Many of us are paying for stores, this is unacceptable. ebay is taking advantage of sellers with all of these issues.
I am SO glad you made this video ~ I’ve been thinking it was ME forever!
So, the last several months I’ve been ending the items before the expire (same day, but before the automatically end & relist) & relist myself so I know it’s done.
However, after a while, I decided to wait a few days before relisting so they seem fresher & a few times, they’ve disappeared off of my ‘unsold’ list ~ within just a few days, not months or anything.

large stores like yours trying to keep up with all of the quirks
Typical eBay glitch.. You’ll re-list them and then in the long run, you end up selling them twice but not have the second pair in stock. Its been very frustrating over the years
Happend to me 5 times this year
There is a WORST glitch going on right now…..when you list up new item, type in price and right before your eyes a second later eBay program is typing in a random price!! I have to go back and delete it, re-type in my price numerous times, I then go down to shipping and go back to my item price….program changes it again! Spoke with eBay reps, I am NOT the only person experiencing this. Also, in your shipping cost area: you could have typed in your flat rate or have calculated checked off, but the eBay program is changing it to FREE shipping! I had rep ask me if that was also occurring. Then another glitch: In your category of items all my sub categories are completely wiped out…..along with the filters of brand name, colors, my solds, the entire left screen area is blank…..so everyone should be very careful of the program changing your pricing right now!

@hollyp4579 No, this glitch is not exclusive to iOS. It's happened to me on the desktop version too. Whenever I would revise images, titles, etc, the price would randomly change to something much lower than what i am asking for the item. Luckily I have caught the price change before a customer does. This is a big issue.
It’s the app and SHOULD be fixed according to eBay. I had this happen!!!
I’ve been having problems with eBay changing my listing to calculated shipping, wish is way overcharging people.
I’ve been slowly doing a full inventory check for the past two weeks & I have two 50-gallon tubs of clothes that have evaporated from eBay! It’s insane! I’m not even halfway done. Haven’t started the shoes yet 😮. Some items are newer but most are older listings, over 6 months old. It’s good to know it’s not just me.
I have definitely had this issue and I don’t trust that everything’s stays listed. I think the glitch is that sometimes the items that are supposed to be listed “forever” get ended instead of automatically relisted. I don’t believe the items are truly listed forever they are just automatically relisted by eBay every 30 days…sometimes lol
Crazy that you mentioned this. Last night I was going over items that I listed a couple months back to revise titles, images, etc and there were 2 pairs of jeans that I did not find in Active listings. I was so confused. I can't say it was the eBay glitch for certain, maybe I forgot to list them, but that almost NEVER happens. In fact, I cannot remember the last time I forgot to list an item. Thanks for sharing!
I'm watching your video now. This has been a problem for the last 2 years. I do inventory and find 20 to 30% are no longer listed. I called ebay, and they said this was not something they did. It's super frustrating. I do inventory 2 times a year now. This exact issue has happened to me.

I do a monthly stocktake for this very reason. I have never had a month where there weren't missing items. None were cancellations, almost all were listed within the past 6 months.
Yes this happens all the time to me- not just shoes - but clothing that has been folded and bagged. This is especially noticeable in older bins. When I notice it, I remove it and check it out. But, I would rather focus on adding new listings then going through my inventory - that would take forever! Wasted time.
Yes, It has been happening for about the last 4-5 years. The first year it happened, all but my main picture was deleted off of several listings. Then the next year it happened, listings were just deleted. Seems like these issues happen in the fall when Ebay is updating things on the site. I have had to check every year and I have started this year and I am sure I will find several items unlisted again.
Yes, happens to me all the time. It's tough when items are in bins, with THOUSANDS of items. But I do a spot checks and find items in bins all the time that are no longer listed. I sell a lot of new shoes in boxes, I found 3 pairs of wrestling shoes a few days ago that I wondered why I still had them, looked, and they were no longer in my store. I listed them and sold them immediately. That was $360 in shoes, listed at one point, I found the emails proving the listing were created, but they just disappeared from my current store. It's not age related, I listed these shoes 2 years ago with many variations, and only a few sizes were left, no listing.
Happens to me too. Such a time suck to have to do the listing process all over again. Checking inventory yearly is a must do! I should probably do 2 or 3 times not just once.
This is great advice. I, too, have noticed dozens of items that somehow got de-listed. Ally you are so right when you said, “time flies!” I’ve been reselling for close to 20 years on eBay (antiqueexcavator on eBay). I feel like I blinked and my young daughter went from ayso soccer to playing D1 to making me a grandpa. I’m afraid to blink again!
This has happened for awhile, it's why at least once a year i go thru a few items in random bins i have that are listed items and just look them up to make sure they are still listed. I've found a handful of items that were no longer listed everytime i do it.
I haven't noticed anything, although I've been hearing of glitches from items being removed to even be re-priced. So lately with the way I have my inventory system set up I will check everything in a bag (I sell small toys/action figures) before I add new listing into those bags just to make sure those older items are good. Again, haven't seen any issues with over 3000 items but I also do a "audit" twice a year to remove stale inventory that has caught some items that weren't listed. Although we're talking maybe 5 items at most.
I just know I have many views and likers on Mercari meanwhile my same ebay listing has zero views.

