Where can I get this plant? Does it have another name? It sounds like something that could grow beneath my fruit trees. Siagon weather looks alot like Florida. Hail is common here too, and it is always caused by intense summer rain storms.
Yes I think the weather is very similar to the tropical parts of Florida! Didn't know hail is common though -- very interesting! In the U.S. try Asian markets at produce section. Scientific name: Kaempferia galanga. Would be lovely beneath your trees!
The rotating planter is so neat! Does it fade or crack after long periods of direct sunlight..... I'm just curious as I have a great deal of sunlight on my patio during the summer months. 😊
I've used the GreenStalk vertical planter going on it's 3rd year I think (in the U.S.) sun facing. It's been great. It's best if you give at least 1 FT of space before it hits the wall so the entire planter gets efficient light. Otherwise you can plant something more shade-loving on one side, or growth overall would slow down a little. I got mine parked almost touching the wall in the U.S. If you get it use my code to save $10 on $75+ orders: WENDILAND ITEM LINK: greenstalkgarden.com?rstr=WENDILAND
I would love a purple ruffles collard tree plant from you! I just tried to get one from your site but your sold out, will you be getting more soon? Or maybe some cuttings i can buy? Thanks
Was that overpowering eating it raw like that? This might be off topic but can you do a video on traditional Vietnamese farm/garden tools? Parangs and stuff like that?
I have seen Alpinia galanga (greater galangal) rhizomes at Vietnamese and Thai grocers in Chicago, but usually frozen or with the buds rubbed off (therefore no good for growing). It does show up, at greater cost, from mail order plant merchants (especially small FL, LA, or CA shops with an Etsy storefront). Strictly Medicinal sells Alpinia officinarum (lesser galangal), less common in the USA. I haven't been able to find Alpinia caerulea in this country, just its native Australia (not shipping here for phytosanitary reasons)
@@erikjohnson9223 Once a while you can catch something like this sold at Asian markets at produce section. Some sellers don't sell them fresh or they were irradiated which makes it very difficult to sprout. Great resources though @ericjohnson9223 !
Very interesting.
I don't know if it because of the camera but Wendi gets more adorable every day.

@@Stanlee99 "Sand" ginger
I bought about 5 pounds of ginger from Aldi's last month and planted them in the shade. The plants are very pretty. The harvest is going to be yuuuge.
I'm so excited for you!! Happy gardening!
This video camera is good! Seems like the thumbprint pops too. Nice focus, color and detail 👍

Have you ever tried to grow myoga ginger, they say you eat the flowers
What is it call in Vietnamese? Thanks!
Can you bring that home?
It’s illegal to bring any plant material from other countries into California or the unites states
I grow them in U.S. already, but need to get more going.
I can’t find galangal here in my area. I ordered from Amazon and could not get it to grow.
