    My husband is a parts delivery driver for NAPA. He dropped something off into this garage and the owner (he knew Malcolm was from NZ) and said "Come look at what we got on this lift". It was a BRITISH MADE MORRIS!!! Left-hand configuration and the old, ugly sage green paint job that was the thing at the time. Missoula, Montana.

      I grew up in a big family in Calif. and we had a Morris Bus. The only one i ever saw. I remember my father cranking it up to start it once in awhile when it wouldn't start.

    Before I retired in 2004, I worked for a large school district in the construction office. My boss was a total cat person (as my co-worker and I were) and he used to bring us kittens he found on construction sites. One day, he came back and said there was a kitten mewing in the dashboard of his truck. He couldn't find it and finally, our female inspector came to the office, went out and found it. It was a little black male that one of our other inspectors adopted and named Dash.

    That dang batman car seat has caught me off guard out of my periferal vision in the back seat of my pickup. We also have the spiderman and superman versions of the same car seat but there's something extra creepy about the batman one!

    Was100 mi from home when our brand new ev started a weird noise. Not wanting to get stuck somewhere on the way home we found a KIA shop. After honing in on it the guy said, it's this, showing us the dash cam we'd just bought but hadn't installed! It was on but alarming that it couldn't see anything! We all laughed about. But really, the new cars today have so many warning alarms it's insane!😅

    Opened my hood one time after being parked for three days. Bird had built a nest using the hood liner. The bird was on the engine in its nest dead. Poor thing.

    Can someone please explain how these animals are climbing into car engines? I thought they were like closed off or something?

      Not from underneath. What gets me is the tyre @ 8:13. I have seen lots of pictures like that, but never seen anything like that in real life...

    • @robertheinkel6225
      @robertheinkel6225 16 дней назад +1

      Definitely from underneath. There are openings large enough for critters to crawl into.

      Yep. My dad rarely opened the bonnet to check the oil or anything,( beats me how the ford kept going), but eventually had it in the mechanic's for something and there was a rats nest in the air cleaner. Dad had been saying what a good ratter the cat was, as he'd found dead ones on the drive!!

      Also, animals tend to get in, because the engine is warm after a drive. I used to be a vet tech and Ive seen plenty of animals mauled by belts etc inside the engine bay; most just looked bad, but few amputations too.

    The sticking gas pedal. Many moons ago in college. Spouse and I both had a vehicle and drove daily to school, different vehicles and routes. I had 11 stop lights, three miles of interstate and a VW type 3 Square back ( mini station wagon thing) that had enough rust the driver could look to the right and watch the road pass by. Things were going south on it and i dutifully reported it all, including when the gas pedal started sticking from snow, ice and general frozen when the interstate merge happened. So about the time you got lane, the dip to reach all the way down and pull the pedal up meant you could see zilch. Plus having to hold the shift in second and fourth gear. Timing, so only caught by 3 of the lights and the twice a day grab the pedal. Spouse rode with me one day and almost laid one when I shot into heavy traffic with ice and went down for the pull. WHY DIDNT YOU SAY ANYTHING!!! I did, I’ve been driving like this for a month. They Tried driving it and couldn’t get it around the block. Drive their 1971 F150 clutch. I couldn’t get that one around the block, same thing, it had just crept into rolling junk. At -35 in a snow covered alley we took a hair dryer and thawed everything out…

      the old bugs were bad about meeting trucks on the road.if you didn't have a firm grip on the steering you could jump a lane over.

    • @wolfoftheages

      @user-ng6fd8vs4g Some of those trackers have tech that can't just be smashed into a little device. If they use satellite positioning, for example. It's also in some kind of protective case and the screen looks very shiny still. It could definitely be some previously unused, old school device but my guess is that it has satellite positioning and is designed for some kind of industrial fleet of vehicles that work in rural and/or hard to reach locations in less than ideal conditions (forest & wildlife trucks, wildfire/backwoods firefighting units, logging trucks, offshore industries, etc). The husband might work in one of those industries, making it easy for him to just nab an extra one or order one if he's a higher up. Either way, it's super illegal (not to mention against the TOS of the manufacturer, lol) to use it in that way if he's anywhere in the US.
      As a dude who has seen this happen to loved ones (both family and friends) before and even lost a friend to the violence that often follows the "innocent" tracking, I hope the judge throws the whole dang library at him but that he gets the mental help that he so clearly needs.
