  • In this video we take a look at an under appreciated JDM gem, the Mitsubishi GTO. On top of that, this one is an ultra-limited MR edition.

I have a 95 VR4 with about 50k miles on it and lemme tell you. It feels like a new car, it drives like a new car, it looks like a new car and it MOVES like a new car. 1 billion percent one of the most underrated, under appreciated JDM cars of the 90's. Love the content man. keep it up

Good review! Drove an R32, R33 300zx RX7 FD, Evo 8, 2 Subaru STis, Supra MK4, MR2, S2000 and Eclipse and all I can say it is just as good. Power is available at lower rpm but becomes flat above 6k rpm. I love my GTO VR4. You just need to maintain them well and not go cheap on parts. Owned mine for 3 years now and still enjoy driving it.

Everybody talking about the car. I’m still on the part where he said he’s using an iPhone camera. The quality is great!

Cool, the MR come with tuned suspension that is a bit more sporty than the 91-95 ones (ECS suspension), ECS suspension on Tour is really comfortable.
My 160k 94TT and my 220k 91 VR4 are the most noisy cars ever (from interior plastics to suspension stuff), but those have been driven right.

My only issue with my 3000GT SL is that the interior back seats are SUPER uncomfortable, they have ALL of the lumbar support. That being said I'm not gonna sit back there every, seeing as I will be driving it.

how much did it cost for you to get this gem and how much time did it take. I want to get one before it becomes too much

Always the "it's heavy". It's a GT. Gran Turismo. Grand Tourer. Not a track missile. Try driving a full day in 3000GT vs in any of the peers from back in the day.

The active aero was excellent fot high speed stability. The car was designed for 200mph

Other than the disappointing engine note, there is nothing from this JDM era that is better value. The NSX is an amazing car, but the prices are revolting. You can get several GTOs for the price of an NSX.

Like 2 point those lil Japanese videos clips U inc that the GTO SR which is non turbo vs the twin Turbo GT-R(SR was SL in Japan, but unlike here it was not front wheel drive it was AWD over there..yes the non turbo mid level models were AWD). Also those same Japanese videos cats made an SR(non turbo GTO) vs the GTO VR-4 turbo in which da SR lost, but kept interesting for most of the race. Never owned a GT-R but heard a lot peo who owned both the GTO VR-4 n GT-R swear that in stock mode they R basically the same car for way less $$$.