In a reseller FB group people have had their prices be changed on listings as well as stuff being de-listed. It sucks when you put the time into this and it's undone by a glitch. Sadly no way to recoup that money

Another thing I’ve noticed that has happened to me a few times is, there will be double listings for some of my items. No idea how it happens, but it definitely has happened on multiple occasions. The only time it was a problem is when I had already sold that item and then someone else “bought” it later on down the line and I obviously don’t have it anymore
The double listing thing has happened to my husband’s eBay store, too, and way too often! He uses an iOS device. Is that the reason??

This has happened to me as well - I don't know what triggered it or why - but sure enough - like you guys - I found at least twenty items delisted. I was in a box finding an item that sold, and saw a couple really cool toys. I thought... Why haven't these sold they are amazing - maybe my price is too high. But no - they were not on eBay. This triggered a deeper look into my inventory where I ended up finding at least twenty items that were not listed. You are not alone!
Related issue: I've searched my tiny store listings page for items I recently listed, and if the search term isn't identical to the right thing, it doesn't come up. Plurals are a problem. For example searching the word 'shoe' will often return 0 results if the item has the plural 'shoes' in the title. Add the S and suddenly you get to see your stock. So be sure to double or triple search for items using different search criteria prior to assuming they're delisted. I also keep my item numbers current in my spreadsheet so I can search using those, and save photos on a drive until the 30 day return period is past.
Such an awful bug! I hope ebay shapes up soon. I've recently heard of another really bad bug in ebay where prices of items and shipping costs are glitching when using the phone app. For example, if you go to edit some photos in a listing, and you change a few photos, sometimes the price of the item or the shipping cost will glitch and change to a random number. So, if your price was 9.99, it may randomly change to like 6.99 without you doing anything to the price. Crazy! For the bug you mentioned with ebay removing items, I wonder if a simple daily check of the number of items you have listed would help. LIke if you record the number of items you have listed at 8 AM every morning and then again at 10PM or something. Make sure that the number is accurate.
I work with very little space, so I have to keep on top of my stock. I have found countless listings have vannished over the years. I've contacted eBay, and they dont have any idea how its happening. Kinda annoying when it's high ticket items. Just one of them things, I suppose. I now do monthly stock takes. It's good to also see what's not sold in the month. I reduce pricing and tweek the titles, etc. Since I've started doing this, I've seen a 25% increase in sales.
Yes, this has happened to me too. I had to go through my whole inventory to find more. It sucks because you have re take pictures and post it again. I always wonder why?

ProPicker just had the same ordeal with eBay delisting so much inventory. He had to go through each item and he has a big store. I can't imagine how much work he had to redo!
Yes, it's def happened to us also. WeI've noticed this a couple times only and we have about 700 items listed. I've noticed any time ebay is doing updates, there's so many glitches happening in our store, it's crazy.
Yes. Not just this glitch but the opposite as well. eBay relists something that has sold and then dings me when I cannot produce it when it is ordered again! Both are equally devastating. Most recently, I began to do what you did, get rid of inventory, especially board games that were selling like hotcakes during 2020, that were no longer selling. Found out most of them had disappeared from eBay.
Did any of your de-listed items show up on your Ended items list?
I have noticed several items that are not listed but also many where the shipping info has been deleted. So I’m not sure if the item would actually sell because the shipping section is has nothing in it and obviously you can’t upload a listing with no shipping info.

