Mod linked in description! Sorry for the slow posts lately not been feeling 100% still!
Dont worry man, you are slaying it!!
Don't overwork yourself, it's more important to make a full recovery
Gnoblars definitely raided a chaos dwarf pan factory 👍🏻
@Grayble's Gringus it definitely has a show hosted by Grom where he raids other race's restaurants and criticizes their cuisine while he eats everything in arms reach
Never stop the mod reviews, love it!!
agreed
I love the kings little jean pants. Also cant wait to see what they do with Braag. I do hope he is released separately as a LL for the Ogres as he is the Lord outside of the Ironskin Lord I relate to the most.
7:30 One thing to remember about units with fear is that it also makes them immune to it. So enemies won't scare his gnoblars, but he will also scare the enemies who would have on top of that !
Im like 300% certain that the Rustbuckets are actually inspired from the goblins in The Labyrinth
Anyone making a hobgoblin khanate mod?
Oh yes, I'd love to play as Hobgoblins!
Would be great. The only hobgoblins I found were the extension to chorfs
Amazes me that in the base game the 2 knoblars on Scrag's cauldron still have a bad graphical glitch after months yet moders can make a cauldron pulled by saber tusks in that time!
Agreed. I have seen that happen in my campaigns with Skrag twice or so and it was hilarious to see unfold!
Amazing :). 23:32 My favourite cavalry in the game.
Man I wish the ogres had access to a horde building system. Even if they had both I think it would be great!
Agree, or just that the camps could move - right now it feels a bit boring to put a ogre camp out only for you to move out of it's range in like 2-3 turns cause you took over a city close to it.
Rustbuckets remind of the Goblin Knights from Labyrinth, look pretty cool ngl
The rustbuckets look amazing, they alone sell the mod for me
What about merging the Ork's Goblin units with this faction?
The one thing I find weird about this mod is: Why aren't they in the Greenskins race tab but instead in their own? Despite being a unique group isolated from the rest, they are Greenskins.
Same reason why Bretonnia and the southern realms and border princes are seperate from the Empire tab despite being humans.
@@RK-cj4oc Yeah I've thought about that, but none of them are in a race tab called "Humans". Greenskins encompasses the entire race. If the GS were separated like the human races are, the race tab currently labeled GS should instead say "Orcs and Goblins" or even be seperated into Old World Orcs and Goblins, Savage Orcs, Forest Goblins, Dark Lands Orcs, etc.
What the Gnobblar race tab does by being seperate from the rest of the GS would be like if all playable human factions were in a Human race tab, but then Araby was made playable through a mod and it had its own race tab seperate from every other human faction.
“Royal Gnob Cheese”
Legend approves 👍🏻
Lacking cavalry or large unites for balance.
what are the powder sniffers?
are they grenadiers?
also i swear i've seen Gnoblars riding sabertusks in a cavalry unit somewhere!!
Looks super fun, and weaker factions sound even better for me as very hard difficoulty is barely a challenge
More green tings for the warp machine yes yes
I watched this video while painting my gnoblar horde
Sorry, he has a skill called "Royal Gnob Cheese"?
Where these gnoblars in lore I'm interested 😂
They may be in the same boat as Cylostra, Kostaltyn and, by now, Mother Ostankya: Original characters made for the game. Just replace CA and Sega with the Steam Workshop.
Conceptually a Gnoblar centered playable faction is fun just for the sake of a faction of clumsy little Goblinoids trying to assert themselves in a world where Orcs and Daemons and Settra live, but mechanically the mod developers didn't hit the mark. The factions are pathetically weak. Yes for Gnoblars that isn't surprising but there is no hill to crest where you start to see significant differences. They don't have anything that gives their units enough bite to stand on their own nor do they have a proper economy to supplement.
Buildings are too costly with no returns, neither the Hordes or Settlement buildings generate enough income. You can't do anything to boost your income beyond a few trade skills and upkeep reduction techs which, while good, still doesn't have a proper balance between crap unit/crap unit cost. Sacking, looting, post-battle loot, and settlement trading can net you money but you run into the issue quickly of lacking settlements to safely replenish in when all the AI need do is send one or two of its full stacks after you. Investing back into the Horde does not allow you the chance to afford to run something better than the base Gnoblars.
They only have access to two types of Magic, Wild and Maw.
Next to no unique Landmarks, once you own Scrap Tower and Pigbarter that is it.
The tech tree (available in the current release of the mod) is lukewarm. Some stat boosts, niche diplomatic relation boosts (there is one for Fimir so if you're not running that mod its worthless), and unlocking Scrap Upgrades for your units.
The Scrap mechanic is interesting but its dependent on the AI where they pop up. Alternating the Scrap Ritual options is fun but two out of four of them are dependent on you having Ogres that you can incite Gnoblar rebellions with so you can then steal their armies, assuming they take the settlement.
The mod doesn't follow the current game design philosophy and in trying to keep with the original mod design, handicap the faction to the point of not being playable.
Very super cool😃👍
mods for negash piramyde?
Are these Fraggle Rock Faction?
The only good gnoblar is an eaten gnoblar
Why do you speak of the Ogre mechanics as if it’s a negative? Aside from Big Names being underwhelming and Contract Rewards also being underwhelming the Ogres are a very well designed race to play.
wait you can create entire new races for campaigns?
well why hasnt anyone worked on an LOTR mod then?
i think because there is an lotr mod for a different total war already
Check out Divide and Conquer for medieval 2. I think there's a lotr mod being developed on TW Atilla currently too.
@@fonariuz141 yeah but it would seem easier to make one for warhammer since you already habe sooo many of the needed units.
Orcs, trolls, ghosts, mammoths, dragons and there even was a mod that created hobbits as a faction tho inside the warhammer universe
It seems like it would be really easy to do small reskins and get a lot of lotr-like units without much work and if you can integrate them into campaign too and shove around the normal factions you could recreate middleearth using the old world and eastern parts of the map
First!
They’re really weak, ngl
„Mod Review“ - yeahhhhh put these words at the end of the video title, wow!! 🤡
Bruh it’s not that deep lmao
He's a bit right
@@zarrstrudeltributemaker314 I mean even if it is a little right I would say it’s pretty common sense that CA didn’t just randomly add a new gnoblar race. So I think it’s obvious it’s a mod and not legit.
A spears job is to pierce armour. This should not be a strange thing
They've never been great at piercing armor irl- they're just cheap, great against horses, and take little time to train with. Hammers/clubs/axes, picks, and polearms were used on armored people.
