Congratulations! You've now found the world's probably most talented band of heavy metal players around, all female, who are currently reviving classic metal and other genres (power metal, thrash metal, speed metal, classic rock). They were founded in 2016 (as a supergroup with members from dissolved bands) with the concept of playing hard without losing their femininity. Thus they mostly play in white and gold with high heels (which also helps, because they are all between 1,45m and 1,60m of height). They are all masters on their instruments, compose their own songs (apart from a "hidden" member called Mao, currently more than 60 songs, all of them are more than good), and sing in English (apart from just one song). After 5 years of existence, they've struggled with Covid-19 and the loss of their bassist and band leader Miho, but they've found a 20yo (now 21) master on bass Fami, whose smile is quite contagious. Back with "We Are The Resurrection" on March 11th, 2023, this was the first live performance in 2 year's time, and the first with new member Fami. It was recorded for 2CD/DVD/Blu-ray as live album "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate" (August, 23rd, 2023). Yesterday, they've started their sold out Japanese tour in Fukuoka, where they've successfully played more of the songs on their February 22nd, 2023, album by the title of "Judgement Day". There's much more to expect in future, and there's a lot to discover in the past. Almost any song will entertain and astonish you. A lot of people said, "they lack the ability to disappoint." todo en lo correcto, la mejor banda de metal, muy virtuosas, hay mucho talento en Asami, que se adaptó del R&B al metal y queda perfecto para toda la música que hace lovebites. Espero q lleguen a latinoamérica.
@rainerzufall42 , they have been out of Japan on a number of occasions, UK twice maybe 3 times, a tour with Dragon force and 2 festivals , bloodstock and download! Also Wacken and other festivals in Europe. Finally not to forget their Asian tour, China etc. Covid and Miho leaving has kept them in Japan since 2020. A world tour is expected! 😎🤟

Esta banda está conformada por chicas japonesas que son extremadamente talentosas, tocan sus instrumentos a la perfección, son muy versátiles y son músicos excepcionales. Sus presentaciones en vivo son realmente increíbles. Asami cantaba canciones de R&B, soul y jazz antes de integrarse a Lovebites. Miyako también es una pianista clásica de nivel de concierto. Contrario a lo que algunos dicen, con respecto a que suenan muy j-rock, j-metal o como opening de algún anime, mi "oido" me dice que su sonido es mas parecido a bandas de heavy y power metal de los 90s, cosa que es normal ya que siempre lo han dicho abiertamente, que su influencia viene de iron maiden, judas priest, helloween, metallica, dokken, slayer etc., son bastante adictivas de escuchar y de ver, sobre todo en su presentaciones en vivo, donde todas destacan al tocar con gran precisión y velocidad. Mas alla de la información de la banda que se aporte en los comentarios, yo pienso que parte de su exito que muchos se niegan a aceptar, se debe a la voz de la cantante asami, ya que originalmente solo cantaba R&B Soul y su unico contacto con este estilo de música fue de la banda halestorm ( origen del nombre de la banda) y painkiller de judas priest. Lovebites, según ellas mismas son "Heavy Metal". Un poquito de trash, un poquito de speed, un poquito de power metal, se mezcla todo y sacas eso. En realidad dentro de Japón, la única particularidad que tienen es que practicamente todos sus temas tienen las letras en inglés. En ocasiones, sobre todo en temas de hace años es un poco complicado reconocerlo de primeras porque la cantante Asami, tenía un acento bastante fuerte que ha ido mejorando mucho con el tiempo. Pero vamos, que haya en Japón bandas de metal con solo mujeres ni es especial, ni es novedad. Hay una banda llamada Show-Ya que empezó con solo mujeres su andadura en 1981 y siguen activas a día de hoy, y si, tienen sus años ya porque hablamos de mas de 40 años. Bandas femeninas exclusivamente en Japón no es que haya a montones, pero tampoco es que escaseen. Eso en cualquier genero que se te ocurra. La tradición musical es muy fuerte en ese país. Se enseña música desde preescolar y en muchos institutos es obligatorio aprender a tocar algún instrumento en secundaria. Entre millones siempre la nata flota y sale arriba. De hecho ambas guitarristas, Midori y Miyako empezaron a aprender piano desde niñas. Miyako, la guitarrista de pelo largo negro es pianista de altísimo nivel, de las de concurso y que se desayuna estudios de Chopin sin despeinarse. La nueva bajista que aparece aquí: Fami, toca el bajo, piano, guitarra y además canta. Que haya bandas solo de mujeres no es raro, pero tampoco que sus componentes toquen varios instrumentos, hasta extremos casi absurdos como Hana, la guitarrista-batería-cantante y no se cuantas cosas mas de Gacharic Spin que domina cerca de 20 instrumentos. En este aspecto, Japón es "otro planeta". El nivel de desempeño habitual, lo que allí se considera normal para grupos de cierto nivel, es absurdamente alto para los estándares occidentales. Obviamente eso también pasa en bandas masculinas o mixtas. Es habitual que muchos músicos de rock o metal en ese país tengan una muy fuerte formación clásica y formal, y eso se nota. Un detalle poco comentado habitualmente, es que bastantes temas de este grupo (y otros) cuentan con un tremendo compositor que solo encuentras mirando los libretos de los discos. Un tal Mao Yamamoto www.metal-archives.com/artists/Mao/159057 Además, aunque Lovebites en este aspecto va un poco "por libre" es habitual entre otras bandas el tener colaboraciones entre ellas, habitualmente en festivales donde se juntas miembros de varias bandas para divertirse. En el caso del rock y metal femenino, sobre todo en el festival Naon no Yaon que anualmente produce Show-Ya (la banda femenina de metal mas longeva del país) Cuidado, Japón es eso que llaman un "rabbit hole" en el aspecto musical. Empiezas por un grupo y no sabes donde vas a terminar. Si no están dominando buena parte de la escena del mundo en esos generos es simplemente porque las discográficas habitualmente no se promocionan apenas fuera del país. Bueno, eso y el idioma claro está.

Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. El aire de "anime" que muchos dan a este tipo de bandas viene de la cultura folk japonesa que influencia mucho su arte musical. Es como cuando escuchas rock de Argentina y no puedes dejar de sentir el tango, o de México y sus rancheras o Colombia y su rock cumbiero. Cada cultura da su propia impronta al rock. Incluso el Heavy Metal tiene sus raíces en el folk europeo y en particular el celta. Muchas gracias.
Congratulations! You've now found the world's probably most talented band of heavy metal players around, all female, who are currently reviving classic metal and other genres (power metal, thrash metal, speed metal, classic rock). They were founded in 2016 (as a supergroup with members from dissolved bands) with the concept of playing hard without losing their femininity. Thus they mostly play in white and gold with high heels (which also helps, because they are all between 1,45m and 1,60m of height). They are all masters on their instruments, compose their own songs (apart from a "hidden" member called Mao, currently more than 60 songs, all of them are more than good), and sing in English (apart from just one song). After 5 years of existence, they've struggled with Covid-19 and the loss of their bassist and band leader Miho, but they've found a 20yo (now 21) master on bass Fami, whose smile is quite contagious. Back with "We Are The Resurrection" on March 11th, 2023, this was the first live performance in 2 year's time, and the first with new member Fami. It was recorded for 2CD/DVD/Blu-ray as live album "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate" (August, 23rd, 2023). Yesterday, they've started their sold out Japanese tour in Fukuoka, where they've successfully played more of the songs on their February 22nd, 2023, album by the title of "Judgement Day". There's much more to expect in future, and there's a lot to discover in the past. Almost any song will entertain and astonish you. A lot of people said, "they lack the ability to disappoint." I'd say, that's true!

@rainerzufall42 , they have been out of Japan on a number of occasions, UK twice maybe 3 times, a tour with Dragon force and 2 festivals , bloodstock and download! Also Wacken and other festivals in Europe. Finally not to forget their Asian tour, China etc. Covid and Miho leaving has kept them in Japan since 2020. A world tour is expected! 😎🤟

