Ronin is the best class. Its hard to play without him and with him its alot easier. You can replace any other class, but you want a Ronin in your group.
Yeah I had one I got knocked and he just ran by me through down a insta revive bomb I just chuck down a smoke bomb then use my Samurai heal ability

I think I’d have to disagree with you at 3:10. Samurai’s ult can be controlled it’s just that many people don’t know how to do it. All you really have to do is just aim the left stick at the target you want to hit. It’s not 100% accurate but you can get it to hit in the general direction you want it to. Hope this helps.

Yeah when i would use ult you can also actually switch off a target if say it was an oni, you could land a few fury hits on it and if you move the stick it’ll actually get off them and switch to whoever’s closest to where you moved the stick
yessss was about to say u can switch characters all the time jus by pointing to ur targets and all ghost weapons like sticky bombs etc work the exact same way
The assassin does feel weak at times, but I can say from experience if your great at sword play the mass hallucination charm can be amazing for a team, example if a huge group of oni(assuming there is no 1 shot trash mobs) I would do massage damage to one really quickly(team can help) then vanish or bomb, assassinate and then boom you have a 5+ oni free for all
I agree. Much like how the skipping bow is mandatory for the hunter, I feel like for a hysteria charm is for the assassin. Being able to redirect the attention of several enemies is almost key to the assassin’s survival.

Two words for breezing through Nightmare, both raids and survival: Fire Ronin. Fire Master on the charm, Way of the Flame on a water katana, black powder bombs, sticky bomb and healing gourd. Stack status effect duration and damage where possible, along with resolve gain on both the katana and bombs. The techniques are healing incense, +50% ghost weapon damage, +1 resolve, fire ultimate.
This is not a replacement for the support healer Ronin but it has an insane amount of damage, likely more than both the Samurai and Hunter. I did Chapter 2 of the Nightmare raid with minimal bomb usage and got 326 kills along with 10+ revives, several of which were clutch in the final totem area.
The downsides of this build is that you have to be aware of how your teammates are doing and obviously if there is an Immunity modifier for any week this build is useless, but with the 1 extra resolve it should be easy enough to farm up additional resolve for back to back ultimates in case a teammate goes down

With samurai the superior armor perk on charm really grew on me 🖤 you can easily carry crystals in raid and on nm survival you dont get interrupted by 99% of the enemies attacks so can slash your way through the enemies like crazy and also dont get interrupter resurrecting allies if necessary
I have a skipping stone bow but nobody is talking abt the 3 shot bow. Its basically her ultimate but you can use your own arrows and do it whenever you want. That combined with the perk where she can refill her own ammo is crazy good

When i first played Assassin for a couple of rounds i thought this will never become my main class as i have played Ronin before and really enjoyed it. But after lvling up Assassin and finally was lucky enough to get the gear i wanted i played Assassin all the time and wouldn't really switch to other classes if i don't have to (with very very few exceptions). Especially when using bomb pack on Assassin you are basically able to use your ultimate all the time which is just so much fun
Huntress. Bow and sword is just such a fun play style. Mixing in seamless shots with sword combat made single player so enjoyable for me that I love it even more in multiplayer. You can easily stun lock enemies, have access to gross damage over time abilities and just a lot of nice burst on the bosses. I don't try and hoard clear while playing with friends though since they don't like it. So my build may be suboptimal but, when shit hits the fan, it hits hard.
A lot of people forget about the increase to status effect damage (or is it just fire damage?) the hunter gets. You absolutely tear through enemies easily with ‘fired up’ kunai and demon seeds.
In my opinion, they balanced the classes really really well.

