Best British band of 2000x. So sad they disbanded, all their side projects feels really unnecessary…( But since She Wants Revenge started to play again, I have hope for reunions 🤞
Very unlikely I reckon, Ben has a proper successful career now that probably requires a lot of his attention (Managing Director of A Great Place To Work) so it's not like working in a pub where he can just quit any time to risk possibly not making that much from a reunion if we're completely honest, but I think he still plays in local bands at the weekends
i got to see TCTC at Glastonbury at a secret gig in a tent before they played a main stage ,it was amazing & the singer climbed the scaffold, best secret gig i have ever witnessed, did anyone else see that?
My oh my, i'm seeing the potential Lets just see what we can do First we'll take you down back to the meathouse And then you'll hold their hands again I know tricks that you could only dream of Looks like it's your lucky day A killer key change Is all you'll ever need [chorus] But who needs enemies When you've got friends Now your hands are tied And who needs accidents When you've got me Now i'm on your side Now lets try and teach you how to mingle Then we'll teach you how to kill Lies will always be your best of best friends Never be alone again A killer key change Is all you'll ever need [chorus] All these animals That you call friends Now they're on their knees Man, you tricked 'em all You played the fool So damn easy to please I made my name in function rooms And drifting through the walls Come on let me teach you boy Teach you 'bout it all [chorus] All these animals That you call friends Now they're on their knees Man, you tricked 'em all You played the fool So damn easy to please
Maybe someone here can help me out because I used to be sure and now I worry that I made it all up. I am sure that just before 'See This Through and Leave' came out, I had a studio version of the song "Who Needs Enemies" but it had none of the horns in it. I'm certain it was the studio version but a stripped back mix of it. I was sure I got this from some sort of EP but I concede that I may have downloaded it. All I know is when I finally got my hands on the album I was really thrown because the song has brass instruments and other sounds that hadn't been in the mix I'd fallen in love with. In my memory I thought I got it from one of the brown cardboard looking EPs but the internet searches I've done show none of them featuring this song. I was so certain I had gotten it from an official EP but now I'm willing to accept it pay have been some early release leak online (though I really don't think so). Please does anyone remember this alternate version of who needs enemies. I'll go so far as to say that I've never really warmed to this album version because of how much I loved the first version I heard. I can't have imagined it, surely!
It's not a live version mate. They did better mixes of their songs for the videos. If you watch the Film Maker video, it's also different from the album version... and sounds better to me :)
they did make it man i like them cant c the oasis comparison myself totally different band plus this is better than anything beady eye will come up with. anyway the ROSES put british music back on the map oasis just continued it.
If you're comparing any band to Oasis then you must regard most bands as "sad" purely because not many have matched their success. What a varied interest in music you must have....
Love this band, but I don't care for this particular mix of this track. The toothiness and texture of Ben's vocals have been polished out and the guitar parts just sound 'too' clean. I prefer the grit and honesty of the album version.
Fuck all this bickering over whether they are as good as band x, has anyone noticed this is a live version with the video? Strange. They are a great live band, but does anyone have the album version on here?
In 94 Oasis blew everyone out the water and were the most original band around compared to all the rest of the shite. They inspired a generation with their music and put British rock n roll back on the map. The Cooper Temple Clause are just another sad band that never made it but have a group of people that love them for not being mainstream (basically because they were never good enough) and thinking they are cool because they listen to something that's not in the charts. Loos like a VO5 advert
@philipmorris57 I genuinely don't even remember this writing this comment 😂 first time I've looked at this account in a long time. No idea why I was so opinionated on this 10 years ago 😬 My bad
This just popped into my head for the first time in nearly 20 years. Relieved to hear it's as great as I remembered it.
Good memory my friend xx ❤
the most underrated band of the 00s, period.
Brilliant band and massively underrated
too true, I remember watching them live years ago and thinking these guys are gonna be huge.. shame.
Agree
See them live about 7 times. Always a great live performance
What have they become ? This song is a true banger, it’s super high quality music. I didn’t know of them till now
Nope most definitely rated😂!
Miss Them Badly...One Of The Greatest Bands Of The Zero Years
I miss this band SO MUCH
bluesevie30 Me too.
One of the most underrated bands that were about and when they had a song on fifa 04' you know they should of had more recognition! PROMISES PROMISES
please please please come back.. :') this song (and many others of TCTC) has been stuck in my head since 2008..
Such a great band. This would make an excellent Bond tune
10 year old comment and still rings true.
Cooper Temple Clause and Who Needs Enemies? Good question lads. Nobody. On XFM I'm Ricky Gervais.
Це чесно! А в рок н ролі це найважливише! Подобається!

