds). I loved the stingray gliding, looking like it is flapping wings to propel itself! You caught that pretty pink floral display, and then I spotted a Marie coming up the steps with her cap 😅(I have to be careful in the sun too!). It's always fun to see the seals splash the audience and trainer, and to see the dolphin come out of the water for the trainer. There were some great dolphin jumps with pairs of threes, 8 jumping simultaneously in a semicircle (amazing teamwork timing) 🤗! I loved your "I want some fish too" by that cute bird watching! They even had that fun rotating ride as you passed by, and Ooooh that Cotton Candy 😍 and an $11 hot dog ⁉ I also loved your playful picture taking by the wooden penguins 😉😉. An octopus (so cool) and then the walk through dark but colorful corridors and seeing BIG sharks 🦈🦈 swim by overhead - fascinating to watch! And GOLIATH (Oh my goodness - simply WOW!). You caught a very cool spotted shark before Penguin Land, and the first penguin🐧 was performing quite a swimming motion 😄(they are so fast). Then the pretty black and white Cie, plus starfish on the wall underneath them - creatures one would hardly ever encounter! That bird had an interesting curved beak shape, and all the animals were watching the worker in blue and yellow - I think it would be fun to work there! I would never have seen the NEMO (Clown Fish) without your arrow - yes, they "are not easy to see." One seal was relaxing by the waterall while those other two had mouths wide open for food 😁. What was that bird with the long black beak and yellow talons?? You caught a great picture of the brown/white striped shark right before ORCA (Wow - So BIG!!) 🐋and I loved the cool curled fin on top of the cool black/white colored Orcas! You were at work creating Marie's amazing floral photography next 🥰🌷! Ha ha, the "In case you didn't see it" Black Mustang 😂. That was a huge cruise ship on the way to souvenir shopping (cool "Good Times Start Here" sign). And some wonderful captures of a Big Sailboat and another boat (schooner?), right behind which was a VERY LOW landing airplane amidst all those buildings ("I can't get used to it" - yes - scary)! King Crab had cool creatures in the net on the ceiling (like the swordfish), and I would love a Cajun Seafood Boil restaurant 😋where your dinner and drink looked delicious (I loved the "Sweet Staff, Great Food")! Awhhh, Marie, departure day was so awfully hard on you, you had trouble speaking as you truly looked SOOO freaking sad 😥😥, and then you said "actually let's hope the plane is canceled and I stay here" 😥😭with tears welling up and flowing, and then you said the beautiful day made you even sadder, and I started crying with you 😥😭. Your face was so sad as you said "I just don't want to go," and my heart just hurt for you Marie ❤😥. Your flight from S.D. through San Francisco with the LONG layover, and then almost 11 more hours to Paris was SO long, even with a good tail wind, especially when you were so sad and down 😔, you whispered "but it was great." Marie, you did not need the disaster that awaited you ("it was too much"), with the violent rioters inside your terminal 1, trying to get your luggage through the mess, and then having to run to the train, which you made only at the Final Doors Closing Whistle ("Wait for me!!)! They even canceled one train route, and I'm so glad your mom and brother were able to drive to the distant city to pick you up Marie (sweet friend, you did not need or deserve all that while you were deeply saddened and hurt so much inside 😥🙏), I am SO SORRY. You again wished you had stayed in the U.S. like the first trip. It would be hard to leave your family and move here anytime soon. I really loved your beautiful S.D. flower shirt - so perfect for you Marie 🥰🥰! (cool seeing more dolphins rotating here at the end) I truly loved your magical video work here again, Marie, and look forward to more about your thoughts on the U.S. trip and then Canada! Traveling is fun, but I agree, it comes with a price with things not so great about it. I so loved you got to see the fireworks two nights in a row at Bastille day time, and especially that you were with your family ❤. Thank you so much young lady for your amazing hard work to give these videos to us . . . I love 🥰 you and your work both, and I so hope and pray you will please take care of you Marie ❤🙏🥰❣