With the forbidden medicine and the mist of Yagata, assassin is a INSANE support class for raid and nightmare activities
Assassin is strong people just use it wrong in the wrong circumstances. You want the fast assassinates, the plus 30 assassinates and the double legendaries. Then you put stealth attack dmg 20+ in the blowgun, charm and smoke. Now you're at/near 100percent assassinate dmg.
Use:- Sword with plus melee and ultimate.
-Spirit Kunai with melee and cooldown.
-Mist of Yagata with the obvious.
-Assassin charm with Hysteria.
With the fast assassinates you can kill or stab 4-5 enemies per smoke, any low health enemies you finish with kunai (kill 2 with one throw and you can throw again) and get 15s off ALL your cooldowns per kill (that's insane). In the mist you get some health regen (not loads but enough to off-set chip dmg). This combo can be up for pretty much every wave once you get used to it.
Yessir i main assassin and I hate how everyone actin like he weak when he can super powerful if played right.
@@jeb250 Most of them have slow assassinations and no spirit kunai. So they get killed mid animation (no immunity is a big turd but it is what it is) and have no skills off cooldown then cry when they can't sword fight as well as a Samurai when the next wave rolls in. If people just played their role to its strengths instead of run at enemy throw sticky mash sword they would have a much better time.
Personally I think using chain vanish or 5 hit shadow strike is probably better than 2nd legendary w mist of yagata. If your defense is good I shouldn’t have a problem w heals cuz not many ppl use the heals around the map on NM survival.
@@DivineNFS I normally run the chain vanish or 5strike but when I'm with randoms I run the mist to help with chip dmg heal/poison rounds because mY RONIN SUCKS DROP THE HEALING INCENSE PLEASE OMG FOR F-ahem-...
@@TakumiKhashi it is if you're looking at as a full health restore but when it comes to poison/healing that little hit you got from an arrow coming out of stealth because your team has hit all the drums and your ronin is running dogs and fire...it's a safe space for me to scream into the infinite
if you plan to assassin I really recommend you almost max out any possible chance you could do your stealth attack damage as most of the time I do about 75% damage to oni health and about 50% to a purple oni
You can theoretically get up 100-150% extra assassination damage, which is insane
Rn I got around 75%+ with blowdart,charm,and smoke bomb than can increase it with techniques like strong assassin plus stagger plus weaken u can do a shit ton
@@Rocko_101 is strong assassin the one with 30% extra assassination damage? Cuz with that I’m able to get 93.7% extra assassination damage. I did the same thing as you: stack assassination damage on blow dart, stealth charm, and smoke bomb.
@@isandrooo nah strong is the one where u use an resolve to do 2x assassination damage but the I still use the 30% cause just to be and one shot mostly anyone other than some shield brutes

The Ronin smoke bomb that drops ammo is quite useful if you run out of ammo quickly I mean you can also pick it up from kills too so shouldn't really run out that easy
Assassination should be buffed against oni.
Like it's pretty lame to sneak up on an oni and deal 1/5 of it's health

depends on the situation. since assasin ulti can not only be used in very long distances, it also has a lower chance to be wasted compared to the samurai. It also dish out more damage than samurai because aside from the raw damage. it also benefits from ultimate attack damage and stealth damage compare to the samurai which is only affected by ultimate attack dmg stat

I just spent 4 hours in chapter 2 and got stuck at the end as our runners and second man on the well could not stay up. I quit at 4am unfortunately.

You actually can somewhat give the direction of your ultimate slashes with the left joystick. I notice that you face the target you want to hit first and if you don’t touch the stick you will continue to hit that one target until you move the stick in specific direction

I am at least level 35 with all classes I have unlocked from all major legendaries. i'm mainly an assassin player (lvl 70), i won't say it's the worst class in the game but i think it's the most difficult to handle because you have to be as close as possible to enemies and you don't don't really have any effective means to regain life.
Yo a one tap build on assasin is insane if you have a smoke bomb you can perpetually just one tap any enemies if you have super crit and stealth damage on your gear👍
The best class is the one you play the most. For me is the samurai.

@@doxide 1)For survival: A)the assassin can hide and strike before the enemies reach the area, smoke bombs and vanish are the best here, but his life and defence are very low. B)With an archer you will try to stay inside the circle all the time, kill in that order, Tengus, archers, brutes. Same as the assassin not a very defensive character. C) Is the only class that I don't know well, but it looks like he can engage very well in melee fights, his bombs are awesome especially the healing ones, it looks like is the most balanced in terms of range, melee and defence. D) With the samurai, go and fight the brutes first with the moon stance, for using the ultimate attack. Parry is your friend against regular attacks, the perfect dodge against special abilities (those with a red dot), leeching is your best friend here. The samurai is the best for a face to face combat and for keeping them away from your defensive areas, until the assassin comes from behind or the archer kills them from the distance.
2)for story: pretty much the same.
There is no best class, I played with them all, but it depends on your style, it depends how good/and comfortable you are in certain situations. Hence for me the Samurai.
I feel like the hunter is more valuable than the assassin. A hunter can cc wit ease, they can clear a whole objective out by themselves if u have da right gear and setup. They also carry the dps load.
I mean it’s beyond obvious hunter has the highest dps of any other class. At higher levels, yes assassin isn’t as powerful as the rest but I love it anyway.