Quality band. Way ahead of their time.
Which is why that Lp still sounds like it was recorded last week 🤓🙆♀️

Not surpassed! Amazing band!
This absolutely rocks.
Should have been A number one record.

The Cooper Temple Clause never slagged other bands off, but instead made better music !
I Lu 200k views... Criminal! Amazing band back in the day
Forgot all about this lot, great band. I hate it when good bands fall away, and fucking Take That and the like keep rolling it in.
This is GOOD❗️👍
what a good song.
Magnificent.
I love the voice
Nice band ;)
so effing brilliant
@anTenorfr dude its cool i wasnt critisising you, i was actually glad you posted that comment as they do have freakishly similar voices!

Sounds like a mixture of oasis and placebo. Love it
You nailed it!!
@@YetAnotherUser108throw Radiohead into the mix and your about right

Umut Naderi a masterpiece of a generation
Umut Naderi a masterpiece of a generation
My oh my, i'm seeing the potential
Lets just see what we can do
First we'll take you down back to the meathouse
And then you'll hold their hands again
I know tricks that you could only dream of
Looks like it's your lucky day
A killer key change
Is all you'll ever need
[chorus]
But who needs enemies
When you've got friends
Now your hands are tied
And who needs accidents
When you've got me
Now i'm on your side
Now lets try and teach you how to mingle
Then we'll teach you how to kill
Lies will always be your best of best friends
Never be alone again
A killer key change
Is all you'll ever need
[chorus]
All these animals
That you call friends
Now they're on their knees
Man, you tricked 'em all
You played the fool
So damn easy to please
I made my name in function rooms
And drifting through the walls
Come on let me teach you boy
Teach you 'bout it all
[chorus]
All these animals
That you call friends
Now they're on their knees
Man, you tricked 'em all
You played the fool
So damn easy to please

@@milesstyles7428 haha no problem, I almost always comment lyrics on songs that I sing along too
@anTenorfr as was pointed out to him in every interview they did when they first came out, drove him up the wall after a while!
@danspivey91 i'm sorry, I didnt listened to these interview, and after all its not a reproach, he has a great voice !
Best.
Why does this sound so much better produced than the album track I have?

You’re thinking of the demo version of this song on their ‘Crayon Demos’ release!
Gran gran rola, se nota la influencia de los OASIS

Fickin love this track 👌
Os br nao conhece essa banda? O loco

This is definitely mixed differently to the album version. Pretty subtle, but i like this one a bit better.
@danspivey91 x) sorry, i've totally misunderstood ! my mistake, english's not my first language!

Can't find any answers online at all, anyone know which Burt Bacharach song this samples?
Let me know, if you know the answer
@@eugenesansvie545 according to their Facebook page it's the completely separate piece of music that plays after the song stops

I love oasis but that don't mean I'm gonna dig at any band t but cooper temple clause are awesome just like sylosis who are amazing live

this is what Oasis would have sounded like if they were any good
That's cruel
But true ;)
Perfect commemt..
Oasis had more better songs
Don't talk nonsense. They're both great bands
@1escroate lets just say it sounds tooo close to oasis

That and I doubt RUclipss Compression has helped much.
damn! Gautrey's voice totally sounds like Liam Gallagher's !

Oasis are a mainstream pop group who look bored as hell playing their own songs.
Cooper Temple Clause were a kick ass rock band.
Thanks for saying that , totally agree
Oasis, where?
@subsonicly it wasnt me that compared them in the first place. I love a lot of different music but not this pish.
Ed Zitron sent me here.
Thought this was Oasis at first not even gonna lie
Nothing like Oasis. "Gallagher and Co" have forgot better stuff than this.
my cat suggested this song, still dont really like it
Payasos rompiendo instrumentos, ya lo inventaron!! en los 90' vaya y pase.. ahora no.
