English Luigi: MARIOOO !
French Luigi: MARIOOO !
Japanese Luigi: NII-SAAAAN !

luigi: don't use the tube, onii chan
Il love japan🤣❤️🤣❤️
In all fairness in the Japanese hierarchical society, age and experience earns you respect wherein people don't use your name out of respect, rather, they use your title...you're probably familiar with the "senpai" thing, it's kinda like that...just like you would call your mother "mom" not "Martha" or your teacher "sir/ teacher" not "Joe" you call your big brother "nii san" rather than his name. This sort of society is why luigi being okay with mario outshining him makes sense in Japan, where people feel respect towards a successful person rather than wanting to overthrow him, and doesn't make sense in the us where society is all about the individual rather than the group, so they can't accept that Luigi is anything but resentful and hateful towards his more successful brother.
@SORD DRAGON in American, he calls him Big Bro (like in the one piece dub with Franky and his brothers and sisters)
The French Mario Movie is perfect in every way.

It's the French Detective Pikachu / Deadpool who've done it.

"As french" is even less grammatically correct than the original.
Really nice having JP Luigi say "nii-san" instead of Mario's name. Really shows how close they are as brothers in that language.
It's just that in French when we talk between siblings we don't often use "Brother/Bro" or "Sister/Sis" or anything because it don't sound natural instead we uses the first name more often maybe sometimes we uses "Fréro" or "Soeurette" but not that often
@@trishiba_1 Which is valid. Different families have different ways of addressing each other, nothing wrong with that.
@@ModernAegis but don't worry, I wasn't lecturing you, I was just explaining that to you for culture 😁
Well in English, we don’t really refer to our brothers or sisters as brother or sister lol. We call them by name
In American, we call them by their names, unless introducing them
Luigi: this is my Big Bro Mario.
Or unless your a baby then you say “big brother” (usually brubber) or “big sister” (sissy) even then its rare. But whenever the Japanese call them that, it’s like they are a baby to us. Throw in the totally 10,000 year old vampire short girls, women who sound/use baby talk, and you tend to get westerners who think the Japanese have “immature tastes”.
No offense intended. Just sharing some cultural differences ✌️
Mamoru Miyano voicing Mario was not a sentence I thought I would ever write but here we are
Never thought I'd see Tsuburaya's golden boi be Nintendo's as well

man, it's not even just chris pratt's voice it's his acting overall too. just in the way they speak, the french dub and japanese dubs have a better charm.
I disagree about the Japanese one. That one is rather off, IMO.
Chris Pratt sounds like he just went on set for the paycheck and didn’t put effort into the role.
@@darkstrike1060 true...
@KristiyanT Not about being Japanese per-se. It's just the voice acting or the voice actor choice (for what I can tell from this trailer) specifically.
As an example, IMO, Bowser is great in the 3 versions.
Mario definitely feel better in french. Both English and French Bowser are very good, not sold on japanese. All Luigi's voice are great, I have a personal preference for the japanese one. Peach is also very good in each language but the "no stress" jock is totally lost in the japanese version.
Overall, I think french is my favorite but each language does a good job so far.
Our French version is definitely better than English 🇫🇷😎
Shame that Chris Pratt was choosen for the Mario voice.
After watching the og mario movie in japanese (animated one they likely ret-conned) I like the japanese one too, especially their bowser and peach, but for once I'm sold on the french dub
@@flyingstonemon3564 When dubbing is took seriously we (france) have THE BEST voice actors. They are quite often as, if not more, revered than actors. One great exemple of that is the voice of "asterix" Roger Carel. The voice became sinonymus with nostalgia, as he also voiced characters such as C3PO, winnie the poo, mikey mouse and many others in the french dubs.
He unfortunatly died two years ago, but his legacy is etched deep in many french childhoods.
I'm happy they took this movie seriously.
Peaches voice is too low imo, and I think the Japanese bowser sounds just as epic as the other too!
@@DonjiKong I actually know why you'll not hear a high voice in french works, high pitches are not seen as cute but annoying, so generally all cute characters get older woman voices, It also happened with the game no straight roads with their kawaii character
As a native French speaker, I must admit I like the English Luigi.
Charlie Day my beloved, u should watch It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, he's a main actor
charlie day is an amazing luigi, chris pratt is just awful though

French Mario, English Luigi, & Japanese Peach, I felt their deliveries paid homage to their characters the best. Japanese dub Bowser is about as villainy as you'd hear from any kind of anime character, maybe just me with having watched so much.
