Danny "Abed" Pudi is a treasure. He must be protected at all costs. He has great chemistry with pretty much every co-star (most of them do tbh) and you can tell it's genuine and not forced. Love this show
The lack of any applause for the Russo brothers is kinda funny considering how successful they are now
Chevys answer at 14:43 shows how much he actually cares about the character of pierce. And like pierce, began to lash out about the shows writing when he felt hurt in real life on set
What happened with Donald (as far as I know) was really unfortunate. But, I don't think it was always like this. Of course he is an old man, he probably has ego thanks to his 80s era but I am sure he was not such bad person all the time. Plus, I think the drama with Dan behind the scenes was not one-sided as well. The cast is probably disappointed as well since if you watched the vulture fest they are all stayed silent when Dan started to talk trash about Chevy.

I definitely think Dan Harmon is a genius and Community and Rick and Morty are two of the best shows of all time, but with that does come ego and I think Chevy wanted Dan to listen more to how he saw the character rather than constantly just trying to make Pierce a terrible human to the bone.
@@mmyilmazyurt8666 he’s had a reputation for being unprofessional and combative throughout his whole career, as far back as the first SNL season and on movies too. He’s said some really fucked up stuff to people, if you look into it you’d be appalled. It’s a shame because I really enjoyed him as Pierce and if he put his ego aside his character could have had so much growth in season 4.
lets not act like chevy is some oppressed underdog. hes been a notorious ahole his whole career and he was literally racist to donald glover. pierce is hilarious though
You know it's old because:
- Chevy hasn't ostracized himself from the group
- The Russos haven't done their little indy project with Buena Vista

Chevy is an absolute goldmine, and when many actors would joke and then answer the question such as Jim says, you can't tell when Chevy is joking or not.

It actually breaks my heart that life imitated art so much and he got slowly more and more ostracized by the group... I can only pray that he's in the movie somehow.

Chevy has funny moments in this panel, but his main problem is that in any given moment, he'll make one or two more jokes than he needed to. And he definitely said something really awkward at some point, because there's a clear edit.

When he does his blowing his nose bit he usually references someone famous for cocain use. You know, making fun of how their nose is fucked. He does it in "norm macdonald has a show" and references John belushi. So maybe he had a unnecessary dark turn that they decided to cut

Sure, Chevy Chase may be an older gentleman with some outmoded mannerisms and preconceived notions in regards to how things are "meant to function", which reflect in his way of approaching the business side of Hollywood (hence his poor reputation among those he's recently worked with)- however, Chase has always been a naturally funny actor with an inveterate wherewithal for comedic timing. You should watch some of his early stuff, if you haven't.

And kids, that's how Raphael Bob-Waksberg - who was obiviously in the audience - had first realized the missing part of his half human half animal world tv show: Jeff's dad as the main character. 3 years later the show is a hit on Netflix.

Am I just tired and imagining things, or does Dan Harmon have kind of a Gene Belcher (from Bob's Burgers) "vibe" in this panel? The way he deadpan somehow made me think of Gene.
I feel more connected with Chevy Chase after watching this video. He is a true comedian and really loved his character and felt bad being left out. As another person who has been left out of things his life, I kinda relate to him
I don't know about you, but Chevy did that to himself. Read about the things he did and said when he was on the show (including telling Donald Glover he was only funny cos he was black). I still feel kinda sorry for him, for now it seems no one wants to work with him anymore, but he caused that.

It might just be a coincidence, but Jim Rash getting announced second (between the producer and the writer/creator of the show) is so cool considering how great his character became in seasons 4-6.
