Worst year of your favourite player?
2017 for Angie thats for sure. She couldn't handle the pressure of being number 1
Sharapova 2019 😭
Kenin 2022
@@user-qv5uj9ui6vlol we don’t count the years after that ban except for 2018 .
@@denidimov2544 then i guess 2009 or 2010? when she was recovering from shoulder injury
For me, 2022 was the worst year for Garbiñe. She lost 17 matches and won only 12, finishing the year out of the top 50 (after winning the WTA Finals the previous year)...
100% agree
I can understand! It's hard to define which is the worst year of Mladenovic because she learn a new language every year, that's impressive
😂😂
Why my audience always hate mladenovic so much😭😭
She’s still currently on her worst years lol
@@Sabinelisickifansss Maybe partly because of her performance against Muguruza at the 17 FO..?
@@Sabinelisickifansss cause i love her 🥰
The worst year of Sakkari: NeXt YeAr
I would say Halep’s worst year is 2023 🙃🙃
Ostapenko and Stephens deserve a space on the video too, Krejcikova is always injured, Sabalenka and Rybakina are a little too consistent and new to the top, as is Gauff, Sakkari I’m saying nothing, Badosa probably the year after she won IW (and got with Tsitsipas, Kontaveit was injured with her back most of the year after her wild run of internationals at the end of the year, Garcia should have the year after she won YEC, Mladenovic could have any year tbf
Usually the worst year follows a player's best season/year as it becomes really difficult to follow up on the success and the additional pressure to defend the points.
Unless there’s an injury involved this is usually where you can differentiate between great players and good players who can have a high peak but can’t sustain in for a long time. Being on the top of the game for extended periods is so much harder than people realise especially when the points defence starts
It didnt come up with Iga, she had very good 2023 after stellar 2022
When you're losing to Genie post 2015 you know it ain't good lol
Worst year of Halep but she still win like 71%
OMG!!!
yeah. Except of that, she has way better percentage of winning matches in career than Osaka and Kerber, who won more Slams
It’s bc she was taking Roxadut 😭 lmao she’s Sharapova coded
it happens when you dope
@@spillomina those tests came out negative babes 😂 stay maddie
Muguruza 2022?
And the best year of WTA players is also a good idea. Is there a such video?
Garbine in 2022 was so sad after she had won the WTA finals.
Garcia 2023, after she had won the WTA finals, too.
I will skip some names due to them having had some type of injury.
Is there a part 2 coming?!
Genie Bouchard worst year : 2016 to 2023 lol
As a Kerber fan, I immediately knew 2017 was going to be the pick for her. That was brutal.
Radwańska's foot was already badly damaged in 2017. She also suffered a viral illness which decreased her body mass. At the start of 2018 she was barely running.
Still don't know how she defeated world no.1 Halep in 2018 in that body state.
Ultimately, Aga's destroyed foot is the reason of her retirement, and she says that she suffers from pains till now.
6 years after her retirement, and she still needs physiotherapy for that.
2006 was Serena's nadir (not that you included her).
From here on out, every year is my worst year.
The last video I thought the opposite player was serena until I saw the name.
Where has KUZNETSOVA BEEN?!?
Friday during my carride I was thinking of her where has she gone
the motivation you give is amazing
I think the worst year of Muguruza is 2022 because she start the year on top 3 and ended out of top 50
What about sabine lisicki worst year ..😅
she wouldn' t be included cus she was never a top WTA player
I can understand why many tennis players had got the worst year in 2022. That was the Iga Swiatek prime year.
A literal nightmare, hope it will never happen again
@@seegecs1224 cope
Kerber -2024. Only 1 win out of 6 matches so far in her comeback year.
Wasn't Halep injured during 2021... I remember her not even defending her Wimbledon title
Yup, she missed both Roland Garros and Wimbledon; I don't think it was a bad year at all, as she still managed to finish in the top 20
This year must be heading towards Sakkari and Pegulas worst year.
Neither are top players.
@@joshuaclemons2137 They were both ranked number 3 in the world. Pegula is ranked 5th best player in the world currently. You have no idea what you're talking about.
how halep won 71% of her matches in her worst season, is that real?
Kerbers 2017 showed to me how much of an outlier that 2016 season was
Nope, it was not an outlier; she finished 2018 at no.2 again
A 4.5 player from my club has a legit chance at winning any woman's tour event.
Mentally weak across the board except for a few, rare exceptions.
lol
@@aaron.y2k If you have a valid counterpoint, I'm willing to listen. Otherwise, look at UTR. The best U18 would beat the best women on tour.
And any of them can have a good week because virtually no one is consistent for any appreciable length of time.
@@tennisiswonderful the best U18 is a jump from 4.5 club player…
you really underestimate the ability of these women.
@aaron.y2k And yet, anyone who plays the boys 18 nationals would crush the top women.
To say nothing about how flaky they are on tour anyway. I mean, don't believe me, look at the results!!