A tip for the Samurai mains you can kinda aim your ultimate trough usage of the controls and pushing it towards enemies you can change targets this way too.
I was about to give up on hunter class, then I somehow got the masters katana and skipping stone bow from the same rewards screen from a gold survival
Yes really only 2 ways to play assasian and recommend hysteria or going for ultimate with legendary bombpack.
na masamunes edge for extra ult damage and chain vanish 3 times to clear the smaller enemies then use blow dart to hallucinate the tanks at spawn. Hysteria good but doesn't really work on points because your teammates already killing them or they still target you. I tried doing bomb packs then vanish to hysteria the enemies at spawn but it's too much work when you can just dart the hard ones at spawn
Hysteria is lame, the triple vanish is cool but unfortunately, I don’t think there is a charm skill better than leeching parry. Survivability > everything else.

I main ronin and ppl literally let me know they are relieved somebody has the class because a lot of ppl think ronin is just for support but they can be a force of nature if you build it right.

Impactful throws works well with the bomb pack. Throw a couple bombs directly at a guy knock them down then finish them off while they are downed.
I reckon you can get a lot of them to have around the same dmg some a bit more then other and with your gear you can be stealth and use a bow the same it really just depends on what abilities you like or are useful to you that’s why I use samurai to quickly shread enemies health or kill a bunch
What are the mechanics on leaving and rejoining raids rn? We were so confused last night at points no one could rejoin but out of nowhere we could.
I main with Assassin and having the Hysteria perk on my class-item, makes me invaluable to my team, especially in the Nightmare Survival & Raid.

Most op build is a fire build on the hunter with the skipping stone bow with the fire arrow ability, on nightmare the flames deal almost 75% of champion oni’s health and its in an AOE, thus everything else dies

Nah I’ve ran with some assassins that fully hold down an area even control a spawn one point it’s all down to the player
I feel like the assasin didn't get enough credit as ur based on the fact that it cant one shot... I've seen alot of time that if the samurai is a last one alive they get overwhelmed and i can simply hold an area of a nightmare survival with some skill and tools and ability to vanish is very good to revive teamates... I would say no. 1 is assasin and then no. 2 ronin (ronin is must tho) and no. 3 hunter and then samurai... If u dont like my list dont argue but just try out different builds and logistics

Haven’t finished the raid yet but from what ive seen i think all 4 are viable for nightmare survival. You just need good skills and a good build
when i played ghost of tsushima i was a god a bows. used hunter and was definitely my best class.
Never ever seen anyone using moon stance in nightmare survival. Good luck spinning around while arrows come raining down.

Building each character takes forever as honor is soo scarce. Also I think after a gear piece is at 110 then each reroll should give max stats instead of rng low stats for purples.

@@jmd1991 My best advice is to complete weekly rewards i.e. nightmare story, survival, and raids with your hunter. That's how I usually get mines I'm rep 56 hunter main and I've had 5 or 6 skipping stone bows. Hope this helps and good luck hope you get one.
I have my samurai and it's immortal! I have extra 50% health and extra 2 resolve and the heavenly strike (of the sword, not the ability).
I think it's the best build existing, because I've won nightmare survival six times on a row and never got wounded even once!
PD: it doesnt mean the seventh time I did get wounded, just I finished playing xd

9:48 you say that for the Hunter to be good you need the class charm that refunds arrows on headshots. This is incorrect, you get Headshot Refund from the bow and it can be any bow.
Also I started as samurai but he's not very good. Blessed Strikes uptime isn't good enough so half the time you're running around waiting for cooldown
Charms Change everything
If your running around waiting for your skill CD your doing something wrong I can kill waves of enemies as sam and not use my main skill once hachimans with 5 hits and masamunes edge that's atleast 2 dead if not oni then 4
If you have the legendary kunai that reduce 15 seconds of cooldown when you kill an enemy, use them with samurai. Its hands down the best ghost weapon for Samurai because its the only one that has +melee damage in its stats. You can kill an enemy with the kunai and you cut your ability cooldown in half, you should be able to handle your own for 15 seconds at that point. I also use the healing gourd because it has the +injured resolve gain and the +damage reduction stat, so if you're on cooldown on your ability you can have healing gourd as a backup.
Stack melee damage on your sword, samurai charm, and spirit kunai. After your explosive strikes run out, get a kill w spirit kunai it’ll cut it by 15 secs. Just spam hachimans fury and explosive strikes and you’ll blitz pretty much everything. Got 300+ kills nightmare survival today w that
I would say use hunter if u have good aim and good at using there ults but assassin is really good
I think it depends on the map and condition. I have been playing story and survival nightmare I can see a huge different within these 4 weeks contents especially week 4 story. U only cant kill enemies with normal attack.

