- Following more than 60 arrests on the campus of UC San Diego early Monday morning, those taken into custody have been released after many of them were booked at the Central Jail in downtown San Diego.
Outside the jail, a couple hundred supporters of those arrested gathered to demand their release, saying that these protesters were exercising their freedom of speech peacefully.
As they were released, many of the protesters received cheers and applause from the crowds of supporters waiting for them.

My people?
Go to Gaza then.
Stop supporting Israel born and raised in San Diego and I'm welcome any Palestine movement that shows how Israel is a terrorist country and full of cowards you support the idf Diego don't want you
Seriously 😂😂 this doesn’t help Gaza by any means whatsoever 😂😂
@@ynotarroyo3 exactly!
Israel is not going to stop going after Hamas no matter how much college students cry about it.
Trespassing to others property is not a freedom of speech.
Stop these people
Zuheir Mohsen, on of the PLO leaders in 1977:
"The Palestinian people do not exist. It is only for political reasons that we carefully endorse our Palestinian identity. It is only for tactical reasons. The establishment of a Palestinian state is a new means to continue the struggle against Israel and for Arab unity."
Yeah you don't here these useful idiots condemning Hamas!
They can't monitor the people in those camps and those aren't all students. Those are people connected to cells.
And the protester that says she will continue to fight for her people. Yeah she isn't our people. Her status needs to be revoked and deported.
No more refugees from non western countries.
i wonder if this is true??????
Students dont know what they are truley protesting about.
They know exactly what they're protesting. The fact is that YOU don't know because you're uninformed. And YOU are part of the problem. Nothing to be proud of. These are our children. Grow up and support our people!
yes they do. but i doubt you do, sounds like you don't have a dam clue.
A lot of these students have family living in Palestine so they know exactly what they’re protesting. You just don’t agree with them.
22 out of 60 werent students i sense reverse csncel culture following
The encampment inhibited absolutely nobody from going to class until UCSD decided to shut down all of campus and move classes online so they could incite violence on their students. As a student who goes there and visited the encampment multiple times, it was refreshing having such a big presence of organized community at a school that already gets a bad rep for being “socially dead”. Whether you share the same views or not, the point still stands in that UCSD admin let unarmed protesters (young college STUDENTS might I add) get violated and be subject to large amounts of brutality on a campus they PAY thousands of dollars to attend every single year. We have a right to be able to decide what our money contributes to, and we should have never been penalized for that.
Another failed attempt to make a difference
Very true.... These Campus protesters / activists, along with the Rent-a-Mob on the streets have ZERO bearing on the conflict in Gaza..... Today the IDF began its Rafah offensive as announced, and will carry on its objectives as planned.
Much like the January 6 rioters who thought they could reverse the election results.
What a shallow thinker you are!
What a shallow thinker!
Look what happened at UC Riverside!!!
im a student. i was not part of the protest. all the time the camp was there - it was peaceful. it did not pose any danger or threat to anything or anyone. chancellor and the city abused power, by using brutal force with gunmen and snipers against peaceful students, who were exercising their first amendment right. i signed an open letter today, along with hundreds of students and faculty stating that. i can witness this in any court if needed. this was an abuse of power against unarmed young americans, doing what every american supposed to do freely - peacefully expressing their opinion.
Spoiled brat
I support you students and agree with your cause. The antisemitic defence is so stupid and insulting to our intelligence.
@@dmbfannh
more and more, that defense is being exposed as a way to distract from the main issue at stake!!!
They can’t encamp there. They can have a rally but not an encampment. Plus it’s gross. They always leave so much trash.
Sit down and go study. You kids have no life experience outside of high school. You cannot even support yourselves.
You know absolutely nothing about the world.
Just because you kids have the right to speak does not mean you should speak.
Do you relize they are apart of the barbaric Hamas
They oppose genocide BY ISRIEL and the barbaric IDF !!
You’re all over the comment section letting your ignorance be known.
@@QuanPookieNo she’s right. They’re actually on video saying they support Hamas.
More like they denounce the Barbaric IDF!
@@QuanPookie Who are you taking to?
If you let garbage accummulate inside the house - sooner or later it becomes unlivable.
They said that about the Irish!
These are the academic DEI safe spaces that were actually promised.
The U.S., British, and Israeli governments, and those who support them, are all equally guilty. They are not qualified to condemn other countries for their conflicts and aggression.
In the midst of all this, the students who are speaking out are the hope of this country. They are the hope of this country because they are good people and cannot tolerate the contradictions of their government. I firmly support the courage of these students.
Explain why then, do the other Arab nations around them do not help? JORDAN, Syria, Egypt, no help. Why? Because it is HAMAS
Defund AIPAC now
THIS WHOLE PROTEST IS HELPING PALESTINE ZERO PERCENT THEY ARE STILL DYING OVER THERE.
weird that jacob rendler can't stop smiling....
No tax money of the American labors to the Hamas Universities.
Request a discount or refund for the quarter.
What else are they gonna demand ?
