Wow, just look at the size of that thing, its like Godzilla! Lol. But seriously the precision of the setup is going to make anything manufactured on it just incredible... I just wish we could have this sort of precision at 'hobby prices' for desktop 3D printers and CNC... We are getting there but a long way to go.
Good informative video... Most useful for new birds of machin tool industry. As per my experience, all accuracies should be 'in built' (during machining of parent parts), Assembly people has to make them just debur, clean and cross check the accuracy level achieved in every steps of assembly. If it is within limits, you feel like a knife in butter... If not, then it becomes a pain in your ass...
At time 1:21 what is the block he seems to be rubbing on the base of the linear rail? It looks like a chunk of wax / like he is applying a layer of wax or other substance onto the rail (Or is it just a wiping block I'm mistaking for an applicator of some type??) ??

Is it like a Clay Bar used in car exterior detailing (removing fine particulates?)
@@WarThunderGerald It's an oil stone.
Hi, 1:26 what is it?
What is that gum/soap you use to clean the surfaces?
The gray block you see in the video is an oil stone. It is used to clean the surface and removes burrs and particles.
Thank you, I'd never have thought of using a sharpening tool for cleaning ! May I ask what grain do you use ?
@@FluxApexEng thank you for answering with further details this is still very useful 👍