But that was in 2018, and although I could swear, there was a local TV report about them, that I saw, I've discovered them 3 months ago through a reaction video... Go 2024 world tour!
Esta banda está conformada por chicas japonesas que son extremadamente talentosas, tocan sus instrumentos a la perfección, son muy versátiles y son músicos excepcionales. Sus presentaciones en vivo son realmente increíbles. Asami cantaba canciones de R&B, soul y jazz antes de integrarse a Lovebites. Miyako también es una pianista clásica de nivel de concierto. Algunos dicen que ellas están redefiniendo el metal. Otros comentan que ellas están derribando los muros de los estereotipos en la escena metalera mundial. Asami, la vocalista, viene del genero R&B. No tiene mucha experiencia en lo que Metal se refiere. Una de sus mayores influencias es Mariah Carey. Pero se acoplo de inmediato cuando fue reclutada para formar Lovebites. A tal punto que ya es una de las compositoras principales de la banda. Ademas coopera componiendo temas para otras bandas y participa como corista junto a grandes musicos de la escena Japones. Toda una joya.
Asami, the vocalist, comes from the R&B genre. He doesn't have much experience when it comes to Metal. One of her biggest influences is Mariah Carey. Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in 2018. 2018 - Wacken - Open Air in Germany 2018 - Bloodstock Open Air in England 2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium 2019 - Download Festival in Spain In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. Contrario a lo que algunos dicen, con respecto a que suenan muy j-rock, j-metal o como opening de algún anime, mi "oido" me dice que su sonido es mas parecido a bandas de heavy y power metal de los 90s, cosa que es normal ya que siempre lo han dicho abiertamente, que su influencia viene de iron maiden, judas priest, helloween, metallica, dokken, slayer etc., son bastante adictivas de escuchar y de ver, sobre todo en su presentaciones en vivo, donde todas destacan al tocar con gran precisión y velocidad. Mas alla de la información de la banda que se aporte en los comentarios, yo pienso que parte de su exito que muchos se niegan a aceptar, se debe a la voz de la cantante asami, ya que originalmente solo cantaba R&B Soul y su unico contacto con este estilo de música fue de la banda halestorm ( origen del nombre de la banda) y painkiller de judas priest. This group always comes out firing on all cylinders, and they never stop. They are so very impressive, and so talented. (147 cm) le dijeron que era demasiado baja para ser bailarina. Lovebites, según ellas mismas son "Heavy Metal". Un poquito de trash, un poquito de speed, un poquito de power metal, se mezcla todo y sacas eso.
En realidad dentro de Japón, la única particularidad que tienen es que practicamente todos sus temas tienen las letras en inglés. En ocasiones, sobre todo en temas de hace años es un poco complicado reconocerlo de primeras porque la cantante Asami, tenía un acento bastante fuerte que ha ido mejorando mucho con el tiempo.
Pero vamos, que haya en Japón bandas de metal con solo mujeres ni es especial, ni es novedad. Hay una banda llamada Show-Ya que empezó con solo mujeres su andadura en 1981 y siguen activas a día de hoy, y si, tienen sus años ya porque hablamos de mas de 40 años.
Bandas femeninas exclusivamente en Japón no es que haya a montones, pero tampoco es que escaseen. Eso en cualquier genero que se te ocurra. La tradición musical es muy fuerte en ese país. Se enseña música desde preescolar y en muchos institutos es obligatorio aprender a tocar algún instrumento en secundaria. Entre millones siempre la nata flota y sale arriba.
De hecho ambas guitarristas, Midori y Miyako empezaron a aprender piano desde niñas. Miyako, la guitarrista de pelo largo negro es pianista de altísimo nivel, de las de concurso y que se desayuna estudios de Chopin sin despeinarse. La nueva bajista que aparece aquí: Fami, toca el bajo, piano, guitarra y además canta.
Que haya bandas solo de mujeres no es raro, pero tampoco que sus componentes toquen varios instrumentos, hasta extremos casi absurdos como Hana, la guitarrista-batería-cantante y no se cuantas cosas mas de Gacharic Spin que domina cerca de 20 instrumentos.
En este aspecto, Japón es "otro planeta". El nivel de desempeño habitual, lo que allí se considera normal para grupos de cierto nivel, es absurdamente alto para los estándares occidentales. Obviamente eso también pasa en bandas masculinas o mixtas. Es habitual que muchos músicos de rock o metal en ese país tengan una muy fuerte formación clásica y formal, y eso se nota.
Un detalle poco comentado habitualmente, es que bastantes temas de este grupo (y otros) cuentan con un tremendo compositor que solo encuentras mirando los libretos de los discos. Un tal Mao Yamamoto

Además, aunque Lovebites en este aspecto va un poco "por libre" es habitual entre otras bandas el tener colaboraciones entre ellas, habitualmente en festivales donde se juntas miembros de varias bandas para divertirse. En el caso del rock y metal femenino, sobre todo en el festival Naon no Yaon que anualmente produce Show-Ya (la banda femenina de metal mas longeva del país)
Cuidado, Japón es eso que llaman un "rabbit hole" en el aspecto musical. Empiezas por un grupo y no sabes donde vas a terminar. Si no están dominando buena parte de la escena del mundo en esos generos es simplemente porque las discográficas habitualmente no se promocionan apenas fuera del país.
Bueno, eso y el idioma claro está.

Confía en mí cuando te digo que tienen otras 59 canciones de esa calidad, sin desviación, y son capaces de tocar todas ellas, por rápido o complejo que sea, incluso mejor en vivo que en el estudio en la mayoría de las ocasiones. Voy a Japón desde el Reino Unido para ver tres conciertos en la gira que comenzó anoche (7 fechas en total, todas en Japón). Asami es un vocalista único en la vida y cada miembro de la banda es virtuoso. Gran reacción.

Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).
Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.
In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."

Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. Finally, the audio tracks of some of the new album are up on youtube, and worth checking out. The band clearly came out swinging and wanted to make a statement. Every song on the album is a showcase of their incredible talent and songwriting capabilities. “Stand and Deliver” is a thrasher with a fun video of them in the studio. “Soldier Stands Solitarily”, the final song on the album, is being touted by some as the best thing they’ve done so far-I encourage you to see and decide for yourself!

FYI 2018 Lovebites get METAL HAMMER AWARD 2018 in BEST BAND ALBUM category. Also 2018 - 2019 Lovebites was toured Europe and UK tour with DRAGON FORCE. And every LOVEBITES member are good educated and took major of music in university.

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won 'BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hummer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HUMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.

I participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".
And Asami of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm Download Festival UK 2019, singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites" again after Japan.
LOVEBITES join DragonForce on UK tour 2019(Nov. 2-14).
On 2 December 2019, LOVEBITES was the support act for the Tokyo leg of Halestorm's Japan tour.

Hola. No tengo mucho que agregar en los comentarios ya que llego un mes tarde.
El aire de "anime" que muchos dan a este tipo de bandas viene de la cultura folk japonesa que influencia mucho su arte musical. Es como cuando escuchas rock de Argentina y no puedes dejar de sentir el tango, o de México y sus rancheras o Colombia y su rock cumbiero. Cada cultura da su propia impronta al rock. Incluso el Heavy Metal tiene sus raíces en el folk europeo y en particular el celta.