Free Palestine may God free your people
Imagine a people so insulated, so conspiratally deceitful that one's own country now must pass laws so that YOU cannot criticize them
Careful though. Referring to the whole 'people' to criticize the actions of the portion that chose to hide behind the guise of antisemitism is just adding to the problem. The Jewish people are not represented by the Israeli government, and the few ridiculously entitled people claiming these unnecessary insulations should be treated as the problem they are, rather than as part of a people they do not properly represent.
Perhaps they are referring those who subscribe to
Z ion ism ?
@@sevensages5279 The distinction is absolutely worth making, because as it stands, the original comment is exactly in line with what they are trying to bait out. They bait responses like that, which don't properly distinguish between entitled distortionists and the overall Jewish people, because then they have the easy argument against antisemitism that they wanted. In reality, they just want people to reply with hatred that is easy to counter. But calling them out for who they really are is more valuable to society because then more people will understand and start ignoring their rhetoric and actually moving toward helping people.
Were they calling for genocide against Jew or stop genocide in Palestine?
Both.
Rumor is they'll be protesting the Yellow Brick Road next week for being racist.
I wouldn't be surprised if both, given the reality of what's going on in Gaza.
Genocide of Jews supporting Hamas Terrorists. Radicalized Muslims everywhere in these pictures showing hate. Shame, Shame, Shame on Muslims!!
they opposed the mass murder in Gaza
Now they want to use masks
So, over a third of the arrested were non-students that just needed a place to get some attention, maybe because they were down on their "like" counts on their Facebook, Instagram and TicTok accounts? I understand that mugshot viewing by future employers is all the rage today, so maybe the poor babies will score big.
There is no anti Jewish anti Jewish statements recorded
2:10 "to walk freely without fear" of seeing people exercise their first amendment liberties....
Unless their expression fails a manner, time, or place restriction as determined by a reasonable person, those people have a right to express their feelings to what they feel is unjust. You have ABSOLUTELY NO right not to have your feelings hurt.
They’re not peaceful
They did fail the manner, time and place restrictions.
@eriks
Point we'll taken,
but how could anyone be fearful of those who want to end the killing of innocents???
is there a scientific term for “fear of seeing signs” ??
What a waste of time. None of these people have the courage to actually go to Israel and fight for the very rights they are protesting. Go back to class and try to be useful in the world.
Way to miss the entire point genius!!!
They want PEACE ,
For the uneducated, peace means the opposite of fighting a war!!!
@@sevensages5279 I guess you can say I am a u educated knuckle dragger. (Albeit Well educated later in life) Knuckle Draggers do the real fighting while these idiots waste everyone’s time including their own. They should find a better way to contribute to society. It is of course their prerogative to waste their own time but should avoid interfering in others.
The Christian and Druze Lebanese produce a cannabis resin that is sought after, but for a decade now the Jewish Israelis have been producing a cannabis resin that is gaining in popularity. The Muslims had for long the upper hand as the resin produced in Marocco was highly reputed, but though quality is still found, lately adulterated resins caused a decline in trust.
I opine that lsrael is poised to become a leader in the market, but l do not deny the potential Switzerland has. If we talk about cannabis buds, certainly Israel has what it takes to be at the top, but Canada seems better placed currently. The USA is fairly well-placed to keep being the leader though, but the Dutch, notably via the seed banks Green House and Dutch Passion are able to vie. Sadly for the Dutch, the Netherlands fell behind and now the USA took over as the leader about buds. About resin, a cooperation between lsrael and India could produce wonders.
White Widow, by Green House, comes from a Brasilian variety crossed with a South lndian one. I am certain that one of those robust varieties found in the Neguev, crossed with varieties from Haryana or Kerala, may well lead to an interesting hybrid. Landraces must be preserved, but hybrids do have benefits too.
I think that lsrael will get the medal, about resin. Buds... Well, Uruguay and Germany may create the surprise. Most Sadly, France is impaired by his cocaine-addicted president, Macron, but the French could be the best in the domain. As it stands, they stand little to no chance to win the Cannabis Cup. Afghanistan has landraces that are highly valued, but the Afghans do not make a resin that is of interest.
To me, unless foes from within can mar its chance, Israel will emerge as a leader in both medical and recreational cannabis in the years to come.
jesse what the fuck are you talking about
So you are a real pot head? I'd wouldn't want to count what few brain cells you have left, or wait for you to slowly finish a word or sentencing.
Most of them dont know what the protesting about. Some are probably failing class joined in because now they are requesting cancel finals 😂😂😂.
Remember seeing Tiananmen Square protest. Thousands of students were sitting in the streets for weeks and months without leaving. Many starved themselves to demand the ccp to step down. They were peaceful and yet met with harsh military crack down. What did they do wrong ? What did pro Palestine students do wrong if they were only camping on a lawn? Health concerns? Or is it just an excuse to get rid of them? Who makes the university rules? What makes this nation different from authoritarian states if peaceful protest like occupying a patch of lawn within a school isn’t even allowed? What is allowed then?
🇵🇸 ✌️
Solidarity with the Students !!! Free Palestine !!!
Hitler, how are you n them different
Why go after kids that dont even live there. ?
shame on humanity for not supporting Palestine
Shame on you for supporting Hamas

@@julielemker2131 shame on you for saying anti genocide protestors are pro Hamas.