    Salut Sweet Marie 😃 🐬
Your making a splash showing all the amazing marine life there. The belugas allua , ferdinand & klondike are so warm hearted it's endearing how they like carrying objects , so friendly & curious just like the dolphins , with them coming from the arctic I'm guessing it isn't easy keeping them cool in the hot weather. I'm always pleased whenever you see a sea turtle , it's remarkable how big they can grow hopefully they'll eventually return them to the open seas. Was that really Nemo 🐠 I'm glad somebody found & rescued him from that dentists aquarium. The 🦈 sharks are sleek , they don't deserve their bad reputation they act on instinct , it isn't personal I blame jaws , I'll never forget that scene from jaws 3D with the great white coming out of the screen & that guy shooting a harpoon right up to my eyes. Liked the 🐧& seals with their whiskers they do kinda remind you of dogs & big cats they sure do like to play a lot , maybe when you'll go back you can feed the sea lions at fisherman's wharf. I wasn't expecting any puffins at seaworld , they remind me of my wild Scottish roots they've got small wings for diving & are nicknamed sea parrots & breed in burrows. I hope you visit the Scottish Highlands & picturesque islands one day , did you know Conner McCloud in the movie⚔️ was played by Chris Lambert a fellow Frenchie.
The dolphins & orcas 🐋 with their aero dynamics were breath taking , remarkably intelligent & eager to please makes you want to learn much more about them , there is a lot of controversy about keeping them there with what happened but I don't want to go into it here , you can look that up yourself with black fish etc , there has been news of orcas attacking boats off the Iberian coast , on a good note Lola after 50 years has been returned home to the sea.
King 🦀 looked like a cool hangout at it's yummy best 😋 , overall your California roadtrip been so much fun to watch along, with it's cityscapes, animals & beautiful beaches , it's enlightening coming from your french perspective. I know how it must feel having to leave somewhere your fond of & having to return home , you do seem happier living out of a suitcase , sorry you had to deal with all that trouble it'll make you stronger in the long run , good thing you've got a family that's there in your hour of need. I don't know if there's that many cities that don't have there share of issues right now, were all looking for a piece of heaven a sanctuary from the craziness , how does that song go when Tony sings to maria Somewhere there's a place for us from westside story , the seekers a world of our own also comes to mind. No matter how you feel just take a deep breath & picture yourself back at the beach & let your worries wash away with the sunrise & count your blessings & roll with the changes it's a beautiful world , you will always have friends that appreciate your kindness & generosity , don't unless its tears of joy, we love you for being true to yourself .
    Thanks Marie , like the cool t-shirt & hat , stay strong & have a wonderful weekend 😎 🌻🧡🖐️

Will await your Hawaii and Alaska show. For Alaska I suggest a cruise up the inland passage and then to Anchorage where you can see that side of Alaska.

Nice video Marie. I love SeaWorld ❤️ Did you get to feed the Stingrays or the Seals 🦭 Yes it's hard to leave somewhere when you're having a good time. Hopefully things calm down in France soon 🙏 Take care and stay safe 🙏 ❤️

Violent protesting is a terrible way to try and get people on your side. It never works and in the end it causes more problems for the ones you're protesting FOR not against. Anyway, I love that you love visiting my country. It's always fascinating to see it from the perspective of someone from another country. Hope you come again soon!

While I don't normally support violent protests, sometimes it is necessary. See: American Revolution, French Revolution etc.

@@Frog4Life207 Those weren't wars overnight, there was violent protesting before they turned into wars. The Boston Tea Party (even though it wasn't violent really) for an example. The protest near the Bastille in France etc.

Dear Marie, I'm so sorry to hear that you had another difficult return to France. I do remember all the troubles you had on your first return.
I hate to see you sad sweetie. I wanted to reach through the screen and give you a hug. I hope the memories of your trip will help boost your spirits. I must say that your underwater filming was some of your best yet.
Looking forward to more of your outstanding videos. If you're feeling down, remember how much joy you bring us.

I loved this whole series Marie. I could see the sadness in you having to head home but think of all the amazing times and things you got to experience. Next trip you should do the Southeast...North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida....etc. Always enjoy your videos dear. Stay safe and hugs from the USA!

Though you probably won't hit the Golden State again very soon, as our beautiful Country has so many wonderful States and areas, like France, do understand that the climate and geography of Southern Cal is very different from the Desert Area, the immense Central Valley (farmland...Hello!), the Central Coast, the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Bay Area and North Coast, and the hilly, wooded Northern Cal !!! So much diversity in one U.S. state !! It really is like a whole country rolled into one state. Glad you enjoyed a part of it, and come back any time !!!!
