She then hugged me really hard and said thank you. I have not been hugged like that ever. I still think of her often.and how i long for a hug like that..
I’m so sorry for your loss. I also lost my mom. That lady sounded so thankful for you, you made her life I’m for sure! I also had a experience at the hospital, a nurse, this was the only nurse that cried, she gave me a gift box from the gift shop, that had a cardinal in it, that’s my fav bird and holds a special place in my heart. I’ll never forget her, she was a sweet heart, even though I didn’t know her very well. I can’t remember if she hugged me. But she was very sweet, and said that I’m so strong. I love that nurse, I hope to meet her again someday, hopefully it’s not in bad circumstances like last time though. God bless you!
When I was freshly out of high school I went to one of the last Warped Tours ever. I encountered a booth where people were writing down things that had happened to them and putting them on the wall via sticky notes. There was a really nice guy there that asked if he could pray for me. I’m not a religious person by any means but just that kind gesture really helped me that day. I don’t know his name but I’ll never forget that small act of kindness from him. It was sweet and I’m thankful I met him.

I’m so sorry for your loss, your grandmother was obviously a wonderful role model, I’m sure she was very proud of you. Thank you for taking the time to show kindness and patience to those that need a little more help than others. We can only hope that when we’re getting on in years and maybe need a little extra help that we’ll be fortunate enough to come across another young man or woman that has been as blessed as you, that like you chooses to pass that forward to others. I hope the pain you feel of your loss softens with time whilst at the same time the memories you have of your grandmother grow clearer and more vivid each day. Take care xx
I was drowning and this random lady saved me. Nobody else knew. Just her grabbing me and fishing me out from a pool. I would be dead if it weren’t for her.
Well I mean pay on the back to that women she’s a real life saver yeah? But in all seriousness I’m sorry that happens and I’m happy you seem to be alive and well.
Back when i was about 16 years old. Me and my father were left homeless by my mother after my father's mother died taking the money from the will and leaving us with bills on rhe house 8 months out all unpaid. On the way to live with my fathers twin sister because we had nowhere to go we broke down in my fathers dodge ram truck. Thankfully a mechanic shop down the road was able to tow us there but told us they wouldnt be able to work on our car that night and offered to look after the truck si we could stay the night at a motel. We had declined daying everything we owned was in that truck and that we didnt really have the money to pay for a hotel. So they stayed 5 hours after the shop closed. Working off the clock. Outside of the shop. In the snow. To fix our truck for us. Only charging us the price of the parts necessary to fix it which im fairly confident that they doscounted them heavily too. They also provided us some tools and a tire jack to make sure we got to california safely. Those people are people i will never forget
one time me and my family were at a car rental place and we had just gotten off our flight and me and my sister were sitting next to this little old lady, this lady started to talk to me a but she only spoke spanish (i took spanish for 5 years as a kid and remember absolutely none of it) so to have a conversation with her we were passing my phone back and forth in google translate and talking that way and when it was time for me to go she said she had a great time talking to me and gave me a hug i think about her sometimes and it reminds me to show kindness to strangers because you never know when you’re going to meet someone as kind as she was
I work in a nursing home and that's why I give everyone empathy is because my mom is severely mentally ill and she will end up in a home and I know if I'm kind to these people someone will be kind to her
This gentleman at a tire shop was setting next to me, we were talking while we both waiting for our cars, he talked about being in high school the day JFK was assassinated. I thought that was very interesting. I love history. Hope that man is doing well
When I was around 6, I was struggling with roller skating at a rink. Some older girl helped me out and made me perceive skating in a different way. I was trying to skate as if I was just walking normally, but she taught me that it's more like setting down your foot flat on the ground like you were sliding. I learned how to skate immediately after that and I never forgot it.
When I was 6-7, me and my parents were at the airport. We were tight on time and sat at the gate waiting for boarding. This nice old lady had a chick fil a' chicken sandwich. I was so hungry. The lady cut the sandwich in half and let me have some. She was the sweetest person ever. I hope she's doing ok. I never saw her again.

abt nine months ago i was having a bad day for a stupid reason so I went for a walk to clear my head. i had been wandering around in cloudy mist for about two hours when i came across this woman unpacking groceries from her trunk. she looked at me and told me the stems of one of the pumpkins she had bought had snapped on her drive home and asked me for some advice on how to fix it. we chatted abt the stem for a few minutes before she went back inside and i continued my walk. i still walk by her house sometimes and it makes me smile knowing that there are really still some friendly kind ppl in the world. sometimes the universe just knows :)
