Love a Fiddle Bambino. They thrive in semi hydro 🌊. A suggestion re stability as it gets top heavy. I put a 1.5 m stake in however mine has way outgrown that. It's next to a wall so I place some string around the truck of the plant and hook it onto a self adhesive sticky thing onto the wall, it works a treat. You're always smiling and happy, lovely to see in our world today

Thank you for your lovely comment! I really appreciate it. And thanks for the suggestions on staking options, I was running out of ideas. The best I could come up with was taping two stakes to double the length 🤣.
Interestingly, I grew this plant in semi hydro for most of the time that it's been in my care. I nearly lost it in the winter due to the mix of cold and wet roots. I moved it back into soil last year and so far so good.

@@RootsReady This is only my second winter with semi hydro. I use mostly Leca with some Pon added so fingers crossed. We are in winter here so after seeing you mention about cold and wet roots I am going to drop my water levels a little. 💮

I had a small one that exploded in the winter. I put it in the wrong type of pot, watered it, it dropped all of it's leaves and died. I purchased another one and am just too careful. I was tempted to leave it outside but this plant does not like full sun.

Sorry to hear that, the FFL are such divas! I have seen some people grow this plant in full sun in the Caribbean, I guess they need to be acclimated to it. I have personally never grown it outdoors but my dream if to have a garden in a country where I can grow all of my plants! One day.... 😂

@@RootsReady An outside garden, yes! Also in the Caribbean is a lot of rain, humidity, and winds so tropical plants thrive. On some islands they also have volcanic soil.
