Da kommt Nostalgie auf! Es war die schönste Woche die ich je am Bökelberg im Original erlebt habe: das Spiel gegen Inter Mailand und wenige Tage später gegen Schalke 04.
In der Halbzeitpause hatte Inter bereits Einspruch eingelegt und es war damals üblich das aufgrund von solchen Fehlverhalten der einheimischen Fans die Spiele wiederholt wurden...dementsprechend hat Inter mit angezogener Handbremse die 2. Halbzeit gespielt mit dem Bewusstsein, das dieses Spiel nicht zählte und Gladbach unnötig Energie gelassen, die in Mailand sowie in Berlin beim Wiederholungsspiel weitaus nützlicher gewesen wären und gefehlt haben.
Tränen im Gesicht hab ich da weil die Borussia heute so nachgelassen hat. Aber das Video is klasse!BORUSSIA! U'LL NEVER WALK ALONE! Egal ob 1 oder 2 Liga!
schön das ihr euch alle noch an dieses geile spiel erinnert aber ihr solltet vlt wissen das es zu diesem spiel keine fernseh-übertragung gab. weder zusammenfassung noch live. gladbach oder inter konnten sich vorab nicht mit den tv-anstalten über die übertragungs-rechte einigen. deshalb ist dieses spiel ja auch so legendär: weil es nur die leute erlebt haben die an diesem abend am bökelberg standen.

It would be absurd to make a dirty trick at this time, the game stands 2-1 for B.M. and was not still compromised. And all along his career was Boninsegna a fair player and a courageous fighter. The game was played again in Berlin (after the one in Italy that Inter won 4-2) and it ends 0-0. But it remains a masterpiece of lawyer and Inter Vicepresident Giuseppe Prisco witch made possible to repeat the game. Anyway a wonderful B.M & Netzer: I was a fan of them

1) The goalkeeper made 3 rebounds on the ground, at the 3rd (just when ball stands at the ground & not in Lawrence hands) Peirò kicks the ball coming from behind, without a foul, first sideways then into the goal. I dont know why the referee of the match where Best made the same thing to Gordon Banks decided to cancel it.. but the one in Milan seems to be regular! 2) The free kick doesnt seem to be indirect cause the ref doesnt lift his arm over his head keeping in this way (rule 13)!

What's the problem with this game that Liverpool looses in Milan the 12 May 1965? Is it the second goal made by the Spanish forward of Inter Joaquin Peirò? It seems only a masterpiece of his personal cunning: a goalkeeper must even be careful about the position of the opponent forwards but when he lefts the ball he doesn't cares Peirò at all. Aniway it ended 3-0 and not 1-0.
The thing that you aren't able to understand is that there's nothing to dispute: Liverpool was & is a wonderful town & football team, your suspects may have some reasons but without a lawsuit it remains an opinion, respectable but only an opinion... all what you wrote. I don't wanna quarrel with anyone and i'm surely not the one that can teach "technicalities", i mentioned only the rule cause the only thing i can find about that event is the free kick, that seems excuted in a regular way. What kind of foul it was, direct or indirect is a decision of the ref and he could be conditionned by the things you suspected. But things like these are not so unusual in football. I agree that he should hadn't to ignore Smith aggression, who had surely to be suspended.

Semplicemente l'Inter dato che la lattina in testa c'era stata decise di conservare le forze, dato che dalla nostra parte avevamo un principe del foro come Prisco. @@furiaceca9357 A beh certo se i tifosi lanciano oggetti dalla curva che colpiscono gli avversari va benissimo perché il comportamento é da tollerare...ma va dai...i giocatori del inter sapevano già durante l'intervallo che la gara non contava ed andava ripetuta e i tedeschi come al solito contro avversari arrendevoli vanno oltre e cercano di affondarli (vedi i risultati con il San Marino in passato quando incontrava la Nazionale tedesca)...poi ce stato anche il difensore del Borussia che cerco di nascondere la lattina perché si rischiava la squalifica del campo e guarda caso proprio questo difensore a Berlino si scontro con Boninsegna e si fratturó la gamba.

it was not a dirty trick, it was a violent act by the german crowd. boninsegna was hit by a full can of coca cola, lost his senses and then woke up in the rest-room after being reanimated by the doctor. I would like the ones who said it was a trick to get hit by an object like that thrown from distance and then you ill tell me if it is a trick.

You're right. Inter won the second Game 4-2 in San Siro and the Replay ended without Goals. This Match were played in Berlin.