I've heard of this before but never actually had it happen personally. But just so I understand, if you guys listed a pair of levis jeans on ebay, then went to active listings on your store and searched levis it wouldn't show up after a period of time? I've had old listings where the views tapered off and showed 0 views, then I would delist and relist it and sometimes would sell instantly which I always thought was weird. I've also listed items, then immediately went to search for the item on ebay with all the other similar listings and couldn't find it show up as a new item filtered by"newly listed" which always stood out to me as odd as well.
I've been going through my inventory slowly since January. I've found TONS of items that were not listed any longer. WHY? Probably 6-8 items per inventory box.
I have this problem too. I have about 1000-1200 live at all times. And I do inventory at least twice a year. I have probably 20-60 items unlisted. So frustrating to have to research, photo and relist again. Just dumb.
This video is right on time. I was having trouble with my duplicate items, for two days last Sunday and Monday my wife and I only went through the dupe items and found over 30 duplicate items no longer listed. it made sense because it's been in stock easily over a year. from now on regular inventory checks will have to happen. Great video.
Couple years ago, my listings were not relisting after they ended. Not auctions, my buy it now. I called eBay. They confirmed there was a problem and it got fixed but I’m not sure if all my listings got relisted.
When we did clothing, we always found a lot.
We had around 1700 listings at thr time. Our once per year inventory check usually found around 150 unlisted.
Today, we are selling in ebay Motors. No where near as many, but still find a few occasionally.
Usually, it is "why hasn't that sold?" Yep. Another one bites the dust.
I hate that I have to be hyper aware when I get a non payment and then have to go look it up and find out if ity auto relisted or not. I get no notification of the non payment cancellation it just goes into the canceled, ebay is dropping the ball here.
Where do the items go when they are delisted? Your ended folder?
I believe it also has to do when they change policy on listing requirements that I dont get around to updating, they come off my active. I have this happen from time to time, I now do a quarterly inventory lol
Some say the glitch today was pricing changes without our knowledge?? But in last year 100 or so were deleted and thank goodness I have list perfectly to go back and relist them...worth they prices for sure...I am now gonna get someone else to do my listings ....

It happens for me all the time. It is annoying. Ebay acts like they listing never existed when you contact them.
did a stock check at christmas and found 18 items out of 350 that were no longer listed. no idea how that happened but its a pain. works out about 5% of my items
My glitch was it changed shipping to Free on a handful of items
I did my inventory about 3 weeks ago I noticed how much stuff that was missing on my eBay over 150 Items or more I still relisted them from scratch.
Last year I received the eBay small business grant and part of winning was taking part in weekly zoom calls with eBay reps. I raised this concern with them as I noticed going through my inventory that 20-30% had dropped off the platform without knowing about it. They told me this was unlikely, but I assured them that it was in fact happening. Hopefully they eventually address this because it's frustrating thinking that your inventory is up but it's not.
Not had this exact issue but, when I have recurring products I need to watch when the quantity I've listed sells out and I forget to relist. My bad, lol.. Great sales BTW . I just sold a small sewing machine part, paid 1.00 and sold for 175.00, cha ching!! TFS Hugs from CA * L
My wtf is nothing is selling for me! I just started back up. I have fenton fairy lamps, cake plates, vases. THE snoopy mug. But nothing at all is moving! My prices are low and I'm doing free shipping. I don't get it.
My biggest issue with Ebay in the last couple years has been Traffic, I have more quality inventory than ever before, Yet people are just not seeing a lot of my items. When a couple years ago I could go in and search my items and I would almost always be on the first page. There would also be plenty of views for said items. I know the economy and overall small business has declined across the board for most people. But this just seems like an Ebay thing, They have changed something and it's not for the better.
Yes, this is normal. I do an audit of my inventory every once in a while and always find items that have disappeared. Last time I audited my inventory of shoes, I had to relist 31. I just audited 9 bins and had to relist about 15 items. I try to audit a bin or shelf every week. Yes, this is an Ebay glitch.

