I really love XG but for some reason their stage presence seems to be pretty weak for what I expected from them, even with powerful songs like grl gvng and mascara. Idk if it’s the mostly prerecorded vocals or the dance. Like ik they have to save energy to get through the whole set but there seems to be hardly anything individual or unique about their live performances and the energy level is kind of like an unwavering straight line. It just sounds like when i watch the mv it’s too curated and clean (not in a good way) that don’t feel them burning up the stage. Their performance don’t seem to be on par with how powerful their songs actually are. Just my personal opinion For example bts are really good performers, every stage is special, I can feel them giving absolute 200% absolutely demolishing the stage to the point where they are drenched in sweat from head to toe and need to use air masks afterwards. Obviously that’s a bit extreme but it’s what makes them top global artists and I’m saying this because I’ve seen the documentary and am really rooting for them to make an impact globally and as they themselves said become the best of the best but rn they just look like any other K-pop gg on stage to me I wanna see them do better!