You can definitely run Nightmare or the Raid with the Bomb Pack Ultimate Spamming Build with the Assassin.

If no one is gonna say it then i will, the samurai is the most selfish class, 90% of people who main it don’t have any special builds and only wind up using it for its special ability. Sure, they get a decent amount of kills in survival, but die like 20 times and it’s annoying.

@@ameans82 a samurai build running damage reduction can hold point by themselves on nightmare mode for the most part, with the extra health you can get too you’re basically a tank

I dont like the idea of people calling samurai a tank because he really isn't, he dies just as easily as everyone, he only has a couple of healing tools in his kit and that's it. He also is not good at aggroing enemies because 3/4 of the classes are melee that are going to be in the thick of the fighting too, and since you are always outnumbered there are more than enough enemies to have the whole team engaged in the fight.
The only benefit of the samurai is that he is the go to class for a melee damage oriented build and he has more tools than anyone to hold a capture point on his own, hold out for quite some time and if he is good enough he can be expected to actually take care of the entire wave himself (huntress can kinda do it, but she is gonna have some finishing off the oni, ronin definitely can't just because he lacks the damage, and assassin can kinda do it too, but the problem is that he doesn't have sustain). This is from nightmare survival perspective, in gold and below you shouldn't have a problem holding a point on your own regardless of class.
People should really start playing samurai as a solo melee damage dealer instead of a tank, because his only "tanking" is him healing a bit over time and once that is on cooldown he can't "tank" anymore.
I think assassin is not useful when enemy is swarming to you..when you can take your time assassin is strong
Smoke bomb and vanish, most are one hit assassinations, for oni’s same thing but use it to drop their health by a bunch and clean it up with either bombs or your Ult

@@syd4n Use spirit kunai and cooldown reduction or cooldown reduction on kills w your properties. Spirit kunai reduces all cooldowns by 15 secs and w a high cd build I’m cycling through my abilities pretty consistently
@@syd4n spirit kunai applies to all cool down by 15 secs and if you and kill more than one target it adds another 15 secs. And if you have cool down on kill like I do then you get you smoke and vanish back almost immediately, so you have it up all the time

I wish they would patch that. Whenever I’m playing with a hunter, I can’t assassinate anything, they just set everyone on fire and it’s low key annoying.

If the devs felt like it, they could easily just make fired enemies be assassinated if they really cared to. Legends mode aren’t even dealing with actual humans, so what type of dumbass thinks to argue real world physics here?
Fire status is one of the most if not the most powerful statuses in a game. Assassins who are probably the weakest class at the highest level of content often choose not to use the fire status effect because then they can’t assassinate enemies. No other class is faced with this dilemma. For example no other class is unable to use certain abilities because an enemy is poisoned. For the sake of balance, either make status effects affect other classes abilities or just let assassins assasinate fired up enemies.
Imo there is no bad or good classes. Just the operator behind the class. 🤔

@@mrkillproof You are right hunter is good for it but my assasin build allows me and my partner to be almost always invisible or covered by smoke and high stealth kill damage one shot almost everything. I run this mission few times with people who had no idea what to do with no problem.

How the heck is samurai sustainable? When we have a 10+enemies swinging their katanas near samuass, only 2-3 hits send is to the better world of balanced games.
It's not the Hunter charm which has the perk that refunds arrows on headshots, it's the Skipping Stone Bow.
Hunter and ronin are super fun
Definitely the assassin is not one of the best, because if you say that, you've not played samurai.
Change all those invisibility abilities and smoke bombs for TONS of damage and a lot of health, which means more survivability.
Believe me, for survival it's the worst class, the one more dying
Sure not like when i play survival i am the one still standing beacuse i can juste put a smoke bomb and revive everyone and still have time to assinate enimies.

Hunter still favorite tho. Unlimited ranged damage that kills faster than any other class. Also with the unlimited explosive arrows mobs are destroyed in seconds on nightmare

To me water stance is the best it does the most damage you can break through everyone's guard is really quick like to me it's just best

assassin is op, if you have the right build set up.. lots of cooldown and injury resolve for example make it sort of a machine
