I just tried to make a “natural” version. Turns out the cocoa and moranga powder causes a very fast trace. Also I mistakenly thought I had peppermint and had to use wintergreen instead. Needless to say the glob did not mix well. I told my husband my channel would be called poverty soaps 😞
Gotta research ingredients before using them and get your ingredients out first. I’ve made similar mistakes a lot. Impulsivity and assumptions (thinking you had peppermint) leads to a lot of mistakes. Can even turn into a domino effect. It seems like more work but I believe it’s often best to plan ahead step by step to avoid these sorts of mistakes, I’m still trying to change my ways too
Almost THREE YEARS later... I haven’t had mint chocolate chip ice cream in forever, tonight I had some... pop onto RUclips.... and this is my first recommendation!

If you have a tea ball or a little strainer, you could sprinkle cocoa powder through that, and it would clump less.

The fuzzy din0 curious about that too! The base looks yellow-ish tho, so I'm not sure how
I don't think so. Most oils used in soap are a yellow color so with cold process soap it would always be yellow if you didn't add colorants
clear would involve glycerine. Most soaps will cure white or whitish even though they are yellow prior to mixing with lye. The saponification process of making the lye & oil into soap changes it chemically. You would however have to create your own recipe to get clear or clearish tops.
A good way to get past the clumping with cocoa powder is by using a sifter.

Haha, at last I found someone who doesn't like mint chocolate chip flavour! I never met anyone who didn't like it apart from myself and my mom who is badly allergic to mint smell in any variety. Now I feel some kind of weird spiritual connection!

Use a small sift for powdery things like cocoa powder or very fine glitter. Makes for better dispersion and less clumps.

The soap looks so yummy this week, as always - I now have a sudden and unexplained craving for mint chocolate chip ice cream. :) If I could choose, I would have a horse head, like Bottom from A Midsummer Night's Dream! And on that note... I know you really like classic literature - what if you did... a Shakespeare soap?! You could make it like a magic-forest soap or something! If you involved green and purple, some flowers, with maybe a gold mica drizzle on top like the love nectar from Midsummer, and of course lots and lots of glitter... I'd absolutely be your first customer.
idk if ive commented this but THIS TYPE OF PIPING ALWAYS reminds me of cacti:-) maybe u can make a desert themed soap with some sort of mexican or tex mex type of scent:-“) like fruit with a little bit of a chile or lime scent:-) so cute !

This is really pretty but I think it would be interesting to see if you made it like a 3 layer. Bottom solid chocolate, middle layer mint with chocolate chip/bar imbeds, top layer solid chocolate again.

Very nice soap! The video seemed to be bright and almost halting off the soap though so it was hard to tell the light green apart from the white in the swirl.
Speaking of ice cream, I'm allergic to mint but I ate mint chocolate chip ice cream once to taste it and I like it but it hurts 😩
savannah mcgill my mom is allergic to mint (peppermint and spearmint for sure). She can't stand the smell as well, and menthol also makes her suffocate, to the point when nobody should chew mint flavoured gum around her unless they want to kill her. There are different allergic reactions... I am okay with mint and love mint candy, but mint ice cream is not my thing hehe

Mint Chocolate Chip is one of my favorite ice creams. Second only to a tie between Double Fudge Brownie and Raspberry Cheesecake. :) I may have to grab this up if you do a restock.

You mentioned in one of your videos that your mom was an artist. Maybe your mother could show us some of her artwork while your off having itty-bitty. The soap looks delicious btw.
