When outdoors the joy of being on vacation tends to initially be eating too often and too much! For the first few days at least then you start to realise this is not how you generally eat at home and start cutting back😃. Barbecued cooking is likely the healthiest way of eating meat products. Lots of fresh salads (where available) and vegetables will never cause issues and is an opportunity to eat differently than at home where snacks are readily available. If you have time then any dish eaten at home can be prepared and cooked successfully (the challenge is half the fun). Would be interested is seeing how you prepare outdoor meals within the Swiss culture! Can always learn something to incorporate into our travels. Enjoying the new chat series.

I'm with you in that I *LOVE* a perfectly cooked steak. Honestly, anything cooked outside & on the road (especially steak...) tastes 2x better than when cooked at home. Yum!

I personally don’t have the issue with gluten but I’ve herd of a few folks around having that issue so I don’t think it’ll be a big problem I hope. So he’s not able to in joy s’mores buy the campfire I’m guessing.

It does make it way more difficult for eating out and takes more time when food shopping in places we don't know but an absolutely necessary to be very careful. S'more are marshmallows, right? It does depend on brands, but he can still enjoy that 🙂
