Ted Cruz is a lot of things. A lot of people like him or hate him for various reasons. However, In this particular case you have to respect his ability to review the credentials of judicial nominees. He is a very smart Harvard-educated lawyer.

Cruz was likely deceptive, cases coming before the courts do not likely relate to sex abuser living "next to" a school but more stringent restrictions, like not within half a mile. The issue being, is a sex offender allowed to live as a productive citizen? A strong argument can be made that not allowing them to increases the chance of reoffending.

Cruz's best work is when he's cross examining. He is very good at arguing the flaws, errors, and such of those he examines. He is especially good at crushing people with their own admissions, and finding outs to give that when not accepted prove the negligence or malice of the examinee.

No federal Judge should be appointed by a single party, a federal judge should have a minimum 30% approval from the other party. We can’t have one sided judges from either side of the line running any part of this country anymore.
It used to be judicial appointments were generally approved by both parties.

This is the problem. Obama appointed these kind of Judges. and He is far worse than Biden. Look at how unconcern of the law the left is. We have several FBI lawyers caught lying to a FiSA judge. Instead of the case being thrown out, and these FBI agents fired and prosecuted, they continue to prosecute the case, and these people were the President and his people. Worse, we caught another FBI lawyer falsifying evidence to cover up the other FBI lawyers, and he got a slap on the wrist. all but two or three Democrat congressman was fine with this. Then we see the government violate the forementioned Brady on the shaman from the so called insurrection. They are fine with that. from the group screaming BLM and police are corrupt, they think it's acceptable that there is a judge who don't know Brady.
I have been watching a number of these videos on the nomination of Federal judges. I am totally disgusted at the type of person the dems are nominating. Many are totally unqualified and extreme in their left wing views. And the fact that no dem has voted against even the most unqualified and extreme nominee reveals the true nature of dems: They care more about power and maintaining their power them they care about the good of the country. Some of these nominees are truly frightening people, and their decisions will continue to destroy our culture and our way of life.

This is scary, these Judges and DA's is where the rubber meets the road in a functioning healthy society. We're already seeing the impact that they're having by not prosecuting criminals and prosecuting people that "legally" defend themselves where they we're obviously in the right. Knowing objective right and wrong, unbiasedly upholding the law is essential for a judge.
