The video is well done and I appreciate the effort to research units that you haven't had experience playing with or against. I've been playing Rebels since day 1, so here are a few of my insights: 1. Cassian is far too low. He is probably low S/high A. He's more than just a ranged Jyn...his command cards are better, he offers more support, and his synergy with K2S0 is great. 2. Chewbacca should be a high C/low B. He can be a great piece to support a weaker Commander, his bowcaster can throw some surprising damage on vehicles with Surge to Crit, and when he is enraged, he can be devastating in melee. 3. Wookiees should be A tier. After their price reduction and the addition of the new heavy upgrades, and scale...these are hard-hitting, fast, damage sponges. 4. Han and Jyn are low D and arguably the worst commanders in the game at the moment. 5. I would move Rebel Commandoes to C. They are basically slightly better Rebel troopers, but in a far more competitive slot.
Thanks for this. I'm mainly a clone player but decided to start giving rebels a try. I'm actually really liking Jyn so far. I've played 3 games with her and she's currently undefeated. Her 1-pip is actually what won me the last game.
I have found the veteran emplacement is a great way to just shut down a flank. It really is great at discouraging the enemy from wanting to go that way.
I respect that you admit your hateness when discussing Chewie. I played my first demo game yesterday at my local shop, and I really enjoyed the game. There is a good depth of units and heroes to learn, and this video is extremely helpful for someone entering the game with a base-level knowledge of mechanics. I really like to explore games and create my own deck/forces, but with sheer cost involved with this game (which I heard is cheap compared to other tabletop games) and lack of time, this is so useful. That being said, I may invest in the new Shadow Collective, as their timing of release coincides with my entering of the game. However, I am a little skeptical with the start box not having any command cards, and each merc sub-faction requiring orders to be administered by their leader type. We shall see. Thanks for posting.
I honestly wonder if the Tauntaun Riders were initially supposed to be Luke and Han on tauntauns and when they went away from making them unique they copy/pasted the wrong rules onto the card under the new points cost.
@@HollywoodWargaming Leia, her attack is far superior to Veers, it more reliably gets hits even w/o an aim it might only be range 2 but Leia like veers is a support commander not a front liner but better sharpshooter better dice and same pierce, her command cards are better than veers the only one thats comparable is the one pip, inspire 2 vs veers inspire 1. she is still the gold standard for a support commander, not sure if I'd put her in S tier but A for sure. Jyn, she is a solid mix of command and combat, Iden is a better combatant, but her commands are more selfish. Jyn is harder to use but in a good list an winning bid she is a beast, her three pip is among the best in the game. Id rate her a B all day. ATRT, even if it not as flashy as Tauntauns, it is still hard to beat a trip list of these guys, as an Imp player I'd rather face Tauntuans than these, yes they die a bit faster with more impact being taken with all the new armor units in the game but as a flanking unit or supporting a beatstick character theyre still rock solid. A tier (not by much but still there)
Good video and while it is over a year old it is still relevant as no new units have been released for Rebels just yet. That said I am a Rebel only player and I own everything except the A.A5. That bus is just too ugly for me, sure if I find it on sale at some point I'll get it but just not my thing. I personally love Cassian, K2 and Jyn. Cassian with his Sniper Loadout and K2 can pretty close to guarantee 2 crits every shot so blows through cover, good at chipping away at armor, and generally cannot be Guardianed off without help. Jyn, is very good when used properly. Her melee is great when going after trooper units like Stormtroopers (Very thematic right!), don't go toe to toe with another commander with Jyn she is meant to take down lesser units, often with ease. I also favor Rebel Troopers over Veterans because of all the Rebel Trooper Expansions that give them all kinds of options. Also if you are taking Veterans you almost have to take the Mark II to justify the value. I would never take Veterans without a Mark II (Or maybe a 1.4 FD Cannon). I would also drop Sabine down a notch to A. I just never feel like I quite get the value for the points I would want to make her S tier.
No. Right now GAR is in a bad place. Rebels will always have the advantage of being able to be built as a horde army, which will always be a strong benefit in such an objective heavy game. But buy what you want, not what will win. As we've seen with GAR armies go in and out of the spotlight almost every release wave.
I don’t like landspeeder for the same reason I NEVER run speeder bikes: it has speeder 1. Speeder 2 is great but a unit with speeder 1 just crashes into everything takes unnecessary wounds and decreases survivability. FFG seems to think compulsory moves are worth boosting points by 40. They are worth decreasing points by 40.
I think more people should be watching these videos as they are well put together and have great tips, plus are very well thought out. GG man.

Thanks for the assessment. A lot of your input is stuff I was very much on the fence about. Rebels are a hard faction to rank individually.
the rebel officer with portable scanner and vigilance are amazing

Jyn is SO GOOD. I have no idea why no one likes her. I made a list that works very very good jyn cassian k2 then literally a bunch of hoth units

Want a affordable tabletop wargame? Bolt action. Star Wars legion isn’t terrible either, but don’t even consider warhammer. Way to expensive.
Cassian is also fantastic at chipping away heros well before they can do anything.
The rebel snipers are jedi and sith killers with high velocity
The T-47 is probably my favorite unit for the Rebs rn
Ah this is the faction I started with thank you for ranking then
Another good video as always.
Awesome video. Just got the starter set and am trying to decide how to expand.

The rebel vets emplacement trooper got a range upgrade in the errata so is now 1-4 I think
Love your reviews, aside from Leia, Jyn, and ATRT i think your rankings are pretty good
Give me your stance on those 3 units please! Like I said I have little experience with Rebels on the tabletop.

Can't wait for the republic tier list!
It exists! Though it will be probably updated in the near future after the Kashyyk waves
Great vid!
Looking to start, leaning towards rebels. Are they the worst faction

So what you’re telling me is that the rebels are mid
