I've had mine growing for 20 years in a tall vase filled w water only. I would just top the water off when low. All of a sudden on the bottom 2 feet of the plant all the leaves have turned yellow, but the top 2 feet are still green. I cannot let this plant die, my mother who passed gave it to me 30 years ago. What to do? Do I cut the stalk where it has leaves and try to save the yellow part and replant the good green back into my vase?

Firstly, we understand the plant is of great sentimental value to you. It is so nice to hear that it has been with you for 20 years. You have done a fantastic job. It would appear that there's a sudden but subtle change that affects your treasured plant. Try to identify what has change lately that can upset your plant, could it be the temperature, water, light...? If nothing else is a possible suspect that can cause your lucky bamboo turning yellow, remove the dead/dying plant and keep them separate from the healthy one.

I have it in a window that it was in all summer. I have dumped all water and added a water w nutrients. I have now clipped all the dead leaves. Looks like a tall thin stalk w no leaves.
Will leaves ever grow back on the lower stalk?

Unfortunately, in many cases lucky bamboo leaves turn yellow do not recover. But this should not stop you from trying to rescue your plant. The ideal thing to do now is to check on your plant for signs of new growth after cutting the leaves. If there is nothing happening after a few weeks, sadly, it would mean that your plant will not survive. (As mentioned in the earlier comment, separate the healthy plants from the unhealthy ones if you can). We hope your lucky bamboo have a second leash of life. All the best!

I got my lucky bamboo was a container in water with stones I use Green fertilizer was doing good now I am getting little bit of yellow on the tips it just gets filtered light not sunlight it grew real good. How big it will grow?

That's great. Lucky bamboo can reach up to 8 feet (2.5 meters) when planted outdoors, and in well drained soil. Indoors and in pots, it typically grows to around 3 feet (1 meter). Yours may fall somewhere in between, given its current conditions.

the leaves are green but the stalks are yellow- I bought it this way from reduced section. Should I put it in dirt or leave it in the stones?

Yellowing Stalks are not a good sign of a healthy lucky bamboo. The best thing to do is to replace any water, make sure the stones/pebbles are clean. ALTERNATIVELY, if you see signs of rooting, put your bamboo in well drained potting soil immediately as lucky bamboo tends to thrive in soil better than water.

Lucky bamboo is a resilient plant, but you can only find out if you give it a go. Hope it does well. Let us know if you get a positive result. ✨️👍

What happened with your lucky bamboo? Did you manage to save it? If so, how? Mine is now doing this yellow stem with green leaves thing. I want to save it, if possible.

Should you cut off the leaves that turned yellow

You can remove the yellow leaves, but be careful not to strip the plant off all the new leaves, take off only those that have gone from yellow to brown.
