  • Hi all, this is Shambhavi Chaudhary. Diagnosed with lupus nephritis class 5, followed by APLA and thyroid in 2018 may. Gave my exams with steroids and hospitalizations. cleared my finals with 80% aggregate in June. Took the job offer. Working on weekdays and weekends I would be in the hospital taking chemos or other tests or ivs. Got in meditation, yoga and a healthy lifestyle (tweaking what food suits me). Got compartment syndrome in 2019 March and was on bed rest for 3 months. Joined office bck in Jun. Doctors said it would take months to build the muscles. Was unable to walk in June and won badminton doubles in oct same year. Did scuba the following year. In 2020, my meds cut short from 18 per day to 2 per day. Living symptom free ever since. Thyroid vanished. Sometimes it goes up and down but doing pretty well and maintaining a lifestyle. Also got sponsored by my job for work in Europe for 2.5 months this year and I travel a lot.
At times everything might look blurry with no hopes and you might get into the negative loops. But remember one thing in every situation you can choose to be either wounded or wise. It doesn't matter what the world tells you about your health and condition. The biggest words are what you tell yourself. At times when I was at the darkest. I started living one day at a time focusing on what I want to do even if life was some other day. And make realistic small goals. Remember we all are magical. If only Stephen Hawking, the biggest physicist of the 20th century had just focused on his illness rather he lived doing what he loved.
Despite being diagnosed with lupus nephritis class 5 back in 2018, Shambhavi Chaudhary an IT professional did not give up on life by fighting it back and striking a balance with the disease.
Because life was much greater than any medical barrier.