YES!!! It happened to us, they just DISAPPEAR!! The comps are showing different now too, not sure what’s going on. We personally are backing off of eBay a little too many glitches. That flip clock is COOL!!
My mother is the least sentimental person 😂. I actually got a Molly Doll. The very first American Girl edition or not edition but the first year of production. I’ve been looking for YEARS. My mom…oh, I threw that out. WHAT! I was the last kid in an Irish fam, I NEVER got such a pricey birthday gift so her not realizing the value blows my mind. She just claims she was probably mad at me. She is the lady that threw out all my 80’s Barbies when I was 8. I wish I still had those too. I hang on to some shred of hope I find Molly one day. 😂 She did make sure I didn’t cut her hair (most of my dolls received a makeover) so 🤞Molly didn’t get incinerated.
This is not a new issue , sellers have been complaining about ebay removing stale listings for about 2 years that I know of. All sellers should do regular checks.

What I don’t like about eBay is if your using only a phone for reselling and you go to print a shipping label and there’s a error printing phone dies or whatever happened it never printed so you go to get another one and it double charges you shipping for another label and you cannot cancel the first one through a phone it’s happened atleast 15 times to me and I’m not sure eBay refunded my account for those shipping labels. So does it actually double charge you or does it correct itself because I’m not sure ???h
Yes, but very old inventory.....years old. Most of those probably didn't reach image requirement size, etc. I've not had any cancellations of more recent listings.
I need help! As you know I’m new, trying to list ALOT. However, eBay won’t let them list until everything is complete. I agree with that. However, many items are impossible to find the answer to, some things I have no clue what they are-many!! Some questions aren’t answerable. Is that a word? Items I thought were listed were not!! What can I do??? Thanks.
lots....I just had to go through my 2500 ebay listings because ebay kept relisting items that had already sold. ive had half a dozen of those in the past two months. As i went through my inventory i found, out of 2500 listing..over 300 that were delisted, 30ish that were listed but had already been sold and 25% of the skus had disappeared in my listings. not to mention my sales are down 60% since thanksgiving. the week of thanksgiving i went from selling 10 plus items a day to maybe 10 a week.
I just did inventory the last week of December and I ended up with about 180 items not listed anymore. Luckily I had them on other platforms and could cross post them back BUT about 80 wasn’t …..And I have had an item sell that had sold 5 months ago that somehow got relisted….
yea they remove item that cycles on bidding and not doing .. my stuff disappeared after 1 yr old
Actually, now that I'm lookin at my active treasures lol, I see a Throwback Jam I thought had been listed, but I look through active fairly regularly, and yeah, I thought had sold or was gone for a HOT minute, is now the first to pop up?!
I’m a small store. Just thought I should check my inventory last week. Sooo many thing gone? But why? I can see a few, however, I couldn’t believe it. I don’t do whatnot, too old to be relevant or have the confidence. Husband was in accident (better now) but so much I had to deal with, didn’t think I had to worry that my listings would disappear..sorry especially that you paid to have them listed 😞
We recently went thru our whole store over 3000 items, and yes sometimes its our fault. But we found 100s of items not listed. Now that we went thru the whole store. Things have picked up. I am guessing its all sellers. But most people are not aware. So in our case 15-20 % not on Ebay that should have been listed.
I didn’t believe some of my reselling colleagues that this was happening until I saw 1 of my listings had vanished..it’s happening more frequently I’m lucky as I’ve only had the 1 disappear but that’s probably because I’m always updating listings too
Disappearing inventory has been an issue for years now. Every year, 10-20% of my inventory is no longer listed.
Considering most resellers are paying for a store, its ridiculous that they have many server issues for years now.
I think it was 7 years ago, when they accidently deleted all of your listing photos except one.
Or when they randomly duplicated some of your listings. So now you have two identical listings but your phycically only have one.
I personally have never had eBay unlist an item but I have heard from other resellers that it happens

we traveled for years, to spend winters in our camper, in the south, and I sold online, by taking some of the inventory with us. I had to go through it every fall to go S and spring, to come north. I found items EVERY time, that were not lsted! So aggravating! I now use a crosslisting program, Vendoo, and think this has slowed way down. Just a thought.
What I've noticed is the number of listings in my EBay store do NOT match the number of active listings. Sometimes the difference is as little as 2 or as much as 15. I haven't been able to find a reason why.

Dropped Listings: haven’t done a full inventory in awhile, but when I go into a bin I haven’t been in recently (or re-filled with new listings) I’ll spot check the items still in the bin that were all previously listed. Sometimes I’m floored by the high percentage of items I spent time to list, that are no longer active. In some bins it’s as high as 40%. eBays been getting worse overtime.
I had an item sell two days ago that I sold on Poshmark in December. After reading in the comments I am now wondering if it was relisted on Ebay, someone bought it, and now I the 100% top rated seller status I have worked hard to keep is now going to be affected. I cannot say for sure that I deleted it. But I typically do. Now after reading the comments below I am wondering if I did actually delete it.
This is why i cross post everything now. I can’t tell you how many times I sell something on Poshmark and go to delete it on eBay but can’t find the listing. If not for cross posting it would never sell and my work would have been wasted. Sign up for cross posting software and let Cally do it for you so her work isn’t wasted.
Oh my gosh, I thought it was just me!!! I have found so much that just de-listed themselves. I have spent so much time re-listing items. Sooooo frustrating.
I’ve had thing delisted and I’ve had duplicate listings come up. I’m pretty sure the double list was an eBay glitch because the tittle a were identical which they don’t let you do. You get an error message. The way I found out was one of the duplicate errors sold after the original one sold and I had to cancel the order since it wasn’t in stock. Easy to check if you alphabetize your listings and scan through for duplicates
Mine aren’t disappearing, but they are duplicating! I keep ending up with the same exact listing twice and it’s happened a few times. I can’t figure out what’s happening but I constantly have to scroll through my active listings and delete the duplicates.
Just found you. I thought it was a me thing. I was working through my inventory and pulled out quite a bit that had just fell off the books. New type of death pile! Right in the middle of everything else.
ebay after so many years of being up and operational I have noticed many issues over several decades that improve then something else goes worse so with Ebay I tell people check, check, check and recheck and do it often it sucks BUT if not you run into lots of issues and inventory problems like you had said
Is anyone else experiencing this issue in the last several months - I’ll search an item and find 1,200+ listed and click sold comps and there are 0 sold. I get this all the time on the app. I know there are solds, but eBay will show me 0 sold comps.

This is nothing new. I sold on eBay from 1999 to 2016. I went crazy once eBay started the stores and stuff just disappeared. I created a spreadsheet that had all my inventory and quantities and the original date listed. I would check weekly that the number of items shown in the store was the same as my spreadsheet said. The problem I think started like 2 years after stores were introduced. Sad that the problem seems to gotten worse rather than better
Here is something I have caught happening. As I finish a listing and go to hit the list button, I have had my screen jump and end up hitting the draft button instead. If I don't catch this, the item is never really listed. I have caught this multiple times. It makes me wonder how many times I didn't catch it.

The only issue i had was when the post office changed from first class to ground advantage. I noticed my listing weren’t selling and it showed the shipping was unavailable for those listings . So i had to go through and select ground advantage. Problem solved
Happens to me all the time. I have to do checks periodically of all my inventory. The listings literally just disappear.
yup, I get stuff that just disappears from eBay and occasionally get stuff double listed and then have to apologize and refund due to out of stock.
I've had an issue where my listing no longer has any shipping information in it . I charge buyers calculated shipping and I've noticed a few items here recently, that have been listed for a while, that I've had to go back and input the dimensions and weight to get a shipping price.
Oh my word yes! It has happened to me and I just recently realized it! Somehow I feel better that it’s not just me. But I’m sorry for everyone that’s it has impacted. I assumed I must have done something to cause it. It takes a lot of wasted time to relist it all!

I’ve had photos just disappear from my listings. I’ll go back in to a listing that’s been up for maybe a few months to see if should change the main photo, etc. and half the photos are gone for the item. This has happened more than once, which is not good…
I have the same problem. I did inventory after the 1st and I was shocked how many things were gone from Ebay. I think it happens when they do updates. I am not sured.
